Pathfinder Solo Actual Play Session #0

- This is a new idea I am exploring.
Some solo actual plays are multiple hours long, and I struggle to find three hours to watch a video. Others are such high-quality productions that they are unattainable for normal people.
I want to strike a middle ground. This will be real, warts and all as it happens. What will be different will be that I will record a single scene at a time, possibly two, but keep each video under 5 minutes. I am imagining viewers would watch one, two or many 'episodes' at a time, or if you are on hold on the phone for hours you could watch a load of them at once!
I do not know how to run Pathfinder, 2nd Edition, and have never played any version of it. So this will be a learning experience. I will try and mix a bit of running published adventures with some freeform oracle driven play.

I personally love the long solo videos (whether high quality or simple basement quality). But I have a deep ability to stay focused, but realise this is not for everyone. Really like this video :-))
I also agree that the 2e should have everything you need to play, but you gotta think about how gigantic the book would be if it had stats for NPCs in it. It’s the same way with DND and first edition Pathfinder, but you can find enemy stats on the Pathfinder SRD Archives of Nythes if needed.
The Archives of Nythes is absolutely brilliant. My only complaint is that having bought the core rulebook, I have gone on to spend a further $150 just to be able to play the game. If the price had got much higher I think I would have reached the point where I felt I was throwing good money after bad.
As it is, I have a working set up now, so I can get countless hours of enjoyment from the game. That is the point where the dollars/hour calculation starts to pay off.

I like the shorter videos -- I can watch anything up to 10-15 minutes while having a coffee break. For longer videos, I usually have to pause a few times or watch them over multiple sittings, and I don't always finish them.
I am very much the same. It makes more sense for me to make the videos that I would be more inclined to watch.
If a video is over 20min, 75% of the time I never finish it. Your bit-sized videos are perfect and short-form solo actual plays will do a lot of good!
BTW, there's a Starfinder Humble Bundle at the time of this writing...
I already bought the Starfinder humblebundle. I have been waiting for it.
I'm going to have to check out the humble bundle so far I do own starfinder but that's it.

More/short and realistically doable at home is a much better formula.
I love me-myself-and-die, and I even support it, but that is a professional actor doing a one man show. It is very entertaining, but not very helpful, save as inspiration, like a novel or movie would be.
I think I will get more use, and different entertainment, from this. Thank you.
