- I've learned a lot about addiction over the past 14 years of dealing with my son and I know this is a very true statement...Desperate addicts do desperate things no matter who it hurts or harms. This is happening on a daily basis and unfortunately their children are usually the ones who pay the ultimate price for their selfishness. Sometimes they pay for it with their lives, at no fault of their own. To me, this is unacceptable. The weight of these adult decisions should NEVER be placed on the shoulders of these children. We need to do better by these kids and protect them at all costs.

Fentanyl was found in my grandson’s umbilical cord, they took the baby away right away and meth. She should be in jail, my daughter.

You are absolutely correct! That baby should never have been given to the parents! In fact she should have been charged with child endangerment right then and there!
Why does the justice system continue to let the parents continue to have the children and not put the adict somewhere where they can get help before such catastrophes happen!
You can put an addict somewhere that they are able to get help, but if they are no ready for the help, it won’t change anything. Courts mandate addicts to all kinds of rehab places like ASAP, but 99% of the time the only thing these mandated help situations are doing is providing money for the state and local cities. My ex husband was sent to rehab numerous times by the court system over the 10 years we were married and he was coming down from a weekend of smoking crack the day I put him on a bus to Indiana to stay with his mom. And this was less than 3 months after coming home from a 2 year stay in the state penitentiary where he received extensive “help” and “ treatment” for his crack and alcohol addiction. You can help and spend thousands trying to get them sober, but until they decide they want to be sober, it is wasted time and money.
A baby born with Meth is considered neglect on the mothers part. That is an automatic CPS referral. Someone at that hospital has some answering to do.

An 8 month old baby doesn’t just ‘go missing’!! It’s not like they can just get up and walk!! This is a horrendous situation.

They found her remains today, concealed under a bunch of debris in one of the grandparents houses

I have so much respect for grandparents that fight for their grandkids when parents are irresponsable. Most grandparents out there only come out when the child is already dead but they won't be bother to make an effort to help before its too late. God bless you❤

It saddens me to report that our local news reported about a half hour ago that the remains of this baby was found inside the home. The police officer they interviewed said the house was filthy and dangerous for officers to sift through which is why it’s taken so long to find her. This is devastating to think what this baby went through and it will be interesting to see exactly how long ago this happened. Keep this babies siblings in your thoughts and prayers that the system does not fail them like they did this baby.

Dss or dfs or whoever it is there should have removed that baby in the hospital. It's so sad when the parents fail these innocent little ones but it really ticks me off when someone who had the power to prevent this from happening knew that baby would be in a bad situation and they didn't do their job. They need to do Urine and meconium(first stool) toxicology screen too. It comes back faster! Cord takes longer so baby may have gone home pending cord results

Hello, Missy. My name is Timber, and I'm an alcoholic. I will be celebrating four years sober on July 9, this year. I saw the video you did a month ago, when your son took xanax before a family outing. I am responding to that here because I want you to see it. I see so MUCH of my own mom in you, your fear for your son's life, the aggravation at having to deal with him in his addiction. My mom took every single chance she could to beg me to get help for YEARS. My response, back then, was to steal money from her purse to go buy more vodka. I stole from my own mother. Addiction makes people do things like that. You can't trust an addict to do ANYTHING. At that time in my life, I simply did not care. But my mom did. When that final day arrived and I was so sick and scared, and I made that phone call to ask for a ride to rehab, she made a 20-minute drive in 10 minutes flat. I had just given up on life, and I kept telling her how sorry I was, because I actually thought I would die in rehab. That was 4 years ago. Life has returned with a big ole grin on its face. I'm telling you all of this so you can know that THERE IS HOPE. ❤🩹

This is a top story where I live. It’s about an hour from where I live and is actually the county where my dad was raised and some of his siblings still live. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. I said when the story first broke that baby privavkt didn’t have a fighting chance because it’s supposed to be 8months old and the only photo they had was a newborn picture. Then it was released the grandparents were a arrested so it’s obviously generational addiction. And then when it was released they had 3 previous children removed and this baby was born with meth in the umbilical cord, it angers me so much that child was ever sent home from the hospital with them. It burns me up that children are treated like property in the eyes of the court and they have limited rights regardless of how crappy their parents are. I’m glad that someone finally came forward she was missing but I think it probably should have been fine alit sooner it makes me wonder just how screwed up is this entire family that three kids are in state custody and one is missing. Not one person in that family has those kids back and that is what makes this so heartbreaking. The tristate is praying she is found alive but as days pass it seems more and more unlikely. I feel like if the parents don’t wanna talk then hang them by their tongues til they are ready. I have no mercy fir anybody who grabs a child. None at all!

