Mine is the same way! Getting ready to replace the bushings. That's all it needs unless you find metal wear....

Hi, is it possible to do this with the car on a jack stand? Will replacing the ring bushing on the silicone ball solve this? Thanks

Think my e21 might be worse lmao, same side play in gear as neutral!! I'm gonna order all new bushings and fix the shift plate and hopefully it should be all good
