Idk what I am anymore I’m imaginative and I enjoy daydreaming when I have nothing to do and think about my future me etc. but I’m also practical although I’d like to stay opened minded and I have stuff that I can geek out about and talk about on and on and on… I still like to slay practical and I dislike going down a rabbit hole of something that cannot happen, requires to much imagination (especially if I can’t imagine myself actually there in the sensory for a better image),and I very much dislike ppl who act very delulu .

Infps can often use a lot of Ti, but usually to better help them understand their Fi, and psychology, existential matters that are relevant to it.They will be much less interested in using/transferring it to other areas, probably often much less capable, certainly that's the case with me. This contrasts with high Ti users who will usually but not always be much more inclined to use it for matters outside the self, enjoy using it for developing and exploring their own logical frameworks, systems in other areas.

By the way I believe what you start talking about around 7min and refer to as essence I feel is exactly the discovery Jung made after travelling the world and studying people's dreams: the collective unconscious. That part is really fascinating.

As an INTP, I don't usually absorb the values of people around me. It depends on the value. If it makes sense then maybe I absorb it. If not then I don't. Most of the time, I don't. Basically Ti comes first.

INTJ, here. Te likes feedback, constructive criticism and overall the opinions of others. Te also helps with productivity, along side efficiency. Te likes achievements, accolades and reputation. Unhealthy Te can be domineering and controlling. It can also be critical of others, totally disregard empathy as well as others emotions. It doesn't care how it makes you feel. I'm not justifying toxic behavior nor condone it. A lot of people are unaware of their toxic behavior and don't self-reflect. If anyone is unhealthy, go get some help ie counseling, family involvement etc.

Hi Thank you for this video! I am a Heyoka INFJ. I am a person that has done extremely well living with other people. I have actually lived other countries with all the personality types that would involve as well as cultural and age. There is only one person I simply cannot live with. She is an ENTJ. She made my life miserable! I LOVE her to death! She is an amazing person! She was in charge of me and I would literally develop an eye twitch when I would live with her. I was trying to figure out whether she was an ESTJ or an ENTJ. The Ns are good at thinking outside the box. The problem is they don’t always use logic when they should and don’t see that. There was a time when I went were living with them. I was working in the kitchen. She was gone. I put a classical music station on. She came home. She was furious that I had put a classical music station on! That was the amount of control she needed to have. This one of tons of examples to this. I knew it wasn’t working out. She kept begging us to stay. The way she wanted it to stay was the way it had always been… me not be myself. I was a missionary. I have lived with tons of people. She is the only person I could not live with. She was extremely opinionated about things that, to me simply weren’t worth having an opinion of. I love her to death…but she was killing me. I am looking forward to heaven where things will be good with her being the I believe she could have been but she is blind to her faults… like the rest of us

What about avoidance of intimacy or closeness with people?I mean,as to me,i push or avoid people who try to get closer to me.Is overwhelms me.Let alone letting them in,if i sense intimacy of any sort then......I do it not because i dont want the relationship i just want the person to maintain his/her distance. The problem is the guilt that i feel for pushing a person who wants to spend his previous time with me. The other thing is the fact i take socialisation as a huge burden that drains my time and space.

But after your video I think I'm more intp because I'm bad at decision making and it takes me a long time to be 100% sure about something. I'm also uncertain about what values are important to me besides the very basic: don't harm others and be my aunthentic self. I don't have any big dreams and aspirations in life and when I was a child I didn't even have a dream career.

INFJinxed, I really enjoy your podcasts. I determined my best fit type years ago by using Linda V. Berens' temperament + interaction style process. Back to this particular podcast, thank you. I have been in a very dark place for the past 3 years after feeling compelled to step down as a director the second time in my career. Both times I did not seek the positions, but was asked to take over on an interim basis, and ended up accepting the jobs permanently. As an ISTP type, you hit the nail on the head of how Chart the Course types can be adversely affected for a long time when having to deal with roles requiring excessive and many times, unnecessary meetings. You're the best ma'am.

Here's some help (be honest): - Have you ever felt deep in yourself (maybe unconsciously) that you just don't deserve happiness? Like happiness is outside you and will never reach you? Then you may be a 4 - Have you ever felt deep in yourself (maybe unconsciously) that others are mean, even traitors, because they don't appreciate your favors or intentions? Then you may be a 2 Now, a VERY GOOD WAY to know for sure if you're a 4 or a 2: Look at your "healthy self". The healthy self of the 4 is 1. Most of the times, our healthy self scares us to death because is the shadows we need to fight that drive us to light. So, when we're scared, we may feel rage, or disgust, or other disagreeable feelings. I ask you: have you ever felt a lot of rage / anger / other uncomfortable feelings towards a person of the type 1? Then you are a 4. Maybe you hate 1's urge to accomplish other's expectations, or how easily they express themselves without overthinking their emotions. Now, type 2s become healthier when they practice some of the healthy traits of enneagram 4. Maybe you need to fight the shadows of codependency and reject, or the believe that others need you to be happy instead of accepting that everyone builds happiness on their own. But fighting shadows scares us to death, and we can start seeing 4s as selfish (a selfishness that 2s could use to balance excessive altruism), reactive and ungrateful. I ask you: have you ever felt a lot of rage / anger / other uncomfortable feelings towards a person of the type 4? Then you may be a 2.

