- Nombulelo Yende sings ‘Měsíčku na nebi hlubokém’, also known as the ‘Song to the moon’ from the opera Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák. She is accompanied by pianist Yuna Saito. The Opera Studio Soirée is an established format at Oper Frankfurt, where the young singers of the Opera Studio perform with excerpts from their opera and song repertoire.

A most appealing voice indeed. Singers may come along with great range, or fresh interpretations, excellent acting, or some other special quality -- but if the voice lacks appeal, they will be lucky to get anyhere with a vocal career. Here, however, we have a singer who not only knows how to handle an aria, but also knows how to engage an audience. Naturally she is in the early stages of her career, but she seems to have all of the indicators for promising a successful one. Thank you for sharing this.
