    It’s “reactive centrifugal force” not “centrifugal force”which only could observe when you are in a accelerating frame.

    Awesome Video!!! I'd try to be very precise and show that as the matter stays in a circular path; that is a demonstration of centripetal force. When the object flies off in a straight line; due to the force slowing down, that would be a demonstration of centrifugal force. Just a difference of a few letters, though. ;)

      Tim Gilloon when an object stays in a circular path, it's a demonstration that something is physically holding it there. Period.

    The rotating objects in this video will be exerting a centrifugal force, they are not subject to such a force.

      Yes, the object will continue along tangent because BOTH forces will cease to act.
      The moment the "action" stops the "reaction" stops as well.
      Before that the object's inertia was resisting centripetal force by own centrifugal force.
      Hence the name "inertial FORCES".
      Did inertia oppose centripetal force by own centrifugal force, or by "please don't pull me"?
      Centrifugal wouldn't pull towards straight line if centripetal didn't pull away from it.
      The usage of words "real" and "not-real" forces is misleading.
      EVERY force is mathematical representation or resultant.
      For example "contact" forces are not really "contact" forces.
      There is no real contact between atoms and molecules of involved objects.
      It is only our own convenient way to describe them.
      According to General Relativity, gravitational force is inertial force, but nobody calls it "fictional" force.
      Inertial forces can break moving parts the same as any other "real" forces.
      What breaks rotor of serial electric motor without load is centrifugal force.
      Teach students to respect them both.
      The main reason for the trend was inappropriate name "centrifical" used by someone who forgot real names.
      THAT was the non-existing thing, not "centripetal" or "centrifugal".
      "Centrifical" is "not a word".
      The student who was warned about the error was too vain to understand what was his real mistake.
      So it came to trend of parroting "difference" between "center seeking force" and "center fleeing force" instead.
