so i’m getting the external audio source active message, but when i hold media button for 3 seconds it doesn’t do anything
Quick question, where can i plug the reverse camera for this interphase. I am legit curious about it. I have never seen where it gets plugged
Recently whenever I hold the media button it won’t take me to CarPlay but it would still connect to my phone

Might as well rebuild car while at it. I forgot what product was being installed.
After plugging everything in the screen says external audio source but the media button does not switch it to CarPlay

How does the Carplay know that it should show the camera? you used the triger line to get 12v to the cam? where is the trigger signal now coming from??
in automatic transmission cars, there is a CAN bus signal saying this is happening. In manual transmission cars, you have to use the additional optional wire like in the instructions
I am unable to find an external audio source with AMI and therefore can’t get audio from the CarPlay system. AMI/AUX connector is installed but I’m not getting any option for AUX or external audio source to be selected from media/source. Any idea why?

Hi, thanks for the great video. Very helpful. But one problem is that after I install the backup camera on the trunk. I cannot open the trunk through handle manually. I don't know why this happens? Any suggestions to solve this problem?
You have not connected the power plug to the handle properly, Reconnect the connector.

At the end you say connect the phone with USB for the first time, but my Audi A5 with concert doesn’t have a USB input. What can I do?
You must connect the phone to our system, not to the car.

@@iiChiLLL No, but i found a solution. if you have a bluetooth reciever, (I have a INVERT Device) keep it plugged in the box just remember to swifch to carplay as audio input on ur phone

Hi, I installed this kit in my 2014 Q5. My LCD screen will only come on when using backup camera. The radio still plays but the screen is black. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hey, did you fix this issue? I finished installing the kit on my 2016 A4, CarPlay works fine but I cannot see the OEM system display. The radio plays but the screen is black just like you said.

why install the 2nd microphone? doesn't this kit allow you to use the original Audi one?
Per our experience, installing a second mic provides much better sound quality.

@@CarsGadget hey, is the new mic noise canceling? My 2014 q5 OEM mic picks up all kinds of road noise and people say it sounds far away. My 2022 audi, people can’t tell I’m in the car and sounds like I’m sitting next to them due to modern mics.
Can you let me know how much improvement the new mic is and how close it is to a modern 2022 audi mic?
