I normally use sand and blood worms
and also clams

I usually catch small ones, too, at Sunken Meadow. Wish I could catch legal sized ones. How come you walk back to the parking lot through the brush? Lots of ticks on Long Island. Not worth getting them on you for a shorter walk to your car.
