Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 6 (3) Final Fantasy 7 Final Fantasy 8, Earthbound (me too Rob Man) Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, Legend of Zelda Link to the Past, Lost Odyssey, Phantasy Star, Grandia 2, Super Mario RPG, and lot lots more. Even though I grew up in the 80s, and 90s I was too busy playing Street Fighter 2, and every Neo-Geo fighting game you can think of that I missed the golden era of SNES RPGs and other systems. Now that I'm older and thanks in part to your show Johnny I want to go back and play them all :)
My Bucket list is essentially my entire collection^^ I do have some games that I already started a while a go (some of tehm 15 Years ago) and *I still haven't finished by at least beating the main game:* • Lost Vikings II ( SNES) • Comix Zone (SMD) • Super Adventure Rockman (PS1) • Nightshade (PS2) • Final Fantasy X (PS2) • The Last Guardian (PS4) • God of War - Ascension (PS4)
No. Have over 1000 games (ps3, Xbox 360, PS4, and PC) and don't plan on finishing them (54 years old, won't live that long). Ones I actually do want to finish some time are Dying Light, AC Syndicate, Grim Dawn and The Last of Us. At least shooting for finishing those four is a possibility. Though I doubt it once new releases like No Man's Sky and other games take up my time. I have too short of a game attention span. Only finish those games that give me that addictive "can't put it down" feeling that I play for a week straight, some times twice. Very small percentage of the games I own have done that. Some might get finished by my son or a grand child that inherits my game collection.
Legend of Zelda Majora's mask, I just can't get the groove for it, I think its amazing and I really want to finish it but I never have the patience to do so. And at one point I really wanted to beat a metal gear solid game, and I finally done that by beating MGS 3 in the hd collection on vita. And that game became one of my favorites of all time
Love this episode you guys have some great ideas for videos. I need to finish Earthbound as well. I get to Threed and then stop! All I remember from that place is a tent and trash cans everywhere.
I can feel Rob Man's pain on this one. One of my bucket list games that I refuse to play until I have the complete in box version is Panzer Dragoon Saga. I remember seeing them in FuncoLand back in 1999 for $30, and I didn't pick it up. So upsetting, especially since it goes for over $600 now in that condition.
When I was collecting games for my Saturn I, too, wanted PD Saga (I have PD and PD Zwei). Unfortunately the prices for the game nowadays are nothing short of extortion. Crazy how much that game is worth now. I do wonder if I'll ever own a copy...
my brother had a copy of .hack SIGN it froze on a certain mission, i bought a used ps2, found a copy ANOTHER copy of the EXACT SAME GAME inside of the used ps2. gave it to the bastard to let him finish his game...
Legend of the Dragoon, I was oblivious over how to defeat the Dragon Staff. The dotHack games were really interesting and I never finished them either. It was a weird feeling playing a kind of simulation of MMO. I still get goosebumps whenever I see him do that virus hack.
i cant stand skyrim. the day i find a mod of it that gets every human out and make it kinda a monster hunter(wich i never played but like the concept) i'll be interested: the humans in elderscrolls are all blank faced mannequins liike lifeless shitty npcs. been the same for decades
Man this makes me think of all those games I've started and never finished. And it makes me think of all the games I haven't started, and others I don't have yet. Now it's making me think of my own mortality, all the games I'll never get to play, and what might happen to my games after I die. Now I'm sad
The Shenmue series! The Final Fantasy series! The dotHack series! The Zelda series! The Silent Hill series! The Elder Scroll series! The Fallout series! The Star Ocean series! The Lost Odyssey! Killer 7! No More Heroes 1 and 2! Too many! Never gonna have enough time! Won't live long enough! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
FF12, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 Golden, Shin Megami Tensai 4, Dragon quest 4-9, Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1&2, Kingdom Hearts 2, Resident Evil 4, Tales of Xillia 1&2, and Metal Gear Solid 2. MGS2 is the only one in the series I never finished. Zelda Majora's Mask, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword.
