    What a wild tone, love it! Music is spectacular too. I'm an instant fan within first 5 seconds of playing.

    Tim that guitar sounds so good in the treble pick-up. Love the way that big chromatic passage blossoms. This solo proves there are no wrong notes, we just lack confidence. Beautiful brother.

      That’s right, there are no wrong notes. Go with the flow?? Bird said the same thing.

    Hi Tim. You wouldn't be willing to teach
    'Can I Get An Amen (for ZC)' by any chance? I would likely need to get back into playing often and advance a fair bit before trying, but I've wanted to learn that since you released the vid haha.

    There is something about thin-line hollow body f-hole guitars that creates a sound I love, especially with P-90 or mini-humbucking pickups. I'd like to hear that guitar played clean on the neck pickup..? Collings said the middle layer of a three-layer top is where the tone comes from, so with Gibson that would be poplar, which is sandwiched between maple ply, but maybe it's a carved top on that model? Epiphone uses a thicker 5-layer top, which isn't as responsive - I have a 2008 Gretch Korean 5120 "electromatic" model, which was made with the thinner three-ply top usually used on more expensive models. It's very responsive and loud acoustically, which translates into a more pleasing musical experience amplified. I'm glad Collings got into making electric guitars, because he has made some beautiful versions of the classic old models, arguably improving their designs.

    I cannot remember swearing so much while watching a video in a really long time!! The playing is always superb, and that Tone was freaking amazing!! ❤️❤️
    I’m guessing you were on the bridge pick up with slight overdrive. But that is just a guess. Well done Tim!!

    Love the different timbre you get going between the pick and thumb, so expressive. How do you like the neck profile on the collings?

    sounding great here. You need to have that axe, but you'll have to play a lot of brunch gigs to pay for it.

    Hey Tim. Love the playing as always. I’ve been meaning to ask for some guidance with harp harmonics for a while. Any plans to cover this topic in the future? Thanks!

    So enjoyed your playing on this tune and your sound/tone. So surprised when I looked and you were on the neck pickup. Does the Collings use Lollars? I have been looking at a similar Heritage model. Hard to find a good ES-330 I can afford.

    • @TimLerchGuitar
      @TimLerchGuitar  Před 2 lety

      These are Lollars I used the Bridge pickup all the way thru the tune
