Veteran Directed Care Expansion and Federal Updates

In FY2022, Veterans Affairs (VA) announced an ambitious plan to expand Veteran Directed Care (VDC) nationwide. Since then, important pieces of legislation have been passed and introduced including the PACT Act, Cleland-Dole Act, COMPACT Act, and the Elizabeth Dole Home and Community Based Services Veterans and Caregivers Act. This session will discuss progress in the VDC program over the last year, potential impact of legislation, and Federal funding for long-term services and supports and VDC.
