- The "Boat Bar" is a fabulous place for 'live music'...never a cover charge!! Come and listen to the music or join in, like this young lady from Montreal did. She has her own band in Quebec, but had never played reggae before...this is her first time...take a listen! Not bad! eh!!

Well done to this young lady and to the band for encouraging her. When I see videos like this, It really drives home how screwed up this world is; why can't we all live in peace and harmony regardless of our differences?
Legalize weed world wide
That bit of helping hand the older gentleman gives her at the beginning, showing her "the drop" beat. Wow, that warmed my heart, reminding me that the love of music knows no color, no religion, no sex. And for having never played reggae, she picks it up pretty fast, throwing in some nice fills and never letting fear of the unknown or the unexplored get in her way. Just amazing. This restores my faith in humanity.
Reggae music brings all kinds of people together. Reggae music will set the world free
REGGAE is one of most difficult rhythm to play, all those Caribbean music are very Intricate, but this Young lady Nailed pretty well, Congrats to the BAND to allow her to play with them.
If this is her first time; absolutely brilliant. As a drummer in his 70s when I had to learn some reggae licks, (when we had coach and horses) I had time to rehearse and listen to a load of people before being able to play in front of an audience. Go girl!
She has it. She is natural, smiling, her eyes are following the other musicians! Well done girl!
"One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain" Bob Marley
Great drummer and amazing trumpet
Drummer girl has my respect. Reggae drum is tough, and you see the bass man dancing giving her props because she banged It out! Rocksteady!
That roll at 5:15... that's it!
Rocksteady Riddim
Excellently done for her first time playing with a reggae band... No rehearsal. Give her nuff props.
The kid is not only good looking kid she is obviously talented and seems to have a nice personality. I wish her well in her future.
The only genre of music where you can have band practice and a live show at the same time.
The perfect rocksteady roll at 5:15 :)
This is awesome! She's definitely got it.
Love her modesty and shyness near the end, when the guys break down to give her some space to shine on her own in a solo! She simply keeps in rythm and has no clue whats happening but just keeps loyal to the group as a whole! Its the little things.....
Takes guts just to sit in with a band, and then pick up an unfamiliar beat on the spot!! She maintained her composure, worked her way thru,
The cutest female drummer I ever seen. A salute from Argentina- Reggae Roots Rocks!
She"s GREAT ! Good parents , good talented young lady , great times , great holiday ! Love this jam ! Cheers from Montreal
As a father of a young drummer daughter I can say that I'm so proud of this young woman and really proud of her dad and mom for their support. This is really heart touching, nice listening and super cool! There is no reason to critique the drumming at all. She obviously can play!
more than glad reading your comment . no words for further comments .in two and half lines ,you covered all. indeed enjoy watching her ,she is so suit ,she express her soul .my compliments to her and to her Dad (all the boys we know that the relation of the dad and his daughter is incredible ,some times ,make also the groom to feel jealous) and to her mother .buon weekend to all people here - in the music we trust
I understand the sentiment, but where does your pride come from? What effort have you expended to earn pride from their achievement?
ur an idiot that girl is scared

@@chadf25 terrified, as a frustrated musician , I know.
When you see this live and go home, you know you just simply have to go back to Jamaica and soak up that ambience!
That young lady did her parents proud.
Reggae is no joker’s music. She stole the show.
GREAT amazing video indeed. The band is so GOOD and the girl is mind blowing at the drums for her first time reggae 🔥❤
Reggae drums. A different kind of animal. She picked it up fast. She is a natural and a looker.
Reggae style is inclusive,Global. Like Truth
I think she is break-my-heart beautiful, and has a musical soul. If I was 50 years younger ........ ..........!!

@@elconquistador98 A reggae drum style beat.
Classic mahn. When Rasta's make music, they are happy and always a smilin. Thanks to Bob and all the Jamaican boys for introducing this planet to Reggae. Respect.
Sorry, Bob Marley did NOT introduce this planet to reggae music. Where were you in the sixties and early seventies?

Great job guy's,, especially you young lady,, thank you for brightening up my night,, peace n love xx
It takes a lot of nerve to get up there to jam with anyone, even if you have years of experience - so she pulled off the double whammy by stepping up to the challenge AND gaining the band's respect playing to material she's probably never heard before. Excellent!
REAL Musicians are like that, I started as a nosey kid of ten during the WW2 Period asked questions, listened intently to Great Men such as Baby Dodds, Gene Krupa, Sammy Penn, Albert Jiles and others, years later I had several bands playing Strict Tempo Dance, New Orleans style Jazz, Latin and Rock 'n'Roll,,all thanks to those patient professional men.never met a grumpy Muso in all my time. The ones I actually met were always encouraging, I'm sure this 'tradition' still applies
. Terry Offord
Terry Offord I have met a grumpy muso she was classically trained in violinist and I called her the the dragon lady. But I must agree most are very patient
Trucker jim
Lovin that Lil Drummer girl yea . Thanks for the video
Isn't she awesome. I have never been anywhere in the world more friendly, more welcoming than Negril.
I couldn't stop listening to them all...reggae is my heart.thank u so much for sharing...jah jah
This young lady is IN the reggae groovie better than many professional drummers I have heard ! His light, lively style suits fine with the traditional GOOD style these fine Jamaican gentlemen have.
You don't have money to pay for a moment like this. where I see a drum set I want to play, even more if it's at the reggae house
thank you guys for sharing a piece of pure happyness in our mad world!! :-)
Great drumming. Great band. Fantastic song. Love the singing and harmony too. Thankyou for entertaining me. Thankyou for the song.
great job, love jamaica, she has perfected the one drop!
Wow! She keep the reggae beat very well..and sooo cute!!
Wow, so beautiful to see this :) And she can playyyyyy, man! She has the beat in her :) Don't stop growing, young lady! Keep inspiring us drummers all over the world :)
I love it. Great work on the camera and on the drums! It's like being there!
To Ju Li: she plays drums for 2 bands in Montreal, but never to reggae beat until this very moment I recorded her...you say never? Well you are wrong. Never say never!
I confess, She''s a mermaid playing drums!
+'Toronto Live Music Scene' not seems to be the first time!! excellent!! and i'm a reggae drummr !!
'
Toronto Live Music Scene'
A different title would not make it seem such an unbelievable lie would be appropriate, in six years you should have fixed this
NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE relax, grandpa! go get your midol and sleep it off :-)

I bet that was fun!! She did well. With thoughts of Marley and Lucky Dube (RIP).

