- When you begin playing Dead By Daylight the choice of Killers can be overwhelming and also confusing. Many of you will ask yourself "which Killer should I level first?" so i decided to create this video of Top 5 Killers to level up FIRST in DBD, With added tips!

It just saddens me to see that everyone underestimates the legion when in fact he's one of the few killers who can pressure a swf team with ease and can control the game with his power alone. Fun fact, I just played today against a swf team and one of them had the name LEGION = LEAVE which had me laughing for a second not gonna lie.
I love them, legion are my mains and will be forever, rarely lose matches with them .

I've had the game less than a week and every single match has rank 1's in, I'm still new and trying to figure out what killers I like and barely unlocking perks.
Gotta love getting gen rushed by rank 1s with maxed perks and rare gear, going clicky clicky torch with constant t-bagging while I've barely got anything unlocked. Nice to know the matchmaking is 100% functional. It's kinda depressing how toxic this game is.

Sorry to hear the matchmaking has been unfair, one thing that iâve found that helped me is that usually youâll have a player on a team which i call âthe runnerâ whoâs perks are dedicated to chases, usually has a flashlight and wants you to chase them because they know good looping spots, are more comfortable in chases while their team mates dedicate to gens, i would recommend usually not going for that player first and instead go for the people on gens which you can then catch âthe runnerâ out of position.
@@Wolfski Yeah, honestly I caught on to the types of players pretty quickly. I'm a little better off than I was as when I spot a runner I just ignore them and try to murder their friends. I'll give them a slap if they get too close, but for the most part if they aren't doing gens they're not a priority. ;D
I still wish the matchmaking was better as this game is not friendly towards newer players, but I'm going to keep at it, DbD can be fun when it's not a constant snowball. :U

My tips for handeling toxic survivors as a killer main (i play ghostface who is pretty vulnerable to toxic behaviour)
1 as soon as you get to rank 12 or something, it will get better. People in low rank are so Good and toxic cuz they rank down on purpose to be horrible to people (believe me, dbd is a Good game but the players are garbage)
2 do not disconnect, you will get a penalty and it is exactly what the survivors want
3 be toxic back, one of the reasons if LOVE ghostface is that you can T bag them back and no matter what people say, donât be affraid to tunnel and camp. But only do that when they are toxic because itâs not fun to play against a camping or tunneling killer

I recommend Cannibal (unlock bbq) -> Legion (best character to get blood points)-> level up nurse to get Nurses calling then level up all characters to 40 -> play any character that fits your play style.

I can confirm legion gets points in multiple categories for using his ability. Its easier to max out bp caps with him
Doctor and legion are such a deadly duo. I nearly always get a 4k with doctor and with legion PLUS the amount of blood points you can get from them is incredible!
I just start playing yesterday and so far I find your guides the best! The game has a lot of information and you go through it fast but also in a way I can actually keep up. So thanks for having these guides out here so its possible to be somewhat informed going into the game!
Also plague has really good perks like corrupt and infectious, I recommend plague.
The hill billy is hard to use on mobile, sadly he was my main on console.

My list (based on their perks and power) :
1: Leatherface
2: Clown
3: Plauge
4: Hag (based on perks only because she has an advanced power)
5: Legion (discordance is so good)

Remember any killer can be used and used well. I do agree that you should play these killers or at least level them up as perks like Endering and Brutal Strength are really good yet basic perks. But play what you feel good with and don't forget to play both killer and survivor. The best way to take down your enemy is knowing their every move.
Bubba is so good because bbq means twice the speed of leveling up your killers

only played hillbilly a few times feel to limited playing him. I just got the game finally lol thanks to steam and only two games I have payed as huntress so far were 4 kill games xD this was helpful though thanks keep it up! Got a new sub
Honestly, Iâm not fond of the hillbilly so I donât know if I agree but Iâll try him with the specific add ons Wolf mentioned. I also should mention Iâm playing on the switch and the frame rate is shit (and Iâm a very new gamer), so turning and aiming perfectly is insanely difficult for me.

My first DLC character was the leigon and then ghost face, honestly though you forgot doctor!!! You get instant 4 mana anywhere between lvl1-Lvl20 and he's a point whore so all you have to do is chase survivors make them go crazy then kill them off with just the hooks no mories and boom 84,450-141,567 blood points will be rewarded!

