Absolutely love watching your vids, keep up the good work and thanks
Just found you, Jeremy, love your message, and your video content and quality is superb. Very new player at age 52, and so happy I found guitar. Practicing hard while I save up to upgrade from my Epiphone Pro-1 I found “in the wild”. Looking forward to your 2021 vids. Stay safe out there.
wow. I want to buy that guitar, too! Having a good luthier that you can trust and guitar friends is really good. Thanks for the vid.
The quality of your videos is outstanding! Keep it up man!
J45 Vintage was one of the best guitars I've ever played. Still remember it in the shop, would have bought it if I hadn't bought a D28 a few weeks prior. The difference between a standard and a vintage is astonishing.
Great stuff! I have a 2019 and I am scared half the time to play it, but I am getting better about that... I wouldnt have opened it either in 40 degree weather. You are brave!
It wasn't a banner guitar but I had the opportunity to play a J45 from 1946. WOW WHAT A GUITAR!!!!!!!! And the neck was HUGE!
I was kinda hoping that one was gonna be for sale on your website too ! Probably a good thing it’s sold already.
Cool guitar man. Congratulations
Awesome video. This may be my next guitar to hunt for.
thanks man enjoyed that post
J45 is always good. Love the tone!
So cool how your channel has blossomed. Good man.
Thanks, Pauline. I hope it's my gig for years to come!
Looks like 2000 new followers in the last week.
The burgers at DPO are exceptional!! Hello from Los Angeles.
Had a j45, had to sell. I’ll get another though when all this madness ends. Love them
Mac Demarco uses one of these in the music video for “One Another”
That is what a lot of manufacturers are doing with these vintage guitars. They look right but they have a very new feel for playability. Like you said, that is what people want.
I have never been a fan of sunburst finishes but they are growing on me, especially when they leave the back and sides as wood grain. I love to see the grain! I recently watched another video that described the difference between slope shoulders such as the J-45 and square shoulders, such as the D-18. Is there that much difference? I also lead worship, but am not sure it would make that much difference.
The best acoustic guitar! The J45 Is the most incredible of the acoustic guitar. I have one J45 and I love too much It. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have a 2019 too and pretty OCD about temperature and more so humidity.
I love a J45.
Dream guitar
How far are you from Lynchburg? The company I work for is based there. Once the world sorts itself out, I imagine I will travel there again once a year. I love the are up there.
Thanks Jeremy, love the guitar (and the channel). Mark Agnesi once that as an American birth right, everyone should have J-45. I have 2.
Sounds great! Congrats to Gabe the new owner. I mentioned this on your live stream last week, I was really hoping to buy it from you and was waiting for you to announce when it was officially up for sale. 😁 But it sounds like it's going to a really great home so congrats again!! I'm still on the search for a Southern Jumbo... So if anyone has one up for grabs... (Preferably a newer SJ) 🤘
Have you ever played a J-45 custom with rosewood back and sides? would be keen to hear your thoughts?
I want a J 45 so badly. I play at my church as well. I have a Taylor 2016 814cesb that I use and love but I want a J 45 badly. I’m right down the road from you btw in Pulaski Virginia. Maybe not right down the road but not to far. I really enjoy your channel. Have you been to Fret Mill or Kelly’s Music in Roanoke? Great shops! If you are ever down this way check them out.
Save up and you can find one. I've been to Claytor Lake hundreds of times!
Start setting money aside and get one. Short of a boutique version, there's really nothing like that slope shoulder, spruce over mahogany sound. I do not think that you'll like the stock pickup though if you plug into an AMP or FoH. They're really much better through a mic. I swapped mine for a Baggs Lyric and that seems to be a decent workaround.
My 68 reissue with adjustable bridge has the baseball bat neck and i love it much easier for me to play than my hummingbird or dove
Nice. If you get a good sounding J45 it's not sounding like a Martin D-18. I have a great J-45. I also have a D-28 but they sound different and are used with different songs.
The necks are a Slim Taper, same profile on a J45 Standard
They are horrible necks, just as bad a the Martin MLO profile.
@@keithhunter3910 I honestly don’t get why a good amount of acoustic guitars are so thin. I’m glad that the Origional J45’s this year have some substance to them.
The Slim taper just doesn’t feel like it belongs on a J45. Same as the Martin MLO
@@andrewhumphrey1047 It seems to be the trend, doesn't it? I don't know that Martin is building dreadnought with a ModV neck outside of the Authentics, these days. At least Gibson is offering all their models with various necks at various series.
@@keithhunter3910 not in the standard builds. You can order it with one for no charge through a dealer I think. Gibson is the same way. You can order any guitar from Gibby with either a Slim Taper, Round or Advanced Response shape with a 12'' or 16'' radius. THe Advanced response neck is very nice
@@andrewhumphrey1047 With Martin, any spec changes mac it a custom build. Anything through through Custom Shop is going to cost $$$. I am not sure about the Gibson CS. I have a 2017 Gibson J35 Vintage Collector's Edition that has a 1.77" nut and a very full carve, which they call "Round", but it is much deeper than the Standard Series "Round" profiles.
How does this differ from a boutique builder like Boucher or collings???
czcams.com/video/IhrJtROH3tg/video.html
Check Jeremy's video out that discusses exactly that question!
Hopefully your saddle was still adequate if you got a set up with the nut.
I know Gibson bridges are thick, but who wants to shave a bridge down on an expensive guitar and gamble with it's value?
Hi Jeremy, Is the guitar buying guide digital or in print? Thanks!
Digital.
@@JeremySheppard Thanks! I'll put it on my wish list. Great Videos.
What strings are on it? Gauge?
D'Addario EXP16's

The top is Adirondack Spruce, isn't it?🤔
Red spruce = adirondack. Different names, same material.
It was so🤷♂️😊
Gibson has different sounds even with the same model, but how was it?
