  • Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson (accompanied by Ali Hutton) perform "The Mountain Streams Where The Moorcock Crows" live at the Tolbooth in Stirling as part of The Visit 2016.
    Showcase Scotland Expo promotes Scottish music and artists at the The Visit event in Scotland. From 24-28 April 2016 delegates from the German, Northern & Eastern European markets travelled to Scotland.
    The Showcase Scotland Expo team take the delegates to different parts of the country to soak up the history and culture and enjoy showcase performances by a selection of the most exciting contemporary traditional music artists in distinct and special venues.
    TRADtv was invited to film the performances. The performances took place in Saint Luke’s and Drygate in Glasgow and the Tolbooth in Stirling.
    As part of The Visit 2016, TRADtv filmed performances by Bella Hardy, Blazin’ Fiddles, Breabach, The Elephant Sessions, Mairearad and Anna, The Paul McKenna Band, Peatbog Faeries, RANT, Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson, RURA, Shooglenifty, Siobhan Miller, Skerryvore, Sorren Maclean, Treacherous Orchestra, Twelfth Day and Yorkston Thorne Khan.

    Jarlath is to piping in 2016 what Davy Spilane was to piping in the 80's...but Jarlath has taken progressive piping to a whole other level! In my mind, the best piper on earth at this moment.....

    Played this a lot when ma Mum died in January, beautiful tune, fu' o' emotion, it helped let the tears flow. RIP Mum. Is there a recorded version to buy by any chance ? Loving all the music of Ali, Ross and Jarleth, taking af fae where Gordon Duncan left us.....
