    Wow, this is such an exciting planting! I am still a little worried about the ficus roots pulling the temple apart, but I guess that is part of the natural progression of the full scale inspiration as well. This will be a great series to follow "in to the far future ".

Still catching tidbits though happy to see your progress never stops, glad you are well sir! Totally awesome, it really gets you the right vibe from south-east Asia. Can see the potential difficulties, as you pointed out, about the growth of the roots and get too thick.. Guess you have to prune them heavily now and then and replace older roots with newer ?

    Those roots in front of the entrance are pretty wild. And, as you said earlier in the video, you should be aware of the thickness in the future. Could you still move them to the left? So theý'll have more space and the entrance will be accentuated with the 'curtains'? Or is that something that could be left for repotting? I love your stuff btw. First comment ever, but I'm a viewer for 6 years.

    Hi nigel.temple coming along well. Question. When defoliating if there is a partiality formed, kinda still rolled up, leaf at the end of a branch do you remove or keep them?

    Hello Nigel, my old friend! How’s bonsai? I read your comment on another video about the tree loss, so sad to hear! My channel name used to be Scottish Bonsai, it may sound familiar? I lost a lot about 7 years ago or so and it’s taken until now to restart. Now I have a new home and a massive new garden in full sun all afternoon, but I’m back! I remember when you started the channel and when you actually created this bonsai! How are your Scots pine and larch forest? Did they make it? I lost mine and a couple of junipers and tridents! 65 years old! Scottish weather, but it’s all changing here, nothing like it’s been before! I have had a hornbeam and Scots pine in training pots since the start of your channel, they are some size now, thick way! Scots needs a good styling and I’m thinking of chopping right down, I see a nice tree low down now! Anyway, I will be watching again now that I’m back! Try to get some views back up!

    : Ficus roots grow thick and strong....
    What I fear in a temple structure, is that if any one of the roots crawl into the structure, and grows within, the temple might crumble then....😅
    It'll look beautiful in a way but the structure wont be like you wanted it to be.

    Do you use only grow light to grow it or do you keep it under sun? And which fertilizer you use and how often do you use them? What are the watering frequency?

    • @Thimbrethil
      @Thimbrethil Před 2 měsíci

      Fertilizer is 50:50:50, tiny pinch with every watering, during summer watering depends on how fast soil dries out. It can be from 2 to 4-5 times a day with small pots i believe.
