It's ironic that the Sonic.exe mod's old concepts are strangely "cursed" or creepy in a way that they could fit with the early "Round 2 updates" and looked back upon as "classics" and nostalgic, but were never used and replaced by something more "clean" and "streamlined".
Like, these concepts could've been part of a Sonic.exe mod created during the early days of Newgrounds (if FNF had come out during that time) and fit the artstyle as well of early internet flash and content, around the craze of Sonic.exe's creation...
Even the old Execution, old versions of Fate, and old Triple Trouble sound even darker and creepier and unnaturally "2000s-2010's creepypasta", like Sonic.exe felt to us children back then....

Fun fact: Before triple trouble had diffrent sections for every character it was supposed to be like the characters we're from 3 sides. If I were to guess then Tails would be on the left, Knuckles on the right, and Eggman would face front.
According to an interview Metatera had with RightBurst, originally it was supposed to be like this:
