  • The old 1953 chevy 3100 Farm Truck was getting some fresh air and enjoying the sunshine, and I figured it was overdue for some exhaust sound video. This '53 Chevy has a 6.0 LS L96 engine from a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. Transmission is a 4L80E. Exhaust is Hooker Headers and MagnaFlow Mufflers. As you can see, the truck doesn't have positraction, but she still gets down the road nicely. It's definitely a sleeper setup, with the exception of the low stance.

There were no 1953 Chevrolet pickup trucks with V-8. The 265 V-8 came out in 1955. Also there were NO automatic transmissions for pickups until 59.

That isn't entirely accurate. This truck never came with a V8 in '53, but you could get a Ford truck with Flathead V8 in '53.

@@ClassicNation yes Fords had Flatheads back in 1933 for trucks. Wicked engine in that day.
