White sangria with the frozen peaches!
Thanks for brightening up my Friday night! Love that you're so thorough with reviewing the products even if you can't try them yourself and that you show us the ingredients and nutrition facts.
The closest Trader Joe's is 2 hours away from me. So when I go, I buy things I think I would like. Try them out, so next time I can stock up
Same here!! 2 hour trek can only happen every month or so - this info Katie brings helps so much!!
I’m fortunate! 20 minutes away! Definitely love my TJs!
I travel 3 hours each way to get to my closest TJs, which breaks my heart as it is my favorite place to shop.
@@AsianPoshDorene omg your so lucky
I'm lucky that I'm about 20 minutes away from four different Trader Joe's stores. San Diego must be TJ's central.
Frozen peaches makes an excellent peach cobbler!
Yes, please try the diamond red! Thank you!
Can’t wait for this taste test. Those apricots look delicious. I love dried apricots. I like when they’re soft not real hard.
White (dry) vermouth is great for braising and deglazing. It lasts a long time in the fridge. Longer than white wine for me. I haven't tried it in pasta/fish sauces, but regularly use it for pork chops and chicken.
Try using a potato masher for whole tomatoes if using your hands isn't appealing. Careful to avoid the squirt!
We use the frozen freestone peaches for peach pie, cobbler & use in salads
Katie, I love your channel and your taste tests! Our nearest trader Joe's is about an hour and 15 minutes one way. Because of this, we only go about every 3 minths. Your channel is so very helpful to me, so thank you very much!!!
@@krm223 Same here.. don't get to go as often as I would like!
Peach cobbler comes in mind !! Yum 😋
Hi Katie! Thanks as always for what you do. FYI: on Wednesdays Sprouts has $5 sushi. They are make it fresh all day in the Deli area. The Veggie one is great!
Yes Tim gets the sushi from sprouts anytime I shop on Wednesday. Such a great deal and way better than the TJ’s version!
Love that you shop three stores to make your best pico😅. IYKYK, right?
Yes and save money too!
Love your channel and your review. Whats the name of the song in your introduction. Love it. ❤
The diamond reserve??? What an awesome find, Katie! I'd love it if you and Tim try it for the taste test but honestly I'm going to run out right now and see if my store has it. See you in the taste test 😊
I was shook when I saw it!
That vegie stir-fry mix hits the spot for me. I love bok choy. I get the baby bok choy and steam it like I do most vegies. Interested in the apricot/cardamon spread. The cardamon will cut the sweetness of the apricots. Don't think I've had sundried apricots since I was a child. Used to spend some of my 1950s childhood summers in the Santa Clara Valley, which was all apricot orchards. They would lay out the 'cots to dry on pallets. All gone now and the Valley is now called Silicon Valley.
I miss your “what I eat in a day” videos or maybe you can do a video of what foods Tim packs for work? I’m curious how you prepare the items you buy in your hauls. I never know what to do with the new fun items I get at TJs.
Shopped at TJs today and saw the 19 crimes Martha Stewart on the shelf with no price posted. When I asked the cashier to check to price his eyes bugged out at the $1.99 price.said I’d get another bottle and be right back. lol. I also picked up up two bottles of the diamond reserve cab..so I have a nice range to try. Thanks for the recommendations.
make ice tea to beat the heat
The new crispy rice cakes with mango are delicious too!
I LOVE dried apricots! I don't dare buy a big as I could easily just gobble up the whole thing right away.
Yay bought the Marzanos today as well!
The apricots sound sooh good!
I need to grab those mango sticky rice cakes!
Have fun in NYC
Those donut nectarines are so so so so so good
TJ’s has had peaches before. They are really good with cottage cheese or in a salsa too.
Yes! Please TT the Cabernet Sauvignon! 🍷
I was intrigued by the mango sticky rice crisps, but figured I'd wait to see what you guys thought before buying it. I'm going to venture to say that you probably liked the Dark Chocolate Dipped French Butter Cookies. I took my niece and nephew to TJ's the other day, and they talked me into buying them some. They shared one with me, and they were good. Can't wait to hear how your tomato sauce turns out.
I drink iced tea all day..try it..brew the tea strong then add tons of ice and lemon etc 😊
I will have to get to Trader Joe’s this week😀
I'm thrilled to see a new olive oil! The Kalamazoo olive oil they used to sell is no more, amd that was my favorite one. I was told they were looking for a new supplier. So I'll definitely be purchasing the one in this haul, especially since it's only from one country! That usually means it's a better quality. Hopefully, this one is good!
What about stir-frying the veggies with the new yuzu miso you picked up last week? Would love to hear your thoughts on the combo!
Girl, I tried Kimmap this week! I love it!
oooh i like stir fry and this comes with bok choy, i'd add tofu to mine if i made a stir fry with it. i'll have to get that next time i go!
I have never heard of donut nectarines....have to try them.
I just made the best homemade pesto too! Love adding in arugula and pistachios to it!
Shockingly my store had the bubble waffles from last week (?) in stock and I am sadly obsessed. This is not something I need to know about! 😂😂
Katie, thanks for your haul and honest reviews! The jicama slaw should be full, in my book, to warrant that size container. I always enjoy hearing what you have to say about the beer and wine at this store since they offer a variety of products. I am looking forward to the taste test! BTW, I hope you and Tim enjoy your upcoming trip together!
