  • Welcome to "Master the Standard Z-Score: A Comprehensive Tutorial", where we make complex statistical concepts accessible to everyone. This video aims to break down the concept of the Standard Z-Score, a fundamental tool in statistics, into simple, understandable parts.
    Have you ever wondered how to compare data points from different datasets? Or how to understand if a score is outstanding or just average? The Z-Score is the answer! By standardizing scores in a distribution, the Z-Score allows for comparisons across different scales, measurements, and datasets.
    Through this tutorial, we will explain what a Standard Z-Score is, why it's so crucial in the field of statistics, and most importantly, how to calculate it. We will guide you through step-by-step examples, ensuring you gain a robust understanding of the process. Moreover, we'll provide tips on when and why you should use this statistical measure.
    Whether you're a student, an aspiring data analyst, or someone with a keen interest in statistics, this tutorial is designed to boost your statistical skills and make you comfortable with data interpretation. Remember, statistics doesn't have to be daunting. It's just a different language for understanding the world, and we're here to help you learn it!.

    Thank you so much. My Professor isn't teaching he's just throwing out reading assignments. I need to be taught and you accomplished that task. I haven't done college level math in 30 years. So today I purchased your course.

    I am puzzled about what would be the Z score to get 100% of the data ...like 3 std deviaions away i.e between z= 3 and z= -3 we have 99.7 % of data as per Empirical rule ...but at what value of z score we get 100% of the data ??

    Nice lecture! BTW at 3:22 you said a 'good' Z score means the data lies on the tails of the 'normal/bell' curve. I could not understand this. Please guide. Thanks.

    • @zalida100
      @zalida100 Před rokem

      Good Z score means 2 or 3 + std dev above the mean. The "tails" are the extreme high or low values on the bell curve, either side of the mean value.
