Enjoyed the video and am looking forward to how you get on spraying with the SJ81. I am 71 , and after a long long gap decided to get back into model making. After watching a couple of reviews I ordered the SJ81 and SJ83 direct from the Neoeco website . The courier lost the package. To their credit as soon as Neoeco confirmed the package was lost they sent me replacements that I received at the end of September. I have only a chance to use them twice so far, to be honest the results have been a bit mixed, but I am a newbie to airbrushing and I think the results have got more to do with the paint I was using rather than the brushes themselves. By the way the gold band behind the trigger on the SJ81 allows you to alter the tension on the trigger.

I have not tried these budget airbrushes but I have got an Iwata Revolution CR which, if you shop around, you can get for around £85. They are bomb proof and work really well. I think with airbrushes it is best to get the best you can afford.
In my lengthy modelling career I have never found the need to swap paint pots on an airbrush and if you need a pot of paint as big as those then I wouldn't use a small airbrush to do the painting.

Try the water trap on the airbrush first then add the quick release? Might stop the bleed you get when it angles and give you more of a ‘handle’ for the way you like to hold?
Can see that set with the 0.5 needle in being a great option for a priming only airbrush 🙂
It was the angled air connection on the Procons that really surprised me in use though, so comfortable to use!

This is exactly the video I needed right now! Thank you for making it! 😊I just bought a similar airbrush kit yesterday (different brand name, called Fine Art, but almost the same exact thing). So this is an excellent tutorial for a new airbrush owner like me 😃

I used a £30 airbrush from ebay for ten years, now I have Vex from Reaper made by Badger. I still have the cheap one, it still works for priming.

Looks like a decent bundle with all you might need and a fair review. Inexpensive airbrushes seem to be better made now compared to a few years ago. I think if you are just trying airbrushing they are a good way to try it. If you do upgrade they will always be useful for primers or metallics.

I bought this airbrush as my first airbrush after watching the review of another CZcamsr. I will be honest-it was a less than stellar experience. The 0.3 needle came bent, which is probably the most useful of all three needles. Also, the nozzle that came for the 0.5 needle was not the right size. So I was left with the 0.2 needle only that was completely useable. So, I ended up purchasing a full replacement needle set. Along the way I made rookie errors like shearing off the threads of one of the nozzles from over-tightening during one of the (many) times I took the airbrush apart trying to figure out why it wasn’t spraying right.
I have watched a lot of videos showing that this airbrush will perform well for a budget airbrush. So I was probably just unlucky. Just wanted to pass along my experience for anyone considering purchasing this kit.
