I'm an American living in Myanmar, lived here for over 10 years, currently in High School, and in Yangon it's quiet peaceful, everyone's very kind, and overall a good, fun experience. Unfortunately, anywhere else in Myanmar is quiet dangerous.
Do you have plans to leave Myanmar?😅
@@zenn314 not really, I'm studying in one of the top schools in Myanmar, and there are plenty of things to do. I'm having a really good time here. 😁

I am a Burmese who escaped Myanmar two year ago. I am now in Siem Reap. Your video randomly popped up on my home page and I clicked it out of curiosity. I really enjoyed it. I really miss my country, the food, the people and even the trishaws. It brings so much happiness to me when I saw you not asking for any discounts. It is a really cheap country and the locals really need the money. Hope to visit my country soon again. Thanks for posting this video.
Im actually a Myanmar person and its sweet to see that u guys from different countrys are supporting us. Thank u and god bless you.
Thank you for visiting mymmar I’m actually a Burmese kid❤

Thank you for visiting us and showing the world the things that we are dealing with.😢.I hope we will be out of this civil war soon.🇲🇲
I'm from Myanmar. I hope we can get back Democracy. I also hope to see most of the Tourists Attractions place alive with people. We are really tired of being poor and unhappy moments of being alive own. We, Myanmar are so polite and always wear smiling face. Saying 'Mingalar Bar'. For now, we are so tired under the inflation of exchange rate.
i wouldnt say we are polite ykyk
Yes I hope we got democracy back
@@kaung582lol but we are to some tourists.
Where are you living now? In Myanmar or other countries? Myanmar is not in peace situation right now.
Good Video. I'm from Myanmar. May our country regain independence.
You guys are so brave to go there and film . Appreciate it for sharing it. Thank you so much xx
Bro they are just a tourist, they won't hurt them tho😀

It's so thankful to see our country still have tourists, warmly welcome to all
Thanks. You guys didn't ask any discounts wherever you go and whatever you guys bought. That's nice. Thanks to support local people during the hard time.
I visited Myanmar in 2018 and it has been my favourite place ever since. It's a beautiful country filled with the kindest people I've ever met, I'll never forget all the smiling Mingalabars... Since the start of the civil war it has always been in my mind, good to see tourists are still visiting and the people of Yangon are resilient. Peace and love from The Netherlands to the oppressed people of Myanmar 🫶 Hope to one day visit again in peaceful times ☮
We are glad that you are visiting Myanmar. Thank you very much for this recording and editing🤍✨️ from Myanmar.🇲🇲

I am from Myanmar. I watched your vlog about your visit to our country. Nowadays, it is very rare to see tourists in our country. Thank you so much for bringing a positive vibe to our country. Hopefully, we also pray and wish for our country to be peaceful again. 🙏
I am currently living in Myanmar. Your assessment of both the beauty and also complexity of Yangon is pretty spot on..
Happy to see this video. I didn't back to Myanmar is been 3 years. I really miss My hometown.
Thank you Matt and Molly for braving this journey and showing us what's happening in Yangon. It's heartbreaking to see my hometown like this. As you already know it's one of the few safe spots you can visit and I could only see very few visitors which used to be buzzing with tourists and visitors everywhere.
The couple were so respectful to the people I love it
You guys are so sweet, respectful and thank you for coming 🫶🏻
I hope you'll come back when our country is in better situation and we're also fighting for democracy
Thanks for the speak out. We really appreciate it
I am Burmese currently livng in Yangon, Myanmar, and it has become increasingly difficult to live. Safety concerns make it risky to go out late, even in the city center. Poor economic management, recent conscription laws, and harsh military rule are driving unprecedented numbers of people to flee the country. The exchange rate has plummeted from 1,300 MMK per USD before the coup to 4,000 MMK per USD. Most foreign direct investment has withdrawn due to unstable exchange policies and harsh trade rules. Over 5 million Burmese live abroad, and many more have fled since the coup. I myself need to go back to Melbourne where I stayed there over a decade. The ongoing civil war makes it unsafe for tourists. Until stability and safety are restored, tourists should avoid Myanmar. Local residents face daily challenges, and the international community needs to support efforts toward peace and better governance.
Thank you for your comment & insight into the current situation. We pray it gets better 💗
Well said. I won’t risk myself to go there. It’s surely No-Go zone.
@@mayeleven-yv9ge😢
Coup or not.. you can't avoid inflation.. dollar will become more stronger because no other currency Ballance the use of dollar.. trust me whether your government change or not.. your currency will still the same..
@@mayeleven-yv9geI guess they won’t do anything to tourists!!! I was born in Myanmar 🇲🇲 most people are friendly but we do have so many ethnic groups different cultures different manners!!! Now I live in US but miss my homeland!!

Fun fact: "Myanmar" beer is actually a military product, so I recommend avoiding it! But still, thank you so much for sharing the situation about our country!
Love from Myanmar 🇲🇲
We are avoiding it and drinking bawdar & tiger. Thanks!
You should know if you was borned form a human being! Everyone knows this is not between two parties situations. This is robbery of ours freedom, opportunities and everything from bloody military junta MAL! So no matter how good Myanmar Beer is, it is military product, so we should boycott this.@@Jan_1212
@@Jan_1212
Nah. You don’t need to have extreme beliefs to boycott the military products which literally reinforces the crimes and sins the military is committing
You can clearly see that the military has brought different problems in every aspects of Myanmar. They have killed citizens who are apposed to them and even burnt villages if they could not get control of them. There is inflammation, and they use the taxes to buy weapons to kill citizens instead of improving our lives. Avoiding these products are one of the small things we could do to support those who are fighting against the military. If you are assuming we people who are fighting against the ones committing genocide as being ‘extreme’, then I am sure you have no sympathy towards the people who are currently suffering.
@@Jan_1212
Of course, we can’t defy every single business products that might be related with military in some ways. But it doesn’t make it right to say “ Don’t boycott the products solely related to military “.
Let’s say “Not smoking do not prevent lung cancer but if that is one of the main concerns, you clearly should stop it , right?
And what made you think the statements are made only based on one side view?
Ironically, It is more easy to see the righteous from a bird eye view.
Let’s ask anyone without biased of both counterparts , let them get any information they can find from trustworthy sources. Do you dare say that this is only misunderstanding between two parties?
I am a Burmese in Myanmar and I am crying when I see u talking about our ppl. Yes it is really a privilege to live in Myanmar. U can enjoy fancy restaurants with cheap prices. I love my country so much. I believe one day we can live freely.

Theses are tough times for the locals. Nice that you try to support them.
