Y'know I get that's a joke but we're not far away from that. Deepfakes and whatnot, I could see a day (and soon) where something like that is available. Especially on high-end PCs, games are to the point where in-game cinematics rendered in real-time can look very convincing, even photorealistic. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to put all the pieces together. Photorealistic 3D rendering, TTS AI to simulate actor's voices. Build your own movie scene, play it out in real-time.

Structural engineers for Ferris wheels usually plan for apocalyptic events, it's called the 'Cotton Candy Cataclysm Protocol' rule and exists in most countries, even came up in FBI leaked documents, probably why we see it in movies all the time

He is phenomenal in everything I have ever seen him in, from "Justified" to "The Unicorn". Even if this looked terrible (it looks awesome), I would still watch it just because he is in it.

If this isn't a brutal horror series where we see the twisted experiments done on the forgotten vaults, then they're missing out. Some of the best lore is inside those terminals of workers confessing to stuff. Vaults with too many people and not enough food, vaults where they turned everyone in plant monsters, vaults that have never been opened before... etg
my favorite was in FO4 with the vault fun of drug addicts and there was a hidden room filled with drugs and the aftermath in the vault was crazy once they found it.
Its not, and the games are not about that either. Its lore that brings it all together. For you to explore.

I lost this game for 5 years. It literally turned up last week in old DVD case. I popped it in like it was the first time. Then…. 3 days later this trailer comes out? Weird. And very cool.

Looks shockingly decent [as in for every Reacher or The Boys, Prime manages to put out a Rings of Power or Wheel of Time] this looks both lore accurate AND well put together.

@@Voondubah I have played New Vegas a bunch. Like most people, it's probably my favorite. Interestingly enough, though, it's the only one I have finished. I always get uninterested once I make it to NV.
@@Kaylakaze - yeah, I waited until all the DLC was available, then purchased it....then did all of the DLC I could FIRST (because I'm the kind of player who sees the main questline and says "Right, let's go over here instead") - and by the time I got to New Vegas, I kinda felt that I was already done with the game.
So Fallout 2? Sure you had to find the GECK....eventually. But becoming New Reno's greatest porn star is more important.
Walton Goggins is the perfect cast for this!! He might be one of my favorite actors! he can be normal and dashing and crazy and creepy at the drop of a hat.
Nice to see Walton Goggins again-his voice is so different for this role than it was for Shane Vendrell.

Because this is a TV show and not the video game they really need to up DeathClaws power level 10 fold. I could see an Alien Isolation type of episode where she has to escape just one.

They clearly didn't though. Do all white people sound the same to you, or have you just not played 10,000 hours of Fallout III, Fallout Broken Steel, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76? Trick question, because NOBODY played Fallout 76. We tried, but then just replayed Fallout 4 for the 18th time. Same guy though. Stephen Russell voiced all Codsworth and Mr Handys from Fallout III onward. He was also Nick Valentine! Nothing to do with this production though.

For a brief moment I saw 2 scene on this trailer, which reminded me a movie which had the actor that play in this movie. It reminded me Maze Runner 3 :The Death cure
They need to make a show just about life in the vault. Every episode a different vault with a different twisted experiment. It's my favorite part of the games lore. Like black mirror or twilight zone but just vault after vault.

When the first game came out I was in my 20s, would never have thought the genre would have progressed to the point where a movie like this was being made about it.

Obvious Finn and Rey aside, they captured alot of the theme
Their production designers have NAILED the look of the game. I’m not just talking about the costumes or the weapons - I’m talking about how even the MAILBOXES outside the vault rooms are IDENTICAL to ones you can use when building settlements in Fo4.
And I’ve got 1200+ hours invested in Fo4 - and a good portion of those hours has been spent in settlement building. (Yes, I’m one of those weirdos who will spend tons of time ignoring thr main quests because I’m too busy building my Nuka-Towers apartment complex at Fiddler’s Green…where I can build because I also play with a shitton of mods.)

I bet they're saving that for the opening of the first episode. They could open with the video ad for the vault, then show Goggins trying to get his kid into the shelter as the nukes fall, they get caught in the blast as everything goes dark and transition into... "War... War never changes..." We then get our glorious Ron Perlman speech and introduction to life in Vault 33.

I'm sorry Torque, but I gotta agree with Havoc. Westworld was a mess. It was a great premise, which was turned into a prolonged, meandering plotline. Don't get me wrong, there are elements of that show I love. Anthony Hopkins delivers some killer performances. The other actors as well are all very committed to their roles. And the production quality is very good, at least for the first two seasons. It was, however, a terrible show. I liked the idea of liking it.

Anybody else catch the Shady Sands sign?
It is one of my biggest reasons to believe this show is NOTHING but memberberries and no actual care for what established lore we had. Shady Sands was made AFTER the bombs, not before. Shady Sands was also more likely to have been ditched as a name - aside from historical - when they went from Shady Sands to NCR. It also implies that they have no idea where or how NCR came to be and probably has little to no relation with Shady Sands in the show. The main problem with this is that Bethesda said that lore in the show will be lore for the franchise.
So basically this showing of the sign saying Shady Sands is far more of a red flag than anything else.

This show takes place after Fallout 4. If Shady Sands is a crater, then it can only mean that it got cratered recently. Who bombed it? It might have been the Brotherhood of Steel. It might have been one of the missiles launched from the Divide in the New Vegas game. It might have been a wacky accident. I guess we'll find out, but we do know that this is not an error.

The only clickiing that I heard that day was the bones in my back that had gone astray.
Unrealistic.. nobody looks that good after a Bethesda character-creator.. which HAS to be the whole first episode btw, just face sliders and personality tests for about 90 minutes.

This actually looks good. Like one of the few things done right recently.. That cast ! I am always happy to see Walton Goggins. He is such a great actor and literally perfect for any role - but this fits so well.. He's an incredible character actor. One of the best imo recently (or at all) being "Baby Billy" In The Righteous Gemstones.
Can't wait for this tbh! hope it doesn't disappoint. The New Vegas stuff was especially exciting💛💛💛💛
( I do wish they had done a slightly better job on the costumes somewhat - but i can live with it. )
