  • Started building the top part of the HF manual tire changer customization. Its an adjustable piece that will make it much easier to remove and install tires on the rims without damaging the rims in the process. I'll add another video once it's finished with a material list and some rough measurements.

Please if you can. My metal shop needs the outside and the inside measurements plus the thickness of the round and square stock to order it. Thanks

    Nice design. I was thinking of doing something similar to my HF tire changer. How are you spinning your mod around the tire when it often takes a lot of force to put a new tire on? where are you getting your leverage when you don't have the arm sticking out of the other side of your pivoting point?

    • @BruceLyeg
      @BruceLyeg  Před 4 lety +3

      I still use the bar that came with the tire changer to turn the attachment around. It doesn't really take too much force as long as you use a good tire lube. It takes a lot less force with the tire duck than using the tire bar alone.

      Hey John. Good question. I've only ever seen similar modifications do up to a 22" tire. I don't see why it couldn't do larger as long as it isn't a low profile tire with a stiff sidewall.
