I often think that all of the michima bloodline story could have been avoided by proper use of GUNS
I'm not so sure, Heihachi used guns on Jin in T3 and it only aweken his devil gene

Ha! Guns didn't do shit to Jin in T3! Heihachi dodged bullets and deflected rockets with his bare hands! Kazuya survived a freaking Ion Cannon and didn't even get a scratch! The only one who could be vulnerable to guns is Kazumi since she doesn't look like the strongest Devil Gene user!

The Netflix show said that Kazuya didn't want to just fight but to hurt and humiliate his opponents.
