I nursery primarily and pumped alongside and agree that the zips need to be bigger for nursing. The zip tops are still my go to for out and about nursing though!

I need to make some more zips, filming this made me realise I could do with some more!

I really enjoyed this video. I’ve pumped/ breastfed one child and breastfeeding a second and avoiding pumping if possible- I found it so cumbersome. Cannot believe I didn’t think about a pumping bra! Also I loved the tone and the way you spoke about feeding in general- yes, why is it so cold at night?!

I think so many people have a bad relationship with pumping but comfort makes a huge difference!

Thank you for discussing pumping.I am , genuinely, interested in this method as I have not heard of it before.I hope you know this comment is not intend to offend you or question your choices.but to find out more about this method. Many years ago .I breast fed my three children for two years plus and as they were premature I had to ,for many months, use an electric pump to supply milk. I don't understand the way the pump is used regularly throughout the day.. I used to top up milk in sterilized bottles with special breast milk freezing bags kept in the fridge. When the required level was reached, over 24 hours ,it was then frozen for use when needed.I also had solid cups to put in my bra ,when feeding,to collect any drips from the breasts. Collecting and freezing milk meant you always had a store in case of any problems. You could also use the breast milk fresh.I don't understand why you need to pump at night or when going out as the explained method helped baby to be fed by me using my milk while the pump stayed at home.I was able to breast feed my children and I support any way a mother feels happy to feed their baby.As long as baby is loved and fed and the mum and dad are happy that's all that matters.I hope I have explained myself without offending you .I am , genuinely interested in the breast pump method of feeding as I had not heard of it before.

Hi Maureen, I never nursed my son, so in order to build and maintain supply you must regularly remove milk from the breasts. Removal of milk is what signals to the body to make more. This is why when exclusively pumping milk, you must regularly remove milk by pumping through the day and night, just as a nursing baby would nurse through the day and night.