kirito5106 Didn't have much time to play games during Kingdom Hearts 2. As for Tales of Xillia I just got them on psn during a sale this summer and I have a huge backlog of games atm. I put like 20 hours into Xillia and I agree it is awsome. The characters are really funny. The combat could be better but I mostly play rpgs for story and characters anyway. It is on my long list of games to finish though.
oh ok cool well I hope you enjoy it but trust me it will get you hooked and you will want to go play all the other tales games can I recommend zestiria next its my favorite
I was trying so hard to remember the game Shadow Hearts recently (I'd forgotten the name) ... great story and humor, love the combat ... cutscenes were sooo long it was ridiculous tho'. Thanks to this episode for reminding me! I've only played Covenant, now to seek out the rest
OMG! Yes!!! The .hack series is on my list as well. Played through the first game and got about 20 hours into the second. I need to finish the entire thing. One day...
It took 20 years but I recently finished 2 games on my bucket list which were Sonic CD and Nights : Into Dreams. It took 20 years for me to finally play Sonic CD and being a huge fan, I was not disappointed :). It took 13 years for Nights and was also not disappointed. Love them both!
Xenoblade, Dragon Quest V, Skies of Arcadia, Breath of Fire 4, Sleeping Dogs, Final Fantasy XII (same as Johnny) Xenosaga Episode III, Ocarina of Time: Master Quest, Suikoden II, Way of the Samurai II (Still haven't gotten all the endings), Dragon Warrior VII. All of them are games that I am around 65-80% completed on, and just moved on to other titles, or real life issues sprang up. There are a lot more games on my backlog still, but these here are the ones that I simply MUST finish at some point.
Near enough every single game I own lol I'm renown with my friends for never completing games. I get like 10 or 20 hours I and another game calls out to me or a friend then says for me to play a game their playing (because of course they completed the game before). Ones particular for me are Final Fantasy 7 and 9 , the dragonquest series. Great video as always.
I played Secret of Mana 2 and that game was so hard near the end. The boss took me an hour and a half to beat... Games to finish: Breath of Fire 3, Parasite Eve, Wild Arms 2....been getting to the same spot in each and stopping for no reason.
Resident Evil 5 - At the final boss, but I put it aside and decide to upgrade all of my guns White Knight Chronicles - At the final stage, but I'm starting to lose all hope Deus Ex Human Revolution - It's big and I'm getting the strategy guide Red Dead Redemption - Decide to start all over
The first House of the Dead on an actual arcade machine! when I was a kid I used to play it at every chance I had and get absolutely obliterated, but i've always wanted to go back and find an original machine and give it another shot.
Great video for a relatable topic! I also need to finish Earthbound, but the big one for me is Majora's Mask. To this day it is the only mainline Zelda game I have not finished, once I've beaten it I will have the whole series done and dusted!
Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 13 (i finished 13-2 T^T"). Otogi 2 Immortal Warriors (well thats not that Hard). Final Fantasy 1. maybe some Original Xbox Games.
I have a pretty big backlog going back to the N64. Majora's Mask is a notable one, also about 8 Of the best GameCube games, a dozen Wii Games, a dozen PS2, 5 PS3, 5 Wii U, 3 DS, and 10 or so Virtual Console and PSN games (FFVI, FFVII, MGS, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Super Mario RPG etc.) that I really need to play. Back in the SNES days I played every new game to death, but games are just so big nowadays that I rarely properly finish one, so I've consigned myself to becoming more of a collector that plays a few games when I have time. Now if I could just win the lottery or marry a rich heiress, then I'd have enough time to clear my backlog.
Golden Axe would definetly be on my bucket list as I've been playing that game since 1990 and everytime I get to Death Adder I get my ass handed to me, so someday I want to be able to say "I beat Golden Axe".
During my senior year of college I compiled a huge list of games I had started but never finished, determined to beat them before I started my freshman year. I was able to finish all 21 over the course of 8 months, something I'm pretty proud of. Now I try to keep it to 2 at a time, lol. My current bucket list is to beat every final fantasy game, I've played so many of them but have only beaten IV and VII, currently on V now!
I thought I was the only one who had the thought process of "play this game before I die" with my collection I plan on playing it when I'm old if I live that long.
