One of our customers during a king fish tournament set up at the back of the pack during tournament start. Their vessel is a Fountain 38 center console powered by triple Mercury Verado 350 engines. This provides a optimum viewing angle to slowly make their way through the pack of hundreds of boats. Boats shown in the video include Invincible 36, Freeman 42, Yellowfin 36, Yellowfin 39, and more!

Any tuning or performance upgrades for mercury verado 275’s?
How fast is he running ?
Around 72-73mph! This is almost 400 gallons of gas, ice, bait, fuel, and every livewell filled. You can tell when the boat goes to get on plane it was sluggish!
Also had 3 - 55 gallon drums on the deck. Hit 79-80 on the way back
How reliable are "your" (souped-up) Verado 350/400/400R's - I mean compare to a clean 450R.
Are the L6 more tough, handles more beating, less things that can go wrong?
Should I go for a "adjusted" Verado 400/400R or a 450R?
What's your opinion. O.o ... ;o)
I would go with a 450R due to the fact there is not any software tuning options for the L5 350/400 engines anymore. Both engines are incredibly reliable and will provide great fun/performance.
