Great video. I was on the cruise with my daughter. We had a great time. At the party one person asked me about politics and I answered their question politely and then told them that I didn't come on this cruise to discuss politics and I thought it was over. At dinner that night, she told someone at our table about my political affiliation and he did an antisemitic gesture. My jaw dropped. I didn't engage so thankfully he stopped. There is always someone in any group that wants to argue about politics but I just live and let live and don't get involved.

All the neighborhoods are great, we live North of 466 and think we are in the best part, we have friends between LSL and BW and think they live in the best area. When we moved here two years ago we had two cars and one G cart, after three months and we added a second Gcart. Now we are down to one car and two Gcarts, are car rarely moves. We do everything in our Gcarts.

I can't believe someone would call Social Security a senior welfare program. I started collecting at 65 and I will never get back what I paid into Social Security. That was my money I paid into it and I watched it Grow from the time I was fifteen to when I retired at 63. They took my money every paycheck. In what way is that welfare? No that's my money that they took from me and used to finance things I didn't agree with. Don't know why that bothered me so much but it really did. There was only one year from 15 to 63 that I did not pay into it.
Most people get all they pay in SS in a matter of a very few years. We have to depend on the working force of today to keep SS going. SS money doesn't finance anything. You need to educate yourself more on exactly how SS works.

Looks like you guys are having a great time! Just a quick tip. When you pack for a trip, cross pack. Put half of his clothes in your bag and half of yours in your husbands bag. That way if a bag is lost you at least have some clothes. The same with basic toiletries. We learned the hard way on a trip to Costa Rico. Party on🎉.

The political question reminds me of how divisive politics is meant to be. Everyone gets along great until a few hot button topics get introduced into the conversation. Those hot button topics are rarely black/white issues and rarely define who we are and how we treat others but because politicians make their living off of those topics they have to invoke hatred and division to keep their careers alive. Just love one another as best you can.
Excellent comment. I am trying to refrain from political conversations. I will be 68 years old next month and it is time to fill up my bucket list. I am involved in issues that concern the future, but I belong to those particular groups that I have interest in. Politics and religion are topics to stay away from because everyone has an opinion, and they are not like mine. I am a free thinker and a progressive Liberal and I belong to the LGBTQ community. I keep my mouth shut.

However, I am a little taken aback by so many of the political views in the comment section about being in a red state. What was that all about? Were they on the right youtube channel? To the person who considers Social Security to be a federal welfare payment, I think he posts the same nonsense on another Villages CZcams channel I watch. I got my first "real" job in 1977 when I was in high school. When I looked at my first paycheck, money was deducted for FICA. I asked my Dad about this FICA deduction. He said that is a mandatory deduction for Social Security payments when you retire. And every job I have had since then, money has been deducted from my paycheck for Social Security. So this person is either getting paid in cash, or more likely doesn't work at all.
I listening to a lot of people saying people are leaving Florida because of the cost of living has become ridiculous high with insurance plus flood insurance inwith people can not afford to live in Florida.if you are on a fix incomes..eventually Florida will be a ghost town only the very rich can afford to live there.

Great show as usual!! It seems we are always a month apart in our cruising. We are cruising the end of March on Holland out of Fort Lauderdale on the Neuw Amsterdam. Would love to see you both on a cruise.
The political question reminds me of how divisive politics is meant to be. Everyone gets along great until a few hot button topics get introduced into the conversation. Those hot button topics are rarely black/white issues and rarely define who we are and how we treat others but because politicians make their living off of those topics they have to invoke hatred and division to keep their careers alive. Just love one another as best you can.

Excellent comment. I am trying to refrain from political conversations. I will be 68 years old next month and it is time to fill up my bucket list. I am involved in issues that concern the future, but I belong to those particular groups that I have interest in. Politics and religion are topics to stay away from because everyone has an opinion, and they are not like mine. I am a free thinker and a progressive Liberal and I belong to the LGBTQ community. I keep my mouth shut.

Another great show! I would have loved to been on that cruise with so many nice people and congratulations on 45. It was such a joy to see all the happy couples. However, I am a little taken aback by so many of the political views in the comment section about being in a red state. What was that all about? Were they on the right youtube channel? When's the next cruise? I would be all over an Alaskan cruise!

Another love fest from The Villagers. A real fantasy land for seniors for those that don't know any different. Because you were behind a large group of people taking the cruise. Did you get a free cruise or at least a discount?
To the person who considers Social Security to be a federal welfare payment, I think he posts the same nonsense on another Villages CZcams channel I watch. I got my first "real" job in 1977 when I was in high school. When I looked at my first paycheck, money was deducted for FICA. I asked my Dad about this FICA deduction. He said that is a mandatory deduction for Social Security payments when you retire. And every job I have had since then, money has been deducted from my paycheck for Social Security. So this person is either getting paid in cash, or more likely doesn't work at all.
I listening to a lot of people saying people are leaving Florida because of the cost of living has become ridiculous high with insurance plus flood insurance inwith people can not afford to live in Florida.if you are on a fix incomes..eventually Florida will be a ghost town only the very rich can afford to live there.