Koudelka was an awesome first entry to a really great series. I actually beat that one in which lead me into the shadow hearts series. The best and would love to see more from that universe
Vagrant Story.....that game haunts me. I am a RPG fanboy. I've finished 79 RPGs so far (yep, I keep count), but that one game I couldn't force myself to beat yet.
I LOVE the .hack series! I played through the first three of the original and could never get my hands on the fourth game because of it's price. I love the videos you post; you are definitely among my favorite channels even if you don't have a ton of subs. Keep up the good work!
I played Shadowgate on the NES back in the day & I never finished it. I downloaded an NES ROM on my phone recently & finally finished it. Not the best way to play a point & click game but I did it & really enjoyed it again.
Pikmin (never finished) Shenmue 1&2 (waiting impatiently) Half-Life 1&2 (never finished) Earthbound (never finished) Super Mario RPG (never finished) Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag (never finished) Super Mario World (never finished) Donkey Kong 64 (never finished) Pokemon Crystal, Emerald (I find it difficult to play) Bully (my sister beat the game before me) Skyrim (so many things to do) Dark Souls (I need time to get ready) The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt (my sister bought it but, we haven't get the chance to play it) The Legend of Zelda (I never finished it) Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Shaolin Monks (I never finished it) Bioshock (never finished) Bioshock Infinite (never finished)
Thor did it, but he's the only one so far. The trick is to leave a hole in the center on the second to last level then fill the hole to get the remaining lines needed to max out the game. Of course that's easier said than done.
Oh man I got sooo many games for this list, but I'll try to think of a few off the top of my head real quick. Persona 3, Grandia 1, the Jak & Daxter series, Lost Planet, Chrono Cross, and so many more
Zelda Wind Waker! I got up to the Wind Temple (you know, the one *just before Ganon's Tower*) and I got really stuck in one of the rooms. That is one I've got to finish on the GameCube. There are so many other titles though I need to complete...
A game we all know and love. Lunar: Silver Star Story. I beat Ghaleon. When I was climbing the stairs I didn't realize you could die from the fricken lasers. I did not save after I beat Ghaleon.
*every nintendo game ever published that has a translation (working on this as a lets play series, sorry if this is considered advertising) *every megaman game yeah I get distracted with other games easily
(1) Finish Blazing Angels 1 & 2- I suck at the controls when the throttle is on the right thumbstick and the main steering is on the left thumbstick (other choice is using the controller motion sensor for steering which is incredibly more difficult) (2) Play more shmups like DodonPachi and Ikaruga; never played 'em (3) Buy a Sega Saturn and get games for it; never played or owned one (4) Get an Xbox One to play Halo 5
Koudelka is fantastic! But let me warn you: When you get to the part where Koudelka finds the necklace she dropped in the beginning(I think you find it on a fountain) DO NOT GET RID OF IT!! You can not beat the game without it. That's right, they let you throw away an item required to beat the game.
Great episode! It´s a really good point you´re making akout bucket list games. I have so many of them and, as you point out, a lot of them are actually pretty good. You would think that there is a correlation to how good the game is, but that is not always the case. I have several titles of A-list games that is just sitting there...
As busy as we are now as adults, finishing a game is a huge accomplishment! Phantasy Star 4 haunts me. I'm stuck at the very same spot I was back in 95! lol Great topic:)
I have a lot of games that are on my bucket list, but I will only list off a couple. First is Kingdom Hearts, the first one. Got the game a couple years ago, probably back in 2006 or 2007, and I still never have finished. DarkSiders 2 still haunts me, and same for Dead Island.
It's funny that you mentioned the .hack series. I finished the first two games and then when i was ready to buy the third game (i was only a kid back then saving up lunch money/allowance for games) i could not find it anywhere. If i ever find the series on steam or PSN im buying them up, so good. Basically the main character is a boy playing an online game, so all the characters/combat in the game is part of that online game but it goes much deeper than that.
Tomb Raider Last Revelation haunts me to this day. I got it for christmas when it was new and never even touched it because I wanted to finish TR3 first, but TR3 was so damn hard I eventually moved onto other things.
