Interesting design! I've all but abandoned carrying cash, but I definitely see this new piece bridging the gap for a lot of people who couldn't get into the minimalist card-focused wallets Trayvax has to offer.
I got almost all of trayvax wallets. They are all very good. But the AXIS .... hands down for me, their best. It's a shame they stopped producing it.
Just received a black one today in the mail. Very nice quality wallet. Awesome it’s made in the USA about 50 miles from me. I’ve had a tri-fold leather wallet for the last 12 years so I decided to upgrade. Glad I did.
I’ve had an ascent for years now and this new one looks solid but my ascent is still perfect (with nice patina) so it’s hard to replace it! Trayvax products are top notch.
I own the contour and element, and convinced my Boss to gift the contour to 12 lucky employees of the month 😂 love my contour wallet and belts 😊
This looks pretty cool! One of the main reasons I've hesitated to buy a Trayvax wallet is because of how cash is held. I think I'm going to pick one of these up once they release it with the black metal color.
Right now I been switching back and forth from the contour to the summit, but this looks like a great Father’s Day gift for my pops.

Looks just about perfect. I’ve hesitated to switch to the other Trayvax wallets you’ve reviewed over the years for this very reason. I think I’ll try this one though.
I got the armored summit a couple of years ago and it’s great, but the day the new one came out I immediately bought it. It’ll be a great upgrade

Dig the Trayvax leather … I have been carrying the Ascent for a while & hooked my son up w/the Element … this one might be a contender but the quality on these things are so top notch, hard to think of switching … great review!
As I first saw this Wallets on one of your Videos I ordered the OG 1 Wallet and it is really great. I Love it so far. Now after a couple years of using it, I can say that this wallets hold up pretty good. Very small signs of usage. Almost look like new.

I have the contour for already 5 years. The reason I chose the contour is because I don’t carry cash most of the time and the fact that the wallet is smaller than your standard pocket wallet made to carry bills.

I have an element, been my go-to for several years and love it. So with say 9 cards and 9 bills, how does the size of the venture compare to the element?
I’ve used my contour since 2017, loved it so much I got a second one which is still unused. The only complaint I have is folding bills when I get change at the register, very annoying. This new venture wallet is looking more functional and pretty sleek. Am def buying it

A lot of stores and restaurants here in Honolulu still only deal in cash (Chinatown) so I have a Recycled Firefighter bifold wallet with a cash band.
I’ve had my element for close to 7 years now it’s been through 3 deployments haven’t changed wallets one time had to warranty it one time for the leather tearing around the button closure coulda got another year or 2 out of it but with a warranty like there’s why not get a new one put on I keep wanting to get a different one of their wallets but old faithful just won’t let me down I wish they would come out with a AirTag holder like ridge has I have a janky leather holder I cut a slit in and threaded on the strap that has held up for about 4 months now but I’d like something that looks a little more intentional

Ive bought many wallets from Trayvax and the trek knife. The knife broke and I had a new one shipped and that knife was dull as hell. they couldn't offer me a refund because they didn't have record of me buying anything. So much for a 65 year warranty
Been carrying the Summit for close to 3 years now.
Would love a new element that can carry a tad bit more. The metal on the element would make a good self defense weapon if needed. Right across the bridge of someones nose.
Looks great! How does it feel weight wise compared to the contour?
3.34oz so feels just a little bit heavier than the contour
I’ve been looking at getting a new wallet and I’ve always had a bifold wallet and keep it in my back pocket. I keep a lot of other things in my front pockets but I’ve been thinking about getting a small Fanny pack/crossbody pack so I can take that with me and keep my pockets free of crap and then just carry a front pocket wallet. I’ve been looking at Trayvax wallets and I love that they’re “heirloom quality”, made in the USA and are minimalist. I’m just worried that I’d just spend the money and hate it and then I’m stuck with it because they aren’t cheap, atleast for me. I really like the Element Wallet, if I did get one of their wallets I think that’s the one I’d get in the Mississippi Mud. I’d also have to get the wallet comb and I can’t forget about copping the Talon Carabiner multi tool!
Maybe I’ll just have to bite the bullet and get them for myself for a personal Christmas gift.

I think just the small footprint and minimal design
I know video is older.talon I use the same travax lanyard on my keys and put them in back pocket..but what do you do when you sit down?do you just take them out of your pocket?hope you see this.thank you

I still have my Original as well with the whistle attachment when they still had it available as an accessory. I received their new release email, and I do have to say that it’s an interesting piece. I have to ask though, are you carrying the Venture in the front pocket or rear?

@@TalonSei cool to hear cuz the video I saw, he said it was recommended more as a back pocket carry, & looking at the metal frame, it would probably be problematic to say the least. Thanks for that reply though, will definitely give it serious thought.
I wish Trayvax would make a wallet that has slots for a pen, flashlight or utility blade etc.

I've been using the original V 1.0 for a number of years. It is finally starting to show some serious wear. I am thinking of getting a new one. Will this fit comfortably in your front pocket? I like the idea of not being able to see cash from the outside of the wallet. I only carry emergency cash. I don't carry very many bills, but I do carry about a dozen cards consistently. I think I know based on the video, but which one is your favorite?

Still waiting on Trayvax to make an all leather minimal wallet. I don’t like the metal, especially because my wallet sometimes ends up in the same pocket as my phone.
They should’ve put another card slot in the back and another one inside.

I've had a few Trayvax wallets over the years and still using them today. This one looks like it's a pass to me. I think I'll stick with my Ascent.

How would this wallet be in the back pocket?
I've got the OG still. Wanting to get another Trayvax bc the velcro back is falling apart. Also the metal frame is so bent up from using it as a pry bar and screw driver it is no longer comfortable to sit on.
Great question. It's not intended for the back pocket. Our designer built it with the front pocket in mind. - Shon

I just ordered the accent yesterday and used your discount code, and you can either chose to apply the discount code or get free shipping, you can’t get both, that’s really annoying of them, you basically save like 1-2 dollars with the discount code, and if you have free shipping if your order is over $59, and then you apply a discount code, they take off free shipping and charge you $5, you basically don’t save anything, really really messed up and annoying on their part.

I'm curious, how do some people have so many cards they have to carry? Driver license, 1 debit, 1 credit, key card for work/employee ID. What else is there to carry in your wallet besides cash?
And a lot of people use their phones nowadays to pay for things with whatever debit/credit account they want.
ID, business credit, personal credit, debit, CCW permit, shift comb, Costco card.

@@RedNeck_Zeus dude Im a bartender. Ive seen people sift through 20+ cards looking for one to pay with...I think it's mostly people with way too manh maxed out credit cards.
@@mrpipps90 too many maxed out credit cards AND rewards cards for stores they only visited once and probably never will again (many that out of business)

@@TalonSei thank you for clarification. I have the Original with the high roller band, Ascent,Contour brass,Renegade. Sold the Element to my co-worker after I had the leather re-done on it. Excellent heirloom warranty. Got the Keychain and Original carabiner. Been looking at the accessories more and was interested in this Venture cause of the cash access feature. Just hard to put down the Contour. Venture does look nice though.

Venture if you like having cash. I hardly ever do so I will probably end up back on the contour in the future.
Contour is still better
Although the design of the trayvax venture is interesting it more of a traditional style than minimal wallet because when fully loaded it becomes like a less fat fat wallet with the same height and width of a traditional wallet so it can't be considered as a downsized wallet as the only way you can carry it is a back pocket so you still feel like you are sitting on a small slightly more squashed animal or a jacket pocket or I suppose a leg pocket if you wear combat
Or cargo trousers.
