    As a local that has seen quite a few foreigners try to make a video about Prague public transport, this is honestly one of the most straightforward and easiest to follow that I've seen so far.

      Omg! 🥳 thanks so much for the positive feedback! Means a lot when locals think it would be easy for others to follow 😃😎

    I went to Prague last week. I was too afraid to take the bus + metro. But it is super easy to take this option. You don't need Czech money. You can pay everything by card in Prague. (Except toilette, only coins.)

      Haven't been to Prague for a year or so but have stayed at the Plaza Alta Hotel many times. As you exit Holesovice Metro you can see it to the left at the end of Komunardu. It was very close to my son's apartment so convenient for our needs. My wife and I took the 119 bus to the terminus but then got the 26 tram to Sparta and then changed to the 12 tram as it stopped very close to the hotel (the metro station is a good block away) and there is more to see from the tram. A point to note, large bags (suitcases not backpacks) should have their own ticket but this is cheaper than an adult ticket (a child's ticket I think). Over 65s can travel for free on the Prague buses, trams and metro but you need to be able to show some form of identification such as passport or driving license with your date of birth on it.

      If comming still in December than it should still be alright but sometime in early 2024, the bus connection number 119 will actually be replaced by trolleybus line number 59. If I'm correct, the route should stay the same but the line numbers will change. The infrastructure of partial trolleybus service is already there while the new buses themselves should be delivered soon.

    I will be visiting next week and was wondering if Prague Transit, to city center, is still free for senior citizens (65+) with valid passport. Also as a senior would I have to purchase a ticket for my luggage. Will be staying at Hilton Prague Old Town. the Thank you.

      Prague transit is free for over 65s, you’d just need proof of age if you got asked by a ticket inspector. I assume if you’re travelling for free, they’re not gonna charge for the luggage either 😄

    Can I ask, if my ticket expires when I am still on the bus/metro what happens? Will I get fine if I get checked?

    • @n1ckburt0n
      @n1ckburt0n  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I would imagine that your ticket needs to be valid at the time it’s checked 🎟️ I didn’t see any checks in Prague (there are a lot of checks in Budapest) even the longer tickets are pretty cheap in Prague so I’d make sure it’s valid for the length of your journey. 🤓🙂

    What about Prague airport to the Florenc bus station?

    • @n1ckburt0n
      @n1ckburt0n  Před 2 měsíci

      Either take the bus shown in the video & then take the metro green line to Mustek and then change to yellow line to Florenc
      Or take Bus 100 (from the stands shown in the video) to Zlicin at the end of the yellow metro line and take that to Florenc