Yes Johnny! As soon as I started watching I hoped that you would mention Policenauts! :) I'm sure you'll get around to finally finishing it. Its nothing short of amazing.
Really good question guys and really hard to answer, as the list could get very long. I really love RPGs but just don't get time to play them (why I also collect shoot em ups, as I can play those)! I constantly buy new ones, and they really stack up. I might put together a video of my favourite must plays later in the week.
Top 3 bucket list games: 3. Kirby's Adventure 2. Mario Sunshine 1. Zelda: Twilight Princess. All three of these games I loved playing but for some reason I didn't finish them.
Metal Gear Solid. I stopped after the first encounter with sniper wolf when you have to backtrack across the whole map. I got pissed off and decided to give it a week so it wouldn't feel so repetitive....big mistake. Now its been over 2 years lol. Ill have to start from the beginning someday :(
Wow! My backlist of games stretches all the way back to kindergarten (2000). My first bucket-list game was Mario Party 3. I unlocked all the Item Minigames, but I never even completed the actual boardgames. I want to go back to it, and maybe get the box and packaging to make it go higher in value. My second bucket-list of video games was Mario Party 4 on the Gamecube. Distracted by Melee, and the Starfox games.
pretty much every jrpg in the last 10-15 years
you didnt miss much except maybe persona? and tales games
MetalSonic1389 same.... just woke up from online game sickness looking to catch up on all the games ive missed
Well I'm a PC gamer and a sucker for Steam sales. I'd need to live a couple lifetimes to finish all of them completely.
yupp.. it can over saturate things at times but who can give up them sales
Same here haha =)
The Metal Gear Solid games. ALL of them, lol.
I've only beaten MGS4 lol. Got close to finishing 3 but I got stuck! :/
Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 6 (3) Final Fantasy 7 Final Fantasy 8, Earthbound (me too Rob Man) Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion,
Legend of Zelda Link to the Past, Lost Odyssey, Phantasy Star, Grandia 2, Super Mario RPG, and lot lots more.
Oblivion sucks though!
Did you finish them all?
Jesus that's a lot of 10 outta 10s you havent beat
My Bucket list is essentially my entire collection^^
I do have some games that I already started a while a go (some of tehm 15 Years ago) and *I still haven't finished by at least beating the main game:*
• Lost Vikings II ( SNES)
• Comix Zone (SMD)
• Super Adventure Rockman (PS1)
• Nightshade (PS2)
• Final Fantasy X (PS2)
• The Last Guardian (PS4)
• God of War - Ascension (PS4)

Just wondering if you're still gaming at 62?
The Batman Arkham series.
Devil May Cry series.
Mother 3 and Earthbound.
Bravely Default.
Final Fantasy VI.
Wild Arms.
The list goes on man.
I have quite a few... :
- Earthbound
- FFVI
- Shenmue I & II
- Lunar
- Super Mario RPG
- Chrono Trigger
Have you guys gone back and played/completed any of these games? :)
why the hell .//hack wasnt put into a collection on ps3 is beyond me
Don't know if you will read this, but your wish was granted in an even better form.
Legend of Zelda Majora's mask, I just can't get the groove for it, I think its amazing and I really want to finish it but I never have the patience to do so. And at one point I really wanted to beat a metal gear solid game, and I finally done that by beating MGS 3 in the hd collection on vita. And that game became one of my favorites of all time
legend of oasis, one of my all time favourites, great music!
My god... I've never seen Kouldelka mentioned anywhere before, I am the only person I know who's even heard of it!
If i don't play Half-Life 3 before i die man, i'm telling you...
I want to finish and of the games from the Mario and Luigi series on 3DS
iv never played any of the Final Fantasy games but now I really want too
8:53 epic robman reaction... you guys are funny! :D
Oh hell ya! That mention of the .hack games just made my day. Such an excellent obscure video game series.
Ocarina of Time, Shenmue. Love the games but have never finished them..... yet!
Yoite Especially Sega
my brother had a copy of .hack SIGN
it froze on a certain mission,
i bought a used ps2,
found a copy ANOTHER copy of the EXACT SAME GAME inside of the used ps2.
gave it to the bastard to let him finish his game...