I see sooooo many things I’d like to run down to Trader Joe’s and buy but my wallet doesn’t approve yet😢
Katie! You have to try the Aglio e olio seasoning on your avocado toast, it’s amazing!
Make sure you remove the “strings” on the snow peas.
I visited my store very early this morning in order to avoid the worst of the heat, and had the same reaction to the new Jicama slaw. I was all excited until I picked it up. Not only did it look & feel half full, but the veggies looked so sad, that I actually turned the carton around to make sure it wasn't somehow outdated!
I chose to put it back on the shelf. I hope it tastes better than it looks!
Oh man, this really hits home for me. I hope you watch the taste test tomorrow. You will understand just how bad the quality is!
Watched. Omg. I live in LA, so it looks like the entire shipment must have been ruined! Yikes. How could no-one have noticed? 🤷
Anything you eat that is pitted can always have a pit or piece of pit...Always proceed with caution....
The mango sticky rice sounds nice! I’ve had TJ sushi rolls years ago but honestly don’t remember their taste
Looking forward to the dark choc dipped French butter cookies. I recently got a new coffee grinder so I can start buying the TJ's whole bean coffees again. I haven't had a bad one yet.
Thank you so much for sharing.❤
I bought the California Roll it was good
Love your wine selections. Going to check it out in my store. I also like the apricot cardamom spread. Spicy
Bok choy is excellent. Try grilling the whole leaves w whatever marinade 😻
A dirty martini is my #1 favorite cocktail 🫒
Looking forward to reviews. 😊
I’m interested in the canned whole peeled tomatoes!
Question: why do you buy your onions at Sprouts and not TJ’s?
If you like olives in your martini try getting it “dirty “.❤
Sprouts sells “rescue” organic produce. So I get a big bag of organic onions from sprouts for $2.99. Best price in town!
Dirty martinis 🫒 are the BEST!!!
Where are the Patio Chips this year?
You almost got the pronunciation of Bahia right. Only the 'hi' is pronounced 'ee'🙂
I’ve been. Using crudeness peach slices from TJ’s for years for my smoothies. Looks like they changed suppliers since the packaging is different.
Yep I think they did.
Great information
I’m familiar with donut peaches 🍩 🍑 but not nectarines
I just drove 2 hours to a TJ that sells alcohol so please open the wine!
Great Finds!
Those sushi rolls are not worth a dime. Very disappointing. I hope they get rid of them for something else in the Fresh section.
Tim didn’t like them. They were sweet and when he looked on the back there’s tons of added sugar.
@@KatieHespe Yeah. I expected way better from TJ's. I tried the both. They both gotta go. They aren't really selling at my store. Once people taste them they dont re up.
They weren't very good the first time. I think TJ's should give up on sushi rolls. The beet sushi (or sashimi or nigri or whatever) was pretty weird too.
How sad😢
So many good things to try. I don’t know what I’m more excited about, the mango rice crisp or the sun dried apricots. I bet the new Assam Golden black tea would be good as a sun tea. Curious about the veggie roll, didn’t they come out with a similar product last year that was a little pricey? I can tell this your taste test will be fantastic
You may be thinking of the veggie spring rolls. Those are pricey for sure!
@@KatieHespe You are right. Thank you for refreshing my memory 😊
Here in NY they don't sell wine in our Trader Joe's. Only beer. It's a law of some kind. Wish they had the wine!
Packaging packaging packaging - tomatoes? Nectarines? Ugh.
The tea and coffee packaging is very festive and would make great gifts!
I'm voting for the Zinfadel for the taste test.
Maybe that jicama container just didn't fill well
Are you not doing Aldi anymore?
I did one last week! I just got hot dog buns this week. Sometimes I just don’t need enough stuff for a haul from Aldi.
😂"... sniffing my arm while I'm eating.."😂 Curious..Do you not imitation crab? Isn't it vegetarian?😕 Also, I keep forgetting to say that you have the greatest laugh - like when you laugh during your taste tests with Tim💕
Imitation crab is made from fish
Right, it's made from fish - Pollock (sp?).
Unfortunately imitation crab is still made from fish. Tim wasn’t a big fan anyway so don’t waste your money!
No (pine) nuts in your pesto? I have never seen donut nectarine around where I am so I’m hoping it’s in my store!! Love the stone fruits in season. BTW, Crete is not pronounced Crate but more like Crit
I always use pine nuts! I just get the giant bag from Costco and it usually lasts me about a year. I keep it refrigerated per the instructions on the bag.
Chardonnays should never be sweet yucky 😢
Turn the peaches into a bbq sauce.
Isn't the imitation crab meat version "vegetarian" based?
Imitation crab is usually made with fish
No, it still is made with Alaskan pollock.
Oh ok. Thanks
If you love vegetarian sushi, those are the easiest to make yourself for basically free.
You eat eggs?? I thought you were vegan? 😂
No, I’ve never been vegan
Oh ok 😁
I went today after work, did t get to go last week so I had a big haul. So excited too tory all the things. We did tory get the sushi yet but I remember those days and will be looking out. Hugs friend Elissa modesto cali @elissa_tc
Don’t get the sushi! I’m glad you didn’t get it.