  • @joanaborrellsanchez9225

As a 4, I had a crush with a 9. When he said he was confused about his feelings I screamed at him and I cried and he was super upset yet calm. Same happens when I fight with my sister, she acts extremelly collected while I'm losing my mind. So yes, reactive types expect reactions from others. And we can become upset if we don't get them. That doesn't mean they have to change, obviously. Love you all 🤎

As an INTP-A 8w9, lots of people think we don't exist but that's not true. Definitely Ne/Ti strong but also protective of people around me that I care about. Also very misunderstood as an INTP since I get confused as an ENTP and ENTJ because I'm passive aggressive but not a pushover either. So I can be one's best friend or their worst nightmare. Also definitely ambitious for leadership roles which isn't common for INTP's...

Hi. I wanted to leave a comment here because I thought it wise to offer a bit of a different outlook on things. Leadership and management are different. To manage means to control. There is a structure set in place which one needs to make sure is "followed", a procedure and set of steps to go through. Leaders need to have a vision first and foremost. And vision requires imaginative approach to things. From this, we can actually see how manager roles and leaderships ones (although used in conversations interchangeable) require different set of internal characteristics that are tied to different cognitive functions.

I tested as both INFJ and INTJ and still confused. I feel people, sensitive and emotional. I go out of my way to do things for others ~such a giver, at times get abused for being such, empathize and careful what people think of me -my image and avoid confrontation. Gullible -I don’t trust but gives benefit of the doubt. l love Psychology just because I can read other people’s minds, intentions and how it works- to my advantage. BUT I’m distant. I’m not a good listener. I get drained with people’s presence. Business minded, goal and future oriented. Sapiosexual. I’d rather be my own company. I’m too stubborn to have things my way. Too FIXED once I decide. Follow my brain. I’m inflexible in most of the things. Extremely perfectionist/OC .Organized. Prepare way ahead. I am too detailed with what I want and will do things to materialize it to the point it’s annoying. I try hard to get what I want. IDFK being alone in public, having a meal, going to places etc, that it comes out weird. I’m systematic, logical~ I can formulate find ways to create, and simplify things to be efficient, cold and (secretive my dark side-I don’t follow tradition, break values/rules for my benefit). The “brain” and leads but without having to interact with people. They say I’m too independent and an Alpha. I also think this way. I’m cold to people most of the time, alone time most is a MUST and silence the outside world. I love quiet places alone. I’m too focused everytime I work like no other people exist at the moment. I rarely reach out FIRST. Have too high boundaries. Sometimes, don’t care about people. Not updated with other people’s lives nor feel the need to get them updated to mine. And lastly, I’d admit I try my best to be nice because I know I’m NOT LIKABLE . I’m both and been confused. It’s contradicting. I possess both .HELP!!!!😭😭😭

I'm an INTP -A/T (I'm really beetween them) and I THINK I'm wing 6w5, but often I switch beetween 5w6, 7w6, 9w8. What's funny too, is that spirituality is in my top 5 strengths who's are 1. Honesty, 2. spirituality, 3. creativity, 4. fairness and finally 5. perspective. INTP's are not that spiritual. I'm a really logical INTP, I do not want to waste time on emotions, but my NE is present, so in difficult situations, I have a bit of empathy for my friend, I'm a really direct and honest person, I always give my sincere opinion in an atractive way. I like daydreaming, drawing, books, music, nature but I also like a lot for action, challenges, science, biology, physics, psychology, conspiracy theories, dark jokes, animes, politics etc.. That's why I often prefer being alone and I'm easily tired around people. I am a lot bored, and want to turn my life more interesting, but at the same time, I'm also a really cautious and secure person, and I'm often lazy and I procrastinate a lot. In a lot of subjects, I don't like working without knowing more about it, I always ask why things are the way they are. I always visualise things in various perspectives. But, I have fundamentals too, and with that, I know too if it's right or not (that can be religious too). I relate with ENTP, INTJ, INFJ and a little bit with ISTP. I gave just a lot of informations because I wanted to know if someone more expert can give me some clearups, or knows what I could have of type of eneagram. I know, I have a lot lol Can someone help me? It's just curiosity

I used to test into infj, which I always questioned, but people have always confided in me, and I did have some interest in psychology at one point. Sometimes I tested into intj which really didn't seem right. But I found out INTP fits me crazy accurately. Everything you said is spot on for how my brain is wired. It's not so much always a science or tech thing that peaks my interest, although I have a degree in physics, sometimes it's music, health, food, construction, or politics and philosophy. But what I research to death one week may be something else next week. I've tried to explain for years when I realized it's not normal, my brain is thinking and analyzing constantly. Even if I'm in a conversation or working on sometime in front of me it's hard for me to focus in the moment. When I'm not thinking or analyzing, I'm playing or creating music in my head. I use external stimuli to try and quiet my brain down although I don't think it works well. Focusing on the external world is exhausting.
