- We are back in Malaysia! Follow our journey of a British Filipino couple exploring Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for the first time in 2023. Today we decided to head to Petaling Street and Jalan Alor for some Malaysian street food. Malaysia is such a diverse country they have multiple food influences leaving your tastebuds craving more. One of the many reasons we wanted to come back to Malaysia was for the street food. We also tried the famous Ramly Burger again and it did not disappoint.

The roti tisu it comes with condensed milk so it's very delicious and very sweet and crispy .
Was definitely not what we were expecting but loved it anyway 😋
😂generally the food and dessert here in Malaysia you just have to mix first before consuming

Claypot chicken rice is legendary, the bottom, there is salted fish for added umami. It is cooked in claypot to keep its tempreture consistent. If you have a cold, it transfers heat into your body to fight the flu

Yea in Malaysia the food is served directly from the utensils that they are cooked in so when it gets to your table you have to mix it. Its not legit rambly burger if its not sloppy and messy when you eat it. You're not the only couple who had to come back to Malaysia just for the burger. Roti tissue is meant to be eaten as dessert. Usually the condensed milk will be drizzled over the roti but its good that they deserve the milk on the side.
Hehehe there’s lots of reasons we wanted to come back but food was a big part, we just had so much more to try 😋 we’ve got some exciting videos from other parts of Malaysia coming up we can’t wait to show you 😍🤩 hehehe yes we thought the roti tissue was savoury but it was a nice surprise and yes we heard the messy the better with RAMLY 😉😂

Best if we order cheese nan with tandoori chicken, tear the chicken and naan little bit and put the chicken in between the naan and eat.

Don't forget to try banana leaf rice at Bangsar or Brickfield, Malay rice and lauk at Sambal Ijau, Ikan Bakar (grilled fish) at Jalan Bellamy, Sate Kajang, Ayam Percik (Grilled Chicken with creamy coconut and lemongrass sauce), Putu bamboo (rice cake dessert with palm sugar), Luo Han Guo (a refreshing drink, Petaling street or jalan alor should easily have this), Fried Tang Hoon, Keropok Lekor, fried cempedak (jackfruit), and ABC, Cendol, and many more.

I don't know where the experience burger maker is nowadays... many time I watch youtube with Ramly burger, many of them always failed to wrap the patty with egg properly. I did Ramly burger years ago and there is a technique to make it easy to fold and wrap it nicely without breaking the egg or left any of the patty exposed.

this claypot rice is quite famous in petaling street & also the peanut pancake both are famous stalls there alot international foodies have tried them both you guys are so lucky get to eat it

Duck skin is the best part. The green sauce in that naan is a mint sauce.
