- So we’ve finished the Avengers vs XMen vs Eternals storyline from Marvel Comics so I wanted to try something different. I wanted to give a shot to the Ultimate X-Men! The world stands on the brink of genetic war. Mankind makes the first move, launching an army of giant, cybernetic executioners called Sentinels - programmed to target and eliminate mutants. The only force preventing total annihilation: the X-Men!
▸What Are The Ultimate X-Men: Ultimate X-Men is a comic book series, which was published by Marvel Comics from 2001 to 2009. The series is a modernized re-imagining of Marvel's long-running X-Men comic book franchise as part of the Ultimate Marvel imprint. The Ultimate X-Men exist alongside other revamped Marvel characters in Ultimate Marvel titles including Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Fantastic Four and The Ultimates.
The protagonists are the X-Men, a group of teen-aged mutants: a subspecies of the human race, who possess latent super-human abilities from birth, due to the presence of the mysterious "X-Gene" within their genetic codes. It sets them apart from the rest of humanity and despite being feared and distrusted by the general public and authorities, they use their super-powers to prevent and stop unnatural threats to both the human and mutant race, while being mentored by Professor Charles Xavier, The X-Men's founder and a world-renowned expert on genetics and the world's most powerful telepath. The series features many characters and storylines similar to those of the original X-Men series. Ultimate X-Men almost completely ignores supernatural or mystical elements as plot devices, and the X-Men have no secret identities, and mutants are distrusted and hunted down.

As someone who almost never comments, I hope you continue with this series. I hope we get the green ranger stroy arc that I hink is coming. It's also nice to not have to worry about backstory or inconsistancies with previous writers. Ultimate is a nice clean beginning.
Green ranger story arc? Is that a cross over in the ultimate universe between marvel and power rangers?

Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Spider-Man were some of the best stories that came out of the Ultimate Universe. Ultimate Avengers was fine and fun nuff said.
I would love it if you contined to cover the Ultimate Xmen run on this channel because it does a LOT different for the characters that we are so used to in many creative ways and its a averagely good run and dips our toes into the Ultimate Universe and see how comics at that time were almost 20 YEARS AGO

I was always curious about ultimate xmen but never had time to check it out. Please do more of these, I love it so far. Anything X-men honestly
This series was so good! A lot of X-Men fans hate it because they changed a lot personalities of their favorite character(s). Please continue with it.
The only thing that I didn’t like about the Ultimate X-Men characterizations was what they did with Colossus.

As some1 that used to buy and read the Ultimate titles back when they were being published, those were some really good stories out there.
Aaaaand then Ultimatum happened.
Personally, I would love Rob to cover the other Ultimate titles as well. Especially, since at some point before Ultimatum happens there were crossovers - teamups and other stuff happening even after Ultimatum.

I never looked at magneto as “good or bad” his character is more complex and imo he just does wat he thinks is best at tht time so he fits all roles in that spectrum all at once
Magneto in the ultimate universe is straight up just evil. Read ultimatum and you’ll see what I mean.
I remember finding this exact comic in an alley when I was a kid. It’s actually the first X-men comic I ever read but it was ripped in half so I never got to see how it ended Thanks for covering this!!!!

For the hundred issue run that they had, there were more Ups than Downs in the series. I think they covered every major villain that the 616 X-Men have ever done! It's definitely a series everyone can get into.

I like the idea of the mutants being here the whole time in the MCU like it’s presented in the Ultimate universe. But I understand the hole in that idea, as what Rob stated.
Mutants weren't here the whole time in the Ultimate universe, that fact is revealed in Ultimatum.
Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men were the best parts of the Ultimate Universe imo. I loved those runs.

Keep it going! I started reading the ultimate universe but work got in the way so it'll be nice to hear stories from the Ultimate universe. I've always heard most things sucked outside of Ultimate Spiderman but I'm interested on more realistic takes on all these iconic characters.
Keep it going? I get the ultimate arc is kewl...but the mutants are super depowered.... No Omega Level Mutants.... No Sovereign Island Krakoa. The House of X arc is much more interesting than the ultimate one
