Interesting piece. Good review. You can use hand sanitiser (alcohol gel) to separate the two stickers. Rub it on with your finger tip and leave it to soak in for an hour. The alcohol will melt the adhesive on the underside. The top sticker will peel off easily then. Keep up the good work. Regards.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR If you don't have hand sanitiser you can use WD40. I used to peel off postage stamps and glue them back on with Pritt Stick to save money. Hand sanitiser works better as the alcohol evaporates off. If using WD40 one needs talc after to dry it off.

I was thinking of buying one of these, you know I don't mind an homage, but I'll have to agree with Miguel on this one, at this price point I would rather go with something else... Not that there is anything wrong with the watch, it really does have great specs for the money.

Addies was an earlier attempt at branding by the Guangzhou Qiin OEM before they founded 'Steeldive'.
Hence, why they have mostly older models in stock.

I was waiting for this video as soon as you mentioned the crown issue previously. I have the same watch, same issue from the same seller.

I don't have the San Martin one. But out of the Steeldive and Heimdallr and say the Heimdallr is better.

With the steeldive you know have to be carefully on Ali. Some of them come now with Addis printed on the dial instead of steeldive. Saw that on the willard homages.

Addies and Steeldive are absolutely the same.They come from the same factory.Both very good value.
Got one coming rubber strap that I'll swap out for nylon 22mm nato. Would only ever buy from steel dive company or their local seller in south Australia. Regards

I bought this watch a week ago and I’m very pleased with it so far , it keeps time very well but the dial or maybe it’s the glass gives it a blue colour in certain light oh and I ditched the bracelet and put a better quality one on
The slight blue ting is AR coating.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR nothing apart from red text on the dial more akin to the skx. I meant both versions are stunning, no real difference between the two. I just like the aesthetic of the red 200m diver text.
Ah ok. I thought they might have changed a few bits. Does yours have the crown issue like on mine?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I would say it is not the easiest crown to screw back in but not as bad as your issue. I also noticed v2 has the framed date window.
Well it's good they've sorted that then.
If that is a genuine NH35 movment you could change the dial and hands as plenty of makers do dials and hands for Seiko movments
Will the lume last for whole night?
Do you know if this will fit any of the aftermarket bracelets for the skx. Will the Strapcode super jubilee fit this etc?

You know I was actually JUST about to pull the trigger on this one then because of a lack of any solid reviews whatsoever I bought a vostok amphibia 710059😅. Even ordered a different bracelet and bezel I'll let you know how it goes

What Seiko 5? The old ones are getting old, and the new ones are pretty pricey for the specs
nintendokings The old ones, I just really like the Aesthetics on them, I know they feature the 7S26 movement which is super outdated, however I love Seiko / love collecting them. However I don’t agree with them trying to move up market when you have players like this with crazy specs not charging a lot of money, it doesn’t make any sense.
Exactly. If they keep going the way they are more people will start buying homages like this instead.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I agree... I've been looking at the new seiko samurai. Then started watching some of these videos of the steeldive. I wish seiko used the next movement up from the nh35 /4r36. As that's in most watches nowadays. Would definitely convince me to go for a seiko if it had the next movement up. Because right now you compare the steeldive to a seiko and where are the differences? The name and the history that goes with a seiko of course. And maybe the QC is better and the finishing. But you can't blame people for getting tempted by such watches like these.

everybody has their own tastes btw i got a mi band 2 before i got into watches aroound 2 years ago and it was a comfortable and the toughest watch i won seriously , my friend gave me one and it was kind of dim so i destroyed it but failed just has scratches and scuffs , works like a charm

You're correct it is a Mi Band 4. I wear it 24/7 to track steps, heart rate and sleep. Then I wear my watches on my other wrist.
As for which you should buy out of those two... I don't have experience with those watches, but I do have a couple of Heimdallr's and I'm really happy with them. The build quality is great. Hopefully that's helpful.

Im considering buying the steeldive skx quartz version, no sapphire, but i found it for 75 with coupons
If you put the automatic one in your cart and wait until the sale starts then you'll be able to that one for not much more. Unless you really want the quartz one that is.

I think the crown issue will probably be due to this being an early batch. The seller's are equally unlucky to receive them and probably didn't have a clue. I'll bet they've probably rectified these QC issues now. Bracelet aside this does a lot of what an Islander does. They have applied markers and good bracelets. You pay about 3 times more though...!

Thats because marc has to make a big return on his markup. He's pretty open about using Chinese manufacturing, probably using one of these same factories, and even getting them at a wholesale price.
Which Seiko SKX homage would you get from AliExpress? I was thinking about this one but now I'm not so sure.

They are selling " 2020 " models of the watch now. Are this realy new watches and have they upgraded them without that crown problem maybe?

My crown is exactly the same also my Lume pip and triangle have got damaged I assume the paint in triangle was weak it’s my work watch but in my case I got what I paid for wear mine on Nato or tropic time keeping is good just pain to set due Vostok style crown! All Things considered I wouldn’t buy another steeldive/addisdive due to being cheaply made and no QC

The turtle and other homages that they do I understand but a homage to something you can get from around £220 if you shop around doesn't make any sense to me.
Do you think the Steeldive tuna is better or this?
I don't have the Steeldive Tuna homage, so can't say. I only have the San Martin one.

It actually came with the watch when I got it. They've since changed it apparently.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR From the SteelDive shop on Aliexpress. Got a few off them now. 7 or 8. Only the skx have the issue from my experience. Every other watch has been perfect. Not too concerned. Was going to experiment with them anyway. Like you said if you angle the crown when you reinsert you can get them back in. Was going to try cerakoting cases and using the sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel on other watches.
Steeldive watches are really dangerous ones. I only buy them for "free return" sellers. They are very smart guys and send best items to the YT revues for free and once you order and receive the standard Steeldive watch it may be a disaster. Had plenty of crown issues (one even broken), dial alignment or flimsy bezels. Just try to turn the bezel to the right side of any Steeldive watches and there's 50 % chance you'll manage to do it without any special effort. Definitely overpriced brand.
It should use the nh36 movement
I'm happy enough with the NH35.

Nh35 is for day complication and the Nh36 is for day/date. thats why they used nh35 on this😉

Shame about the dodgy crown as it looks like a half decent watch. Funny how the seller has tried rebranding with some stickers and their manuals. But definitely a solid piece and much better than the one I got off eBay 😂

It's certainly is strange to do all that then leave the Steeldive logo on the dial. Even more so when they offer a sterile version too. They could have put their own logo on there instead.

I have their version of the tuna can, and the hands are kind of thin and crappy looking, the look the same as these.
You speak very quiet and i almost quit watching this video becoase the saphire and the bezel was very dirty.It's two second's job to clean that.Other than that it's goof review...
