      HI! Very useful video. Thank you!
      However, I would like some advice on what is the best way to reach accommodation from the airport in my case.
      The flight is expected to land at the T2C terminal. My wife and I will have to reach Gracia, the accommodation is the Residencia Erasmus Gracia.
      How should we do it? Since we will be in Barcelona for 5 days (3 full days + 2 travel days), which T-mobilitat card should we get?

    Thank you so much for this practical video, once arrived at the airport I had the impression that I already knew the area 😅
    One thing IMPORTANT to mention. I've been annoyed while trying to buy my 6 zones T-usual (~61€). Regarding the credit cards, the automate does only accept contactless payments! So if your country has a security which limits payments (e.g 50 €) or if this feature isn't activated on your credit card you're in trouble 😢
    Furthermore it doesn't allow to use more than 1 bill of 50€ for payments (I had 2 bills of 50€) so be aware of this to avoid being stressed when making your ticket purchase..

I guess you will have to do it through a taxi company, but couldn't recommend one. Barcelona transport tickets are for the Barcelona metropolitan area. Montserrat is 60 km away. Thanks so much for the detailed videos. One thing I'm not clear on, is if you take the train from the airport with one of the T-Mobilitat passes, how do you pay the additional €1.xx to board? Do you need to load a cash balance onto the card in addition to the pass, do you need to pay with a credit card, or some other payment method? I'm wondering if the Hola Barcelona card might be a better option even if it is a little more expensive as one can take a train, metro, or city bus without having to worry at all about extra payments?

    • @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal
      @ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal  Před 2 měsíci

      Hello, didn't quite understand your question. T- mobilitat is just the support where you load your tickets (check out this video on the topic czcams.com/video/HbJzpyxLCzg/video.html ). To be able to travel, you need to load some type of ticket on the T-mobilitat. Hola Barcelona is a good option, but with a T-casual you can travel in all the public transports of the city of Barcelona with the exception of the airport metro.

    • @ciabelle281
      @ciabelle281 Před 2 měsíci

      @@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Ok, I believe I understand now, but the way you phrased things had me confused. In short, using a T-Casual ticket to board the train at the airport will use one of the 10 credits on the ticket, which costs approximately €12.10 at the machine. At first, It sounded like one needed to pay an additional €1.21 over and above the credit used to depart from the airport station. Bear in mind, in order for a visitor to only pay €1.21 for the trip, they need to take *exactly* ten trips on public transportation during their visit. If they only use it five times, the cost will effectively be double.
      You've indicated that the train is faster than the metro, but as most visitors will arrive in T1, they will also need to factor the time of exiting the terminal, catching the shuttle to T2, and then the long walk to the train station, and trains only running every 30 minutes, vs about every 5-10 minutes for the metro. Especially if you are only visiting for a couple of days (going on a cruise for instance) one might need to weigh the pros and cons of using a T-Mobilitat card vs. an Hola Barcelona card.

      Good morning, Lynne, beware of Google Maps in Barcelona. PR1 is a local bus, you pay for it same as you pay for bus 46 (as explained in the video). You will use one trip per person traveling on that bus. N19 is a night bus, only runs at night. We believe you can also use the transport cards to ride the night bus, but we've never used it.
