@@Rares0101 thank you for enlightening me ❤️
@@dreamerofthornsimagine Mystra as the Goddess of Swords. people who use swords would pray to her but that doesn't make them sword priests.
in that version of the story gale is a really good swordsman who eventually caught his Gods attention. meanwhile the priests are in the background being like "oh great she's found another mortal she thinks is cute, remember, nod respectfully and try not to piss off the boss"
Clerics aren't just worshippers, they're advertising boards and public faces of a God. Gale definitely worships Mystra, but he's not exactly converting people or servicing a church to her in order to bring in more followers.
@@xalrath woah. Another great explaination!
@@garion046 Yeah I was just about to comment that Clerics are basically the PR people of their deities, trying to amass more & more normies under their respective deities, kinda like how Goddesses of Harvest or w/e still have clerics despite the world being littered w/ farmers anyway who outnumber the clergy as is
Every single thing Gale responds with. Is his normal dialog. Why the fuck did they go through the effort of even allowing you to select a different option if he says the exact same thing
This is a silly question. It’s just another way to get through the dialog that is a little more accurate to your character if you happen to be a cleric of mystra. If there was nothing there people would ask why there weren’t options.
@@SonicBoyster That makes no sense. For how much effort Larion put into this. It's More silly to imagine they added additional
. dialog options but has no additional voice lines. Considering everything else they were able to cover. This just seems like a bug and there should be other dialog that Gale speaks.
Those options aren't about Gale, they are about you. As a Cleric of Mystra these things come easy to you. That's all these options signify. To Gale it makes little difference.
I had that dialogue. too. But my Mystra cleric/ bard is always very cute and understanding, not so ...masculine. She knows always what to say to Gale . ;)
You will still have moments whe it gets weird to serve Mystra under the circumstances and the way the godess treats Gale later. I only say "War of Roses". But my cute little elf convionced thze guy that it's better to date someone who is mortal by now. :D
Wtf
Yeah it's pretty goddamn weird to be a cleric of Mystra trying to date Gale when Gale used to be rawdogging her
@@JB-xl2jc It's pretty weird even when you're not a cleric of Mystra. Gale reminds me of a toxic player in D&D with a backstory that I would never let pass as a DM, yet Larian through it would be a good idea to add that Gary Stu to the game...
@@WallySketch Gary Stu? Bro, he fucked around and found out. Nothing Gary Stu about him. Don't get me wrong, he's the most boring companion, but it's not like he's horribly written.
@@doomerbloomer6160 The "tragic backstory" or "fallen from grace backstory" is very common with Mary Sue/Gary Stu.
The moment Gale is in your group, he makes everything revolves around him. If he dies, you HAVE to bring him back or the game ends.
He has an ending dedicated to himself where he is the tragic hero.
His ex-girflriend is a goddess, because of course she is. He is treated as one of the most important magician of the world, knows everything about magic and always have word of wisdom to share.
He even solve some riddles for you if you have him in your group because he is so smart and everything is easy for him.
I am sorry but he is 100% a Gary Stu.
why he got stains all over his shirt though
thinking about Mystra a little TOO much...
His shirt is supposed to be velvet I think?
@@hannie3000 I know, I was trying to make a dirty joke XD
