    Thank you so much. I am in a college course STATS 146 online class, I watch your videos before I watch my professor's. If I do not nothing makes sense to me. I appreciate how you explain these mathematical procedures. This coming from someone who has not been in school for over 20yrs! until I found your channel I was LOST!

    Though this is from 5 years ago, it is by far the best I have seen. AND it helped me soooo much to do my H.W. 100% score !! Many of the others were too confusing.

    Omg literally every video you make is a life saver!!!! You should be a teacher.. I'm taking online statistics....because of covid.... and we have no teacher interaction at all. We basically have to teach all this on our own... and if it wast for you I don't know how I would survive this course.

    Does your regular Ti-84 Plus CE have the "LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT" Tail options under the Inverse Norm function, or is this only an option available on the Ti-84 Plus CE EMULATOR you are using in this video?

    • @MathandStatsHelp

    What if the area shaded does not fall evenly like that? For example, what if the area all falls to the right of the mean? Those two outer areas would not be equal?

    What if you have a percentage to the right of the distribution?

    • @MathandStatsHelp
      @MathandStatsHelp  Před rokem

      First convert the percentage to a decimal. For example, 25% would be 0.25. You convert by dividing by 100. Depending on your calculator, if it allows the Left, Center, Right options, then put the area as 0.25 and select Right. If it doesn't have those options, you need the area to the left of the Z-score. Do 1- area to the right to find the area to the left.

    Can there be a case in which for finding the middle area, that the outer areas of the z-scores are not equal? Because you did 86% in the direct middle, therefore the outer two areas had to be identical, what if they're not though, like left z-score area is bigger/smaller than right z-score area

    • @MathandStatsHelp
      @MathandStatsHelp  Před 5 lety

      Typically, they won't give the area and want you to find the z-scores for uncentered data. It could happen yes, but generally speaking when they ask you to find -z and z they want it centered. It is preparing you for confidence intervals and hypothesis tests to find critical values.

      @@dulcevega5004 Did you make sure to convert the area to a decimal? The area has to be between 0 and 1. You might also have something in the background causing issues. Sometimes, I find if students clear their RAM, it helps with other issues. It's hard to help without seeing the issue. To clear the RAM hit 2nd followed by + choose option 7 then 1 then 2.