"My, but what very proud parent's she must have too. Along, with that pretty smile of hers too..."
This girl is so beautiful. Making her parents so proud, gaining so much from this experience i bet. Nuff respect drummer girl, and big ups to the fellas letting her sit in
I Love Jamaica, always great music and people😊
Mostrou personalidade e conseguiu acompanhar os caras parabéns 🇧🇷
She really holding the beat down went off maybe two times but nothing big. Love it
NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE let’s see you play.
NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE nahhhhhhhhhh she is quite good.Everyone has a genious withing.Maybe you haven't found yours.
Love her confidence. Nice job!
A true humble lioness... Irie !
Music should be fun & she made it fun so it's good music.
The fact she's a looker is a nice bonus too : )
NORMALIZATION OF IGNORANCE Go shit in your hand and make a fist.
She's doing great!
Thank you for taking me back to the boat bar where I have been many of times. :) Reggae as a career
She is very good: plays with rhythm and soul. Her technique is very good with the reggae breaks and intros and is obviously familiar with reggae and probably had practiced with recordings although had never played this genre with a band. She possesses a good natural drumming feel and mentality.
Tuning into her skills, playing in time
Making everyone feel please
Doing her thing with ease
Playing drums, probadly thinking about
rice chicken, and gungo peas
Whilst playing in the island breeze
Poetry: Yeah, Mon! Selassie.
Owen Dale
Please don't say 'whilst' anymore.
Mikus: _Whilst_ is a classic, poetic word and gives the stanza colour. It is the word _probadly_ which would be probably good to eliminate.
eddyvideostar
Reggae + classical poetry? Very well.
just be glad he didn't say if'n
Hell yeah she picked up the style very quickly!
Awesome groove, awesome music and an awesome drummer. Love that the band let her sit in on those songs. She is a natural. You can tell she loves drumming and see the joy on her face. Hope she's still drumming.
Yeah she defo still is, check her out here czcams.com/video/Dpu0b5hRtQE/video.html
Had a big grin on my face watching this young lady enjoy life.
I'm in love
you like his mustache, eh?

I love reggae! The style is so relaxing and it's so fun to play! This is a awesome video. Very skilled to keep the rhythm intertwined with the song.l!
Ehren: I call this real reggae or syncopated reggae. This style is unique to the Jamaican culture which the world can relate to. The new hip-hop or dance-hall is just a rock/calypso beat (I like calypso) where they just toast or rap over. Too much noise and slackness.
What a beautiful experience playing in Jamaica👏👏😀🎤🎵🎹🌴👌😎💃👍
Pretty catchy beat for first time reggae response give that Aire feel when all in sync keeping that mallow mood alive for sure thank you for uploading.
Drums should enhance the other instruments and song by keeping the beat, and she is doing that! Good job drum girl!
Georgous lady, great drummer, nice band!!!
Alan: Great for the occasion. You are right.
That's what real musicians does. And she's one of them.
She done well...she followed him cuz she young. The beat drives. Kudos sister. Blessings
I feel the vibe's in the second song
good jam!
Great Job kiddo! Love TO you and Your Dad. God Bless You Both! JAH, Will PROVIDE!
The band is amazing - loved everything about this ! The only thing is the microphone sound could be turned up a bit but, beautiful ! To the young lady, life is about memories - this is so wholesome ! Cheers !
This is pretty good for a first time ! Reggae is hard to play when you're not used to
Laurent: She must be familiar with the reggae genre. It is massive in Toronto and for someone who is in two bands, indicating polish, this would pose no problem for her.
pretty good. good one drop beat.
I realy love watching and listening this a drumer girl
Shes young and talented
Well done domino. nailed it....grooooovey

I want to go there! That's paradise!
Vassilis: Paradise: It should be, but... Do your research, ask around, communicate before you commit. Certain aspects you need to be aware of prior. The more you toil, the more you will enjoy.
just avoid paradise during hurricane season
Ever heard of a song called safe european home.. look it up.
I hope my two girls pick up the drums from me. their 7 and 4 right now and don't show too much interest yet. I Just remember when I was young playing all the times I could whenever I'd get the chance.
Derek: Expose them to many instruments and genres along with using the CZcams videos in order for them to choose what they would desire musically. Think of this as a hobby of joy for them so as not to put undue pressure.
That came together very well. Nice 1!!
She's got it. I started out the same way. Great encouragement!
her name is Domino and she plays in band called The Pilots...out of Montreal
just checked em out super smokin ;) Good on you
How call her mother?
Is Dad the guy from Weekend at Bernies???
Brody hilarious
I was going to say he looked like Rocky Rocco but unless your from Wisconsin you would have no idea who I'm talking about.
hahaha that's what I thought too
We all grow old, bruh.
Brybry Stevens Rocky's pizza is so good! I wish Rocky's was nationwide so people could have it as well
