    Just discovered Onewind products 1 hour ago and am completely mesmerized with their offer in terms of price and quality, mainly on these bottom entry hammocks and underquilts. Also great accessories. I'm in Portugal and definitely gonna order some stuff. Thanks for the video

    After trying the Snugpak jungle hammock, an Amazon 11ft extra wide Mallowme, and additional research I acquired the Onewind 12ft double wide. Loved it so much I bought a second - one just for the yard, the other in my rucksack for camping/b.o.b. I'm 5' 8" and I get a perfect diagonal flat lay, and an equally comfortable side lay. Unless you are always going to use the same exact two trees, it's going to take longer to make the various adjustments to get your perfect hang. But once you do (especially the ridgeline). I love my French Army surplus F2 tent, but no way will it fit in my pack. The Onewind, underquilt, blanket, and 10x13 tarp all fit in/on my rucksack. I still have to treat both with permethrin.

    Good stuff, Jamie. I've got the hammock, and just put in my order for the full underquilt. Glad to see your reviews - they're giving me peace of mind that I've made a good decision. Thanks for sharing this content! :)

    I had a war bonnet hammock that had a similar strapping system. Instead of reattaching the strap to the buckle every time, set up a carbineer at the loop end of the strap that will secure the strap to the tree. When doing this set up you never have to thread the strap through the buckle again. Also, the bishop sack is handy but sometimes frustrating to stuf the hammock into. I use snake skins where all you have to do is slide one end of the snake skin to the center and do the same for the other side. I can say with confidence that ever since I got into hammocks none, and I mean none literally, of my hammocks have ever touched the ground. Great video!

      I use carabiners as well. Onewind has a stuff sack the holds my hammock with the Underquilt attached. The carabiners are the way to go.

    Am considering this hammock.At 6'1 1/4" at 180. Looking for a flat lay. Hammock seems to be straight forward.
    What is your opinion of the quilt system ?

    • @BurningRiverBushcraft
      @BurningRiverBushcraft  Před 2 lety

      I when for years without an Underquilt. I wish I would have got one sooner. The Onewind Quilt is affordable and versatile. I would definitely suggest you get one. Get the system as you can afford it, but I would get the whole system.

    • @BurningRiverBushcraft
      @BurningRiverBushcraft  Před 2 lety

      You would have to use shock cord to tie it out. It doesn't matter that much with this design.

    What model exactly is this Sir, is it the 11" Zipper hammock or the 1.7oz Single hammock, which one is it and could you provide a link to the actual product, not just their website link but, the link to this very model on their website. I need a model that packs the bugnet into that sack hanging from the ridgeline just like that, but I can't seem to find one, smh.

      @@BurningRiverBushcraft So, if it's not the Single then does it mean it's for 2 people or what? and how is the fit? I saw a review where someone said it's too roomy and that it has excessive material flapping on the sides like you get in double hammocks, was that your experience?
