      "Still, waters run deep" , is it possible that what is true here is that, it is not necessarily about women, but about the Feminine, in which is self , subjective, Introversion and Feeling. Bc INFP is a very Feminine Personality type , and not just for women, for I am an INFP and a man.

    The dominant Fi is the reason I was able to narrow down my type to IxFP (after a lot of research lol). I don’t think I’ll ever be called a ‘rebel’ by anyone; it’s just I cannot go against my values and principles but I also tend to avoid conflicts. Btw thank you for this wonderful video. It may be that Carl Jung noticed introverted feeling mostly in women because the German culture of his time did not allow men to develop their feeling function fully and naturally----a problem that is still with us today in the United States. I believe that I am an introverted feeling type but I did not benefit from the good qualities of this type for the first decades of my life---rather, I was simply confused about who I was and what I wanted. Now at last I am aware of the "underlying images" that guide my feeling; they are mostly religious images and the strong impressions that certain historical men and women have made upon me. These impressions are not something that can be easily described in intellectual terms---but they can be felt and they contribute to the development of a subjective value system.

  • @puppetmasterreloaded3341

    With Fi as an INFP, you do you and I do mine kind of thinking. Accept the individuality of a person. When it comes to thinking, Fi can feel how people think by comparing to what people want based on human nature, like security, food, sex and all the mundane activities people do. This is the reason Fi gets bored easily, cause people are predictable.

    I'd add that there is a bit of a contradiction, or difficulty, with Fi types and their involvement in social interactions.
    Seeing as Fi naturally devalues the object, this can make whoever youre talking to feel superfluous and depreciated, in a sense. The contradiction is that Fi users are always ready to have a meaningful and harmonious discussion, but there is an implicit need for the object to "go its own moderate way", and anything deemed excessive, by the Fi user, will typically be "struck down with murderous coldness", as Jung puts it. So... I think this makes Fi users extremely difficult to "get along with" because they want harmony but are cursed, in a sense, to devalue and attach a negative judgement to whomever theyre interacting with, whether they express this exclusively to the other person or not.
    C.S Joseph made the point that all Fi users are silently judging you... its true.
    All-in-all, Jungs description of Fi isn't very flattering lol.

    I think it is true that there are more female Feelers than male ones. I think, though, that the percentages of male and females of certain types may vary. With regards to the ISFP, for example, those that I have encountered have seemingly been divided roughly evenly between the two genders. Now, it is possible that there are actually more female ISFPs than male ones as this has been based solely on my experience and I obviously haven't met all members of this type. My perspective is naturally going to be skewed simply by a combination of the social environments I happen to encounter as well as the inevitable mistypes that may occur as literally no one types everyone 100% perfectly.

    • @farrex0
      @farrex0 Před 3 lety +8

      Yes, although is more common on Fi doms, Ti doms can be convinced through appealing arguments. Fi on the other hand is harder to convince, specially not through peer pressure and or argumentation. In fact such things, specially when presented with apparent animosity or disregard for how you are feeling can only make your conviction stronger. But it might be easier if it comes from someone you value, but still no guarantee. Both Ti and Fi doms are introverted judging doms, so it all depends on the person.
      Although inferior functions can come into play, Ti doms can succumb to what people want just to keep the peace (Fe inferior), but Fi doms can succumb to what people want to accomplish something or a goal (Te inferior).

    • @lishayost144
      @lishayost144 Před 3 lety +6

      I always say Fi people never do anything they don't want to do. Somehow they get around it. INTP has Fe, so there is still going to be an element of wanting to please people, even though it's 4th slot... like all personality types, each intp is different, so you will have some that are able to completely disregard their Fe, or you have people like me who are hyper aware of other people's feelings. I've never been one to give into peer pressure though.

      @@darth_santos1137 Not everyone with Ti is good at math, at least, that's what I've heard some other INTPs. And an Fi person can be good at math. We don't always 100% fit the stereotype.
      I would say both Ti and Fi people don't give in to peer pressure as much as Fe and Te people. Ti and Fi is more about personal identity, rather than fitting in.
      I would say a big difference between Ti and Fi is when it comes to values and reasons. A Ti person will more easily be able to give you a reason why they like something whereas an Fi person could often be found saying, "I don't know, I just do." A Ti person will more often make decisions based on their reasoning, while an Fi person will make decisions based on their values. It will be harder for an Fi person to make a decision when it does not affect their values whatsoever. It will be harder for a Ti person to make a decision when the pros and cons and consequences of an action (or lack thereof) don't tip the scale strongly one way or the other. Of course, both have values and both use reasoning, but it's more about what seems to be the tipping factor.

    • @lishayost144
      @lishayost144 Před rokem

      @@darth_santos1137 I posted this comment in another video, but it might help a tad to know a bit more about the differences between Ti and Fi.
      For those who aren't sure which one you are, learn about the cognitive functions.
      INTP:
      Introverted Thinking
      Extraverted Intuition
      Introverted Sensing
      Extraverted Feeling
      INFP:
      Introverted Feeling
      Extraverted Intuition
      Introverted Sensing
      Extraverted thinking.
      INFPs and INTPs are similar in ways because the positions of their Ne and Si are the same.
      So the differences are in the Ti/Fe for INTPs and Fi/Te for INFPs.
      The reason you can oscillate between being a thinker and a feeler is because we all have a "thinking" function and a "feeling" function. Everyone has emotions and values. But INFPs are more in tune with their own emotions/values and INTPs are more affected by others' emotions/values (albeit awkwardly). INFPs form their logic and reason based on popular data from outside themselves (and this is not their strong suit, but it's also not impossible). INTPs tend to form their own subjective logical framework based on all the information they've obtained up to this point throughout their entire lives, along with their own personal experience and what makes the most sense to them based on all of that.
      Our thinking and feeling functions are just the things that determine our decision making process. Do you make decisions based on what seems to be most logical/rational to you (Ti/INTP), or do you make decisions based on your personal values (Fi/INFP)? Also take into account that an INTP has extraverted feeling, so that will play a part in the decision making process, caring about how their decision might affect others (but this will be secondary to what is logical to them, and if they make their decision based solely on how it might make others feel but going completely against what they think is rational, it will not feel like a good decision and it will feel like a part of them is dying inside).
      INFPs can also care about how their decisions might affect others, but that is only if one of their personal values is to care about how they affect others, which of course can often be the case... this is why it is so confusing. INFPs are probably trickier than INTPs because anyone can have any personal values. Someone with introverted feeling as their top function could have logic and rationality as one of their core values. But INFPs are much more likely to not do things they simply do not want to do.
      As an INTP, I barely know what my likes and values are, but for the things I do like/value, I can give reasons for all of them. From my experience with INFPs, they tend to have very strong values, but when you ask why they have those values, it is often very vague, or when you ask why they like something, often it is just something along the lines of, "I don't know, I just do." This is generally speaking.
      Just remember that just because you hate math and science, it doesn't mean you're not an INTP, and just because you like poetry/music, etc, it doesn't mean you're not an INTP. And vice versa. The personality types are based on how our brains work, which will play a role in what we like/dislike, but not 100%. Think about how your brain works. There is no "right" answer, and no cognitive function is better than another, just different. And no two people are exactly alike. You are you, no matter what your type is.