It's funny how the Timewalk Games themselves are now collectables and getting expensive .. because they don't exist anymore >>> Sad Face
Legend of the Dragoon, I was oblivious over how to defeat the Dragon Staff. The dotHack games were really interesting and I never finished them either. It was a weird feeling playing a kind of simulation of MMO. I still get goosebumps whenever I see him do that virus hack.
Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts series, just because childhood nostalgia
Oh and maybe every game in the Tales of series
Beaten Kingdom Hearts as you said but only the 1.5 HD collection, but FFX is very long tedious cause the game take 40 to 50 hours to complete
Xenogears, Final Fantasy 8, Skyrim
*****
do u like ff9?
HELL YA! XENOGEARS!!! :D
***** those who loved 8 seem they didnt 9 vice versa
Skyrim = Greatest of all Time!!
i cant stand skyrim. the day i find a mod of it that gets every human out and make it kinda a monster hunter(wich i never played but like the concept) i'll be interested: the humans in elderscrolls are all blank faced mannequins liike lifeless shitty npcs. been the same for decades
Man this makes me think of all those games I've started and never finished.
And it makes me think of all the games I haven't started, and others I don't have yet.
Now it's making me think of my own mortality, all the games I'll never get to play, and what might happen to my games after I die.
Now I'm sad
The Legend of Dragoon. I got to the end of disc 3 way back in the day and got stuck. Really loved that game, I really gotta go back to it.
Xenogears
SaGA Frontier 2
Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, Bioshock Infinite, Mother 3, Loz: Skyward Sword, Skyrim.
The Shenmue series! The Final Fantasy series! The dotHack series! The Zelda series! The Silent Hill series! The Elder Scroll series! The Fallout series! The Star Ocean series! The Lost Odyssey! Killer 7! No More Heroes 1 and 2! Too many! Never gonna have enough time! Won't live long enough! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Fills you full of despair when you think about it that way, doesn't it?
FF12, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 Golden, Shin Megami Tensai 4, Dragon quest 4-9, Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1&2, Kingdom Hearts 2, Resident Evil 4, Tales of Xillia 1&2, and Metal Gear Solid 2. MGS2 is the only one in the series I never finished.
Zelda Majora's Mask, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword.
how come you haven't beat kingdom hearts 2 are tales of xillia yet there so good and some of my favorite games in the best games in there series
kirito5106 Didn't have much time to play games during Kingdom Hearts 2. As for Tales of Xillia I just got them on psn during a sale this summer and I have a huge backlog of games atm. In a way it's sometimes worse having got all the way to the final boss and quit before you beat them. Then you have to replay the WHOLE thing again.

Super Metroid I was to scared to touch it as a kid lol
I played Secret of Mana 2 and that game was so hard near the end. The boss took me an hour and a half to beat...
Games to finish: Breath of Fire 3, Parasite Eve, Wild Arms 2....been getting to the same spot in each and stopping for no reason.
Resident Evil 5 - At the final boss, but I put it aside and decide to upgrade all of my guns
White Knight Chronicles - At the final stage, but I'm starting to lose all hope
Deus Ex Human Revolution - It's big and I'm getting the strategy guide
Red Dead Redemption - Decide to start all over
The first House of the Dead on an actual arcade machine! when I was a kid I used to play it at every chance I had and get absolutely obliterated, but i've always wanted to go back and find an original machine and give it another shot.
One of the best line's ever in a video game
My buddy bought Earthbound for $20 brand new back in the day. It was one of his favorite games, he lent it to a friend and never seen it again.
Great video for a relatable topic! I also need to finish Earthbound, but the big one for me is Majora's Mask. To this day it is the only mainline Zelda game I have not finished, once I've beaten it I will have the whole series done and dusted!
Thanks for the Shadow Hearts love, Rob Man! One of my favorite JRPG series of all time :D
Final Fantasy 8. Kept dying at the paratrooper mini game. So I guess I died, bucketed in that game?
