      This! 💯 Your international vacation zone for your "exotic" getaway is a country and society with its own rules and customs. Pick up a book and DO YOUR RESEARCH, pack carefully, and act like you have some sense when you go to visit these places. ESPECIALLY when you have a family.

    Accidentally leaving ammo in your luggage after a hunting trip is extremely careless especially when you have children, then not checking before packing for an overseas trip is even more careless. I really don’t have much sympathy for him.

    This is disgusting! This family has a go fund me that is already at $205K. They live in a $1 million dollar home on 30+ acres. If you break the law, you pay the price. If you are travelling to another country it is extremely important to know the laws. If the photo on the go fund me was of a "less fortunate" family or any nationality other that white....... it wouldn't get this much attention. We have children dying and people losing everything and we keep feeding the rich.

His mistake was using his hunting/range bag for a vacation and not searching it thoroughly first. Also keeping guns and ammo in the same case is not a good idea

    How do you accidentally pack ammunition? His regrets are about not being able to see his kids grow up. He doesn't verbally recognize his wrongdoing & how it threatens the safety & well-being of another country. So American & so self-centered. If we had someone from another country come for vacation with bullets, we'd be just as concerned. I have no sympathy for them.
    & I don't want to make this a race thing. But if minorities did something similar here in America, people would be freaking out calling it a terrorist attempt & it'd probably be exploited politically to scare U.S. citizens. These laws exist for a reason.

      I mean the Brittany Griner incident is clear evidence of the duality of USA opinions compared to this incident. Both were wrong and both got caught and both have to face (or did face) the consequences of their actions by each individual country. Agree or not with their laws, they are THEIR laws. In saying that, Russia used the opportunity to politicise it, because they’re corrupt AF, by giving her a 9 year sentence for an offence that ordinarily carries 15 days.

Each of those 'responsible' gun owners were allowed to continue on their travels.     I am 100% sure each time I board a flight my bags are clear of anything illegal or not authorized to be in my bag. How do I know, because I am an adult man who is responsible. I would never make a careless stupid decision like this. This man’s life and his family’s life could be ruined because of a dumb decision he made. The real world has consequences.