@@FromtheHoller I knew the grandparents were arrested but didn’t realize they had custody of the 3 that had been taken iutvif the house. Child protective services certainly dropped the ball on all these children. They arrested another man yesterday that lived in the home with the parents the past six months and was doing drug deaks through the USPS. It’s an incredibly sad situation on so many levels.
That poor baby girl. I pray she is okay somewhere. God bless her little soul. I agree with the idea that the baby should never go home with the addicted parents, especially if the baby is born with the drugs in their system. If somebody will expose their baby when they’re pregnant what the heck makes these child protective agencies think the addict parents with be able to put the baby first after its born? Crazy. You and I both know that they will do anything to feed that addiction. Terrible this hospital gave her that baby. Even though my daughter came home to us with her babies, there was no way she was capable of taking care of them without supervision 24/7.
In this case, with the other 3 having been removed, this baby should've been taken immediately. Your daughter was very lucky to have y'all help her 💜
When they are on Meth, they sometimes dont know what they are doing! The drug takes over. When thry go off of the drug, they may sleep for 3 or more days. I know this because my son and his girlfriend were like that. My husband and i finally ended up taking the children into our home. It was sickning what the children go thru.

Especially having meth in the umbilical cord...NEVER should've let that baby leave the hospital!!! Im so freaking mad ... I think unfortunately the baby is either d**d or sold. Im from a very small southeastern KY town. About 20 years ago, a guy I knew who graduated with my brother was on meth. I didn't know all that, but before, he was the kindest most normal person ever and seemed to love his kids. He and his wife had a baby and eventually broke up. He got messed up and ended up unaliving the baby. There was said to be visible belt buckle indents all over the poor thing. 😢😢😢 Our community was in complete shock. He ended up getting 20 years and I think served around 10. It's unbelievable what this stuff does to people's minds.

How heartbreaking. Where I live in upstate NY, recently a 5 year old girl with druggies for "parents" was found dead from starvation and her 3 year old brother had meth in his system. In another case, an 8 month old infant (mother a druggie) was reported missing by the mother and found at the bottom of a water-filled shaft in an abandoned warehouse, dead from hypothermia. I'm afraid the little one in your case has probably met the same sort of fate. You are correct, Missy, we have to stop failing these innocent children.

I have one for you...a brother in law of my bestie...once could not find any $..for pills...so her daughter had strep throat..she had phenergan suppositories..the brother in law stole the child's suppositories to get a little buzz...sick..

Hi Missy! I wonder "Don't they have polygraphs in Kentucky?" Maybe they could get these two along with the grandparents to take one and ask questions about the whereabouts of this baby. Speaking of "grandparents" I thought they were supposed to be the ones who cared for their grandchildren if the parents flipped out or needed help. I see this often. There are several couples in our Church who have eventually adopted foster children and also some are raising their grand children. I was able to find some information about this case on youtube, and unfortunately a trooper etc. said that the cadaver hit on a certain area that warranted a more focused search 😥 Are the other 3 children in foster care now? Thank you for the update! ☺
The 3 other children were in the custody of the other grandparents until they were arrested, too. Now those 3 have been taken and placed somewhere else

In Arizona and neveda if ur in the system there’s no way even different dads years later ur flagged that u have child services problems they know from ur name social date of birth etc who u are sbd child services r called someone has to come for that baby n be responsible for baby . Even if the dad is going take it he has to be clean and place for then baby to go car seat etc

It's not banned nationwide. It's still legal in several states and it's allowed to go across state lines to get it. I don't know where you got your information but it's not true and we're not going to do this.

DCF is f’d up. They screwed our family after 2 yrs giving my granddaughter back into her drug/verbal/physical abusive home. Sending both my adult daughters that did everything they could do to therapy to try to understand wtf just happened. How could they do this? How can we accept this? What can we do? My family is broken now. No more full family activities where we all gather for a meal, a party, or celebration of any kind. Who is suffering the most? My granddaughter.🥲 nothings changed.
