100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and a 5k run is NOT the one punch man workout. It's missing the most important parts.
For it to be the REAL one punch man workout, you have to include turning off your AC and heater and always eat breakfast. A banana is fine.

    • @KurNorock
      @KurNorock Před 5 lety +8

@@mikewhalley6877 That's not part of it. Every hero fights monsters, none of them have the power that Saitama has.
The reason Saitama has all that power isn't because of the physical aspect of his workout. It is because of the mental toughness required to stick to that simple workout even when his body is begging him to stop. No matter what kind of shape you are in, you can't just workout the same muscles every single day for years. You'll just end up injured and not making any gains. In real life, you need time to rest between workouts.
So arguably, the part about not using the Air conditioner or heater is probably even more important that whatever workout he was doing. The point was that he just had to do it every single day and push through the pain, discomfort, and boredom of it.

Constant and specific physical therapy at specific times with regular checks and special ice and heat baths also as specific times. Basically my life revolves around recovering. Now the way it was described to me was lets say you work out and get your shoulder strength to 100 unit; If I get my muscles and ligaments the same workout as you i would top out at 80 unit. So basically I have a small workout before bed that is specifically for the greatly strengthing the stabilizing muscles and better endurance to handle day to day activities. Sometimes it will not hurt then it will hurt again and i think it was because of the incident on grade four like the guy keep punching me on my shoulder area but im
Not one hundred percent sure if that what triggers it... there r times i throw pencil case at him bcus he had punch me and if he got hit by that pencil case... he will punch me more again
Fast forward 15 years since that incident ... my shoulder still hurts
I went on a hike with my younger brother and he told me to take the shortcut to go down the river and i agree with him
he fell on like a small cliff he was hanging for his dear life and i told him i will help him and me being idiotic i went to grab a branch and it snap and we keep laughing... i dont know why so we both hanging into this tree roots ... and then while i was hanging
On my shoulder area i heard like a crack sound ... so i was worried that my shoulder will be worse than it used to be... we got out of that situation... thank god.. the cliff wasnt dangerous it was very small dipped but still if we let go of what were holding on... we will get bruises

What helped me lose weight was to replace all drinks with water, and only eating 40-60 grams of carbs per day.
For a solid 2 months I was losing 1 lbs per day, after that I didn't lose that much more weight, but my body was getting toned.

@@tariqo16 All things considered, remarkably well, I burned out, gained a lot of weight (got to 465lbs) realised I was gonna die because my breath started to catch in my chest when I'd lay down to sleep. Realised that working out like the average person isn't really ideal for grossly overweight people. So, beginning of 2021, I started walking more, REALLY got into calorie tracking (despite being ridiculed by family for it) switched my diet up a lot, and as of this morning I'm 357.6 lbs, so I've lost about 7.5 stone ( 47.6kg) in about a year. I found out a few things. firstly: I don't really need much to eat at all if I feel full, I can eat 1200 calories and be fine as long as my stomach is full (though being that low on calories isn't ideal if I wanna keep muscle) second, it's really not hard at all to lose weight if you keep consistent and go the whole damn way with it, Will power is a muscle, you need to flex it to keep it strong. because of this I'm 26 and now able to wear clothes that I did at 18, and they fit me better NOW than they did then.

I think one way to mix up the running portion of the workout is to think like a triathlete and incorporate cycling and swimming. In a standard triathlon, in addition to a 10 km run, a triathlete does a 40 km cycle and a 1.5 km swim. So replacing a 10 km run with either a 40 km cycle or a 1.5 km swim is a good way to mix up the One Punch Man Workout along with keeping the knees and shins healthy.

Oh god the shoulder thing, you are so right! I was actually guilty of that too for a while, I didn't know how to work it with just my bodyweight until I rewatched that episode of Hajime no Ippo where they're making them do a crab walk, so I do those now and they've been working wonders for my rear delts.

Hey Jax, a couple of years ago I use to hate your channel for some reason I don't know why. I loved anime and video games like you but honestly I was so insecure with myself I was kind of jealous how you can so easily express yourself without fear of judgement of other people. Glad to see I like you now and after I started loving myself you are a great motivation bro :)

Here's a different push up that makes it feel like there is added resistant or weight.
Go to a typical wide hand push up and just try to pull your hands in together. It adds tons of tension on the chest, making it just as difficult as lifing weight
This is simple to do and the stronger you get the more you can squeeze so the difficult is always the same or increases

Hey jack I have a few questions
    1. What certifications are required to be considered a personal trainer
2.Roughly what does your daily diet consist off
    3. what is your body type you look like a meso, but that could just be because you work out, I'm Endo and I find it really hard to tone...
4.any tips to motivate someone to work out?
    5. for those who don't have the money for a gym membership or workout equipment what are some versatile calisthenics or other things that would work for exercising
I want to become a Personal trainer but I need to get in shape first I'm also just curious how you'll answer

I do a variation on this. I don't do 10 k runs, but I do other cardio. At least 20 minutes per day.
For the resistance I do an "A" and a "B" workout. "A" day is the squats, sit ups, and push ups. "B" day is bent over rows (or pull ups), over head press/delt flys, and single leg deadlifts.
I switch things up though depending on where I'm working out. If I have equipment I use it. If not, no problem!

  • @Dmobley9901

Honestly, I think it's almost common knowledge at this point that Saitama has a muscle imbalance from never doing pull ups. XD
Imagine though, a world where Saitama gets injured, not because he lost a fight, but because his training is imbalanced and so one day he just throws a punch to take out another baddie and ends up throwing out his shoulder-
Doubt it'd happen though, since Saitama nullifys all drama in his world-
Still, great video as always, and also, I think, aside from missing a pulling workout to get those rear delts like you said, another reason a good bit of people aren't getting very great results from the routine is because they either: 1. Can't handle the running.
    or
    2. Can't manage eating healthy, because they're either too tied to their unhealthy habits, or they stress too much over restricting their diet rather than shifting what they eat to be more creative and healthy-
Can't speak for the second season or the web series or manga, but almost every meal I remember Saitama having in the first series was actually fairly healthy with a good amount of fruits, like bananas, or other plant-based foods...like monster seaweed, only exception would be chewing on some bubble gum and eating at, I think some ramen restaurants with Genos and Mumen rider.

When we did drylands at swim practice we did what I ended up calling multi-level push-ups, where one rep was going 1/3 down, holding, back up, then repeating at the 2/3 and 3/3 or right above the ground steps, those things killed after a while but they felt so good
