By far the most comprehensive install guide
Thank you for the support last night. I can’t believe how easy it was once I saw the snap connector. Finished installing the backup camera kit and I am very satisfied with the finished product. Total install time was about 4 hours. I saw your installation video and that helped a lot. There were a couple of steps where I got stuck for a while like pulling the trim around the display, reinserting the rubber boots in the tailgate and fitting the stereo with the additional quad connector installed.
My only regret is not buying this retrofit kit years ago. I wish I would have found it earlier.

Hi, great video. I have the same unit for my A3 e-tron 2015 in the UK, but I can’t get the jumper pins correct (tried all the ones in the manual) so I just get a blank screen when I hold the media button. Can you help?
Might have connected the lvds cable to the wrong plug as it's different depending on vehicle spec (mib high vs standard)

Purchase an Audi AMI Aux adaptor and connect it in your centre console. Leave the other end disconnected.

Hi, could you help please. I’m in UK. My car has front+back parking sensors, is it possible to add reverse camera to this system to work with OEM. It puts up a fake screen, which doesn’t look nice.

Check if the antenna is placed in the correct place. Restart your phone, Reboot the interface unit.

If my car already has a microphone in the car (factory installed) which was used for phone calls, will this work with apple CarPlay or will a seperate microphone need to be run?
Depends on the car model. In most cases you don’t need to install second mic. For B9 models with MMI 3G and MIB radios it’s not required additional mic installation

What if you have 2 mmi’s? One for back up and one for carplay
No need for that. One unit with CarPlay is enough as it provides both.

got no audio on a3 2015!!
Just installed in my Audi A3 and the screen is doubled. Any advice. When in the Audi mmi it’s fine but when I switch to CarPlay it’s doubled. Any help would be appreciated.
Check DIP settings. Must be correct for your car model and year.

@@thetruth6992 yes. It plugs into the aux jack in the center console. That’s what triggers the system when you hold down the media toggle.

Could you point out why my Audio calls sound extremely bad
You can adjust mic settings in the CarPlay interface menu. If the sound is still bad you may need an additional aftermarket mic.

you selected the wrong DIP settings, wrong resolution. Refer to the PDF installation guide for correct settings.
