PLEASE pin my comment about the dangers of using Ozempic and having any surgery or other procedure done using general anesthesia!!! Ozempic and similar meds work by slowing gastric emptying. Surgery patients are usually told to fast and not drink liquids for at least 12 hours prior to surgery under general anesthesia, mostly to avoid the patient vomiting and aspirating stomach contents into their lungs. However, a patient using Ozempic will NOT have an empty stomach after 12 hours!!! As I mentioned in my original comment, I learned this from an anesthesiologist on CZcams who did a warning video on this subject. Because Ozempic slows the emptying on the stomach, it takes MUCH MUCH longer for the stomach of a patient taking Ozempic to have an empty stomach. This Dr showed the volume of stomach contents which he had suctioned from the stomach of a surgery patient taking Ozempic who had fasted for 12 hours- there were liters of stomach content, including corrosive stomach acid! The danger here is that a surgery patient taking Ozempic will still have a large volume of stomach content even after fasting, and if the patient vomits while under anesthesia and aspirates the vomit, they can end up SEVERELY burning their lungs from the corrosive stomach acid! This anesthesiologist recounted actual cases of this horrible situation occurring. PLEASE warn anyone using Ozempic to discuss this with their doctor and surgeon PRIOR to having general anesthesia. I take Wegovy (the same drug as Ozempic, just more expensive 🙄), and I was SO glad I saw that video!!! I have been considering some elective surgery, and this scared me SO badly!!!

So I live in the country. There are a lot of snails. They surecrete this yellowish slime that you cannot get off your hands, or cat food bowls. That stuff just does not go away, even with soap. It's crazy how much it can stick to you and make a barrier so nothing can get through, not even soap.
I was wondering what kind of stuff you can do with a slime barrier that nothing can get through. Maybe for burn victims to keep the burn from being infected while sealing in moisture for healing.

In Belgium, our health care minister (the federal one, because we have 6 total governments, no joke even) made the ruling of no ozempic unless you are diabetic, and the pharmacists will not sell it to you unless you are diabetic. I've had to explain the difference between fat and mammary SO MANY times over the years. Before my top surgery I was a 32DDD AT THE SMALLEST, when I was a stick. I wish this plastic surgery trend would slow down but it seems like it’s happening on younger and younger patients. I had a Septo/Rhinoplasty for an accident in childhood where I smashed face first on my nose in to the concrete floor and had a severely messed up nose for about 25 years, and last year I had to have a revision because my nasal tip was starting to almost twist making one nostril bigger and different from the other, and I had one side that was all blocked off so they reconstructed my nasal valve. I was made fun of constantly in high school and felt so ugly that it just dominated my thoughts almost. I for once felt normal after the surgery even though it wasn’t perfect because I still have a larger nose. The hump is gone and the boxy tip is gone and it looks so much better than it did. I had to have a Cadaver rib graft this time to fix the tip because there wasn’t anything left for cartilage because it got used up with the first surgery. I don’t like how they’re making people literally scared to age which is not healthy at all. I don’t care who you are but everyone ages, some better than others. They make it sound just horrible and it’s hard to have constant commercials pushing crap at us women in our 50’s who have gone through Menopause which really changes your face quite rapidly, and it takes some getting used to. I love this doctor’s caring and realistic nature. He has such great advice and makes me feel better for just being a “normal”woman.

🌟PLEASE PIN COMMENT!!!PLEASE BE AWARE - if you are using Ozempic or similar drugs, and will have an operation done under general anesthesia, you HAVE to stop Ozempic several WEEKS before surgery. Ozempic works by slowing down the emptying of your stomach. Surgeons have people fast at least 12 hours prior to general anesthesia to avoid the possibility of the patient vomiting and aspirating stomach contents into their lungs. A patient taking Ozempic will STILL have significant stomach contents even after fasting for 12 hours. I actually just watched a video by a licensed anesthetist discussing this subject. He had suctioned the contents of the stomach of a surgery patient who was on Ozempic. He suctioned the stomach contents before the patient was operated on. Although the patient had been fasting for at least 12 hours, a huge amount of stomach contents (including HIGHLY ACIDIC stomach acid) was suctioned from the stomach. If that patient had vomited while under anesthesia and aspirated those contents, he would have actually BURNED his lungs from the stomach acid!! In fact, during this video, the Dr recounted stories of this EXACT scenario occurring, and surgery patients who ended up getting SEVERELY burned lungs! So PLEASE discuss with your doctor and surgeon about being on Ozempic (or similar meds like Wegovy and Mounjaro) BEFORE undergoing any procedure requiring general anesthesia!

However in the meantime I had two pretty bad accidents which left me with serious mobility issues and a lot of anxiety whereby my diabetes went totally out of control! My diabetes specialist prescribed me Ozempic at the beginning of 2023 and because very unethical doctors were prescribing it to undiabetic people just for weight loss it caused a huge shortage of the medication here in Ireland, ergo it took several months for me to get my hands on it! So for all you non diabetics out there please if you have a weight problem go to a professional dietitian and get on a proper diet instead of depriving us real diabetics of our much needed medication! It is, but is also used “off label” as a weight loss medication bc people using it for diabetes ended up losing weight. So now it’s also prescribed for weight loss. The version which is marketed specifically for weight loss is Wegovy. It’s the exact same medication (semaglutide), just marketed for treatment of obesity.

I have a question about having breast implants removed. I got mine 27 years ago. Saline under the muscle. Not long after, I started getting a pretty severe rash on my face when exposed to sunlight or fluorescent light. Then came symptoms of CFS. Then I had shingles which the ER doctor said was the worst she’d ever seen. I still have CFS symptoms and rash on face with UV exposure. I now have Snoopy boobs that don’t look good as well as the health problems and desperately want the implants removed and a lift and fat transfer done. What is the average cost of this? It’s a shame insurance doesn’t pay for this. Since it’s not proven that implants cause the health issues I have it’s still an elective procedure to have them removed and I’m not sure I could afford it.

The scalp popping is very scary. To cure my headaches, I will reach my fingers into the roots of my hair where the headache is at, grab all the hair I can and twist it left or right until it's tight. Then let it go when I feel it release. No popping, no pain. Easy and it helps.

My 90 year old grandma said “titties”. She thought it was a cute word for breasts (English wasn’t her first language). Like people say pee instead of urine… my mom had a bug bite on her chest once and my grandma said “is it on your titty?” In all seriousness. I thought it was cute.
I used to work out a lot. My boyfriend wanted me to get implants (I also breastfed a child for several years and I was afraid and I couldn’t justify the price). Then I broke my foot and then covid hit. My bra size went up 3 sizes and I didn’t gain weight (just kinda skinny fat)

I have lost 35 pounds but it didn’t drop fast. I hate that doctors are prescribing it for weight loss because that has twice left me without this medicine that is helping my diabetes.
