While I was watching this I had the irrepressible urge to listen to the beautiful south, wonderful music from a time when beautiful cars were still normal.

Good video guys, I'm about to release a video 1 year with the Duster. I'm considering upgrading to the Jogger as I use it as a small van for work. Great brand on a budget, if I've got people in the car I just leave the key in the door pocket. I think Dacia are starting to really eat into the Market now, my local dealership in Weybridge can't get enough stock in!

I've had a seven seat Jogger for a year now. Performance and handling are perfectly suited to this type of vehicle, even fully laden, and the economy is astonishing; the best I've seen so far is 68mpg (although it seems to be around 10% optimistic). On a recent trip we had four adults, four large baggage hold case, four full size cabin cases, a wheelchair (in one piece, not dismantled) and a rollator walker onboard. No one was in the least bit cramped. Yes, the engine is a little coarse, but in my example I don't understand the gearchange comments.
It's just a likeable, useful vehicle that is pleasant to live with and by comparison with my previous BMW 225XE it's half the price - and I love the lack of "tech" in the cabin.

Hi guys a great video as ever my neighbour has a 72 plate Jogger extreme and is the ideal transport with three boys aged under 10 and all the family baggage
Alex has been very pleased with it and has said much the same as you including the gearbox being a weak point she had to have a gearbox replaced before Christmas as she lost drive and was without the car for 4 weeks
It’s good to see cars which are not massive SUVs are still made for people which do what they ask of them! All the best Daniel

I have a hybrid extreme, good car. Deliving 65MPH with frugal driving. The big criticism from me is the A pillars obstruct view pulling out of junctions.

Cause of modern crash structures that's pretty much all cars unfortunately

I keep a new car normally no more than a year to two years from new. Nothing I have owned has been as obstructive as the A pillars in the jogger.

Fun and balanced review of a great-looking car, thank you kindly. Fantastic scenery to film the review in too. Perhaps a Duster is on the cards back home? Thank you very much for the video 👍

I drive the hybrid jogger extreme and it's a brilliant car it always takes of in electric mode and is far better fuel economy even carries seven adults without a fuss on motorways and up hills. I find putting in B mode on down hills and lot of traffic about helps the braking of the car and also regeneration of the battery but on motorways just drive D mode and gives more power from the engine.

We would love to try the Hybrid as it would sort most of the things we didn't like about a very likeable car

I got a brand new top spec Logan 8 years ago for just over 10 grand, shocked to see this is coming in at over double that.
Brilliant cars for budget, not sure if they are worth the current price though.

A nice looking car and great value for a brand new car these days. I'm not so sure this 1.0 litre engine is available in a Mercedes but the 1.3 petrol and 1.5 diesel are available in Mercedes cars. Also, the Jogger now comes with an automatic hybrid with a 1.6 petrol engine. Just what it needed 😁

    • @alsodriven
      @alsodriven  Před 5 měsíci

The 0.9 and 1.3 are all H series engines
We would love to try the Hybrid as I think it would solve a lot of the issues we had with the Jogger as it's generally a likeable car bar the constant question "Why is it f#¢king beeping now???"

Giving it 12mth to see how reliable they are, fancy the hybrid but hanging on to the Duster for now.

Absolutely agree about buttons to operate air con etc etc. Glad to see Euro NCAP are going to downgrade cars which don’t have manual buttons/controls on safety grounds . So pleased Mazda are keeping their buttons ! Good review

Nice car. Maybe the hybrid would be the ideal version. Maybe you can do a test drive in the UK with one?

I want Renault to slap their logo on it and start selling it on South America like the other Dacia's they sell here, that's actually a cool and practical car

I wish they would make Citroen 2 cv, renault 4/6/16, or mk1 berlingos brand new would buy in a heartbeat. I dont like the sound of the 3 cylinder. I am an avid fan of utilitarian cars. I think if the body was easier on the eye I would be attracted to. I think these will be around for a long time. I think french and Italian cars are far more robust than the Gallic car haters.
    Excellent review thanks

I like the jogger but would like a less frenetic engine.
Wonder is there a 1.5dci engine available? I suppose it would depend on the mileage you do as to whether the 3 pot would be suitable seeing as it likes the motion lotion 😂

Yeah I've driven a Captur/ASX and the gearbox is so meh. Its not awful like a 00s PSA one but its not engaging at all! Is just fine.
The Jogger at least looks rather nice but a budget car.
Hybrid one is the most interesting one.