The two biggest games that have been haunting me for years and years that I never was able to finish are Dragon Quest VII and Earthbound.

My current bucket list is to beat every final fantasy game, I've played so many of them but have only beaten IV and VII, currently on V now!
Whoops, meant senior year of high school!
I know the feeling. Unfinished games have been piling up lately in my room.
I thought I was the only one who had the thought process of "play this game before I die" with my collection I plan on playing it when I'm old if I live that long.
Megaman 2,Megaman 3,Skyrim, Zelda Ocarina of Time, the classic sonic games(chaos emeralds), sonic adventure 2 and plenty more
WonderBoy 3, Dragon Age Ultimate, Buldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Mario 2013
Koudelka was an awesome first entry to a really great series. I actually beat that one in which lead me into the shadow hearts series. The best and would love to see more from that universe

nostalgia states names,
pro gamers say "all of them"
Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch, had to trade in my PS3 before I finished it. It still haunts me how much I need that game in my life.
I have too many games that I want to finish to count
A game we all know and love. Lunar: Silver Star Story. I beat Ghaleon. When I was climbing the stairs I didn't realize you could die from the fricken lasers. I did not save after I beat Ghaleon.
*every nintendo game ever published that has a translation (working on this as a lets play series, sorry if this is considered advertising)
*every megaman game
yeah I get distracted with other games easily
Since I was a kid I've played Link's Awakening multiple times. I always get to around the 5th temple, give or take, and then I stop.
I want to see a Renaissance of classic-style video games. The 16- and 32-bit eras were the greatest.
(1) Finish Blazing Angels 1 & 2- I suck at the controls when the throttle is on the right thumbstick and the main steering is on the left thumbstick (other choice is using the controller motion sensor for steering which is incredibly more difficult)
(2) Play more shmups like DodonPachi and Ikaruga; never played 'em
(3) Buy a Sega Saturn and get games for it; never played or owned one
(4) Get an Xbox One to play Halo 5
The entire Assassin's Creed series, own a lot of them, yet to start any of them
Koudelka is fantastic!
Front mission 1 and 3. Plaing thru 3 at the mo, amazing game :) pity the fan translation for 2 was never completed as far as i know
As busy as we are now as adults, finishing a game is a huge accomplishment!
Phantasy Star 4 haunts me. I'm stuck at the very same spot I was back in 95! lol
Great topic:)
I have far too many to list! I may not be hardcore collector, but I definitely have enough to be considered a serious backlog!
Tons of games.
Pretty much every single retro game i've ever liked and played but never been able to finish.
Also Battletoads.
I have a lot of games that are on my bucket list, but I will only list off a couple. First is Kingdom Hearts, the first one. Got the game a couple years ago, probably back in 2006 or 2007, and I still never have finished. DarkSiders 2 still haunts me, and same for Dead Island.
Totally agree on Xenosaga and Fatal Frame.
My bucket list game is definitely Earthbound, because I have heard so much praise from so many people
I have a huge bucket list. Specifically for my PS3. I have only beaten about half the games I have for that.
flare4488 same. I'm horrible finishing games
Sometimes I take it off around the house as I am scared of losing it, I always wear it out.
Beyond Oasis(The Story of Thor) is one of my favourite games of all time :) I've almost finished it on Sega Genesis :)
Final Fantasy VII, Crash Bandicoot 3 (I know it's only short but I keep restarting it), Agent Armstrong and Oddworld Abe's Oddesey.
Yes Johnny! As soon as I started watching I hoped that you would mention Policenauts! :)
I'm sure you'll get around to finally finishing it.
Chrono Trigger, Knights in the Nightmare, Radiant Historia, and all of the Disgaea games.
Banjo-Tooie. I've technically beat it a few times, but never 100%. There's one Jiggy that is nearly impossible for me to get.
Ill have to start from the beginning someday :(
Okami, every time I get back into it, something always pulls me away, that and chrono trigger.
OMG! I have all the .//HACK games....they are great. Finished all of em. It was a great series.
God of war 3 number 2 had a huge cliffhanger literally. But I ended up getting x box 360 instead of a ps3.