It blows my mind that people play Survivor as their main because to me Killer is just a million times more fun but at the same time I will gladly take it because it means balanced queue times!

My list of top 5
The pig (because it easy to use )
The ghost face (its a little bit hard)
The shape (it power waste so much time )
The nurse (it much harder)
The spirit ( its harder to)
The doctor
The legion (it power and perk are good but you can more from spirit or nurse
The bubba
The plague (it pretty much easy )
The hag
Why I did not put trapper because he waste so much time and no one shot or
teleport like hag
Huntress is a good start, throwing hatchet makes it a little easier to get hits on survivors & one you get lullaby stacks it can slow down their generator progression & give you alerts
Also, huntress is free on console

My first killer what i pick is ghost face next is legion and i think they are very good killers
well the tip for the spirit to stand in front of palets bc they will think that you are phase walking is useful but not against people that are below rank 10 like 8 or 6 because when she is phase walking there is a little white line under your perk that indicates you that she is phase walking

I played survivor mainly for like a year. Then picked up trapper first. Got hex:ruin from the shrine on the same day. I was quite pleased and surprised when my level 2 bloodweb gave my trapper hex:ruin (and surge at my level 5 bloodweb)
I personally play ghost face because he is my fav killer of all the licenced character and i love stalking killers im rank 4 on console and i would recommend him as he is fun and paired with perks like sloppy butcher and whispers sirvivors are easy to locate and slow down gen prrogression if wanting to heal
But hes very diffiucult to play and suffers

Imo wraith is far better than hillbilly now after wraiths buff and the cooldown to billy's saw
wraiths invis and speed boost while uncloaking is incredibly likely to just get you a free hit with not much skill required up until maybe lower red ranks, he also has decent map coverage with his cloak speed being quite good, if you abuse his "free hits" you can get alot of quick downs and hooks
The most broken killer is freddy becasuse he can put you in a dream everytime he wants he is so small with camouflage he has broken hitbox and broken perks
I think that the trapper should be changed with the Hag because the hag has a better perk sort of like the trapper
Good comment! The reason I wouldnât switch that is because hag is another DLC character, Although she is a great killer! Especially towards newer players, The major problem here is that her perks are only Hexes and thatâs a really risky build if you was to level her first.

Id say plague solely because corrupt intervention. It's arguably the best perk in the game and it just gives you so much time early game. Unfortunately, plague isn't a good killer by any means. And corrupt intervention was in the in game store recently (it might still be) in the shrine of secrets as a teachable perk that you can buy. I'm new and I don't want to suffer through trying to play a sub par killer so I just bought it

Ngl Bot long before I watch this video I bought my first killer which was legion, an Iâm on mobile so the character selections are different as well as the prices so I had to think hard and study each one. Now I can say that I agree with what you are saying here, this is being said from a console perspective, however on mobile things are way different, this is why I chose legion. Many players on ovule tend to like to stick together in pairs or in triples making it slightly easier to take them on with legions power. Yet even if they separate I find legion still be viable. Especially when you catch a survivor and hook them, then it becomes a fun game of who will you go sicko mode on, cuz what I do is wait for them to unhook them then go frenzy mode which many survivors donât see coming

I mean will this is a great list, I think a lot of people will really only stick to Bubba for starters. Nurse and spirit are incredible but have an enormous skill gap so unless you plan on maining them I wouldn't put in to much effort. Personally I began to main w ghostface and Oni. Both of whom have decent teachables, nothing super meta but still good nonetheless especially ghostface when using right addons

There isnât a right or wrong answer for this but in my opinion, spirit is definitely in the top 4 best killers
Spirit fury and enduring is a great combo get them all 3 and you will easy get the spirit

Level the doctor as early as you can. Even if you dont to main him. Use him for bloodpoint grinding

i honestly feel bad when i play spirit because there's not a lot of counterplay for the survivors and I personally hate to verse spirits myself, I just think they should make the haunting sound effect be everywhere no matter how close and it would be actually enjoyable?

Freddy is a better killer tbh he is nearly as good as Nurse and Spirit but he is way easier to use just teleporting to gens better choice than the ones on the list.

Last I was playing the game, the Trapper was considered very underpowered and low-tier, even if he was somewhat easy to learn to play compared to the other killers. Has this changed in the last year or so?
He is still pretty low tier unless you add add-ons but again still quite low
