I have the SP404 MKII and I've always struggled with it to the point where I put it aside for a while. I saw this and realized THIS is what I needed. I got in there right before it sold out!...hehe
The mk2 has a hard learning curve… this ko actually looks accessible!
This was my favorite demo and I’ve watched them all (ordered it day 1). Ppl are hating a lil bc it’s TE, but it has a ton of cool options and the dopeness of a sampler is all in the hands of the user.. 🤷🏽♀️ I can’t wait to see some dope producers on it. Hoping Marlow Digs and MaloBeats get it.
3:28 Functions and capacity aside, every video I watched about the EP-133, people are beaming with joy playing with it, they are having fun creating and making music with it. That alone already makes this thing special and endearing to many.
This has got to be the most hyped piece of gear since the arturia minifreak. I hope to pick one up - looks like an inspiring piece of gear
Last thing in the world I Need is Another sampler. But I believe this thing could be used as a midi sequencer add multiple sequences at different lengths..crazy
It looks like a big ass calculator. I have put a chill on the gear acquisition... I have way too much stuff already and I am still learning the gear I have.
I love this video, it’s great seeing your reaction to it……I feel exactly the same and I’m no musician….I just love interesting, really well designed tech and this ticks all of the boxes.

The MK2 is more expensive BUT blows this thing out of the water!! I wanted the MPC ONE at first but I tried the MK2 with the updates and I saved a couple of hundred. It pretty much does everything you want and need. Sample Trek and now this will have to bow down...
The MPC One does a lot more than this but it’s more for well rounded production. I love my MPC One but I ordered one of these cuz I love making beats on the go and this is a cool way of doing that along with my PO-33. I don’t really like the design of the SP 404 or any other portable samplers (including MPC Live II). They all look too boring or ugly imo. But I dig the retro futuristic style TE has.

I'm a Roland sampler guy by all means. And this machine seems like it makes the 404 workflow much simpler. I've used the 404, 555, and 606. And I always run into issues getting ideas down fast because of the sluggish workflow. This seems to help get the technical stuff out of the way to make it faster to get ideas down and work backwards to adjust

Hey, just pre-ordered mine in the UK, some questions that I'm wondering you might know... Does it Save complete Songs that you create on it? And do you think they might put a Firmware out there to save via USB-C (memory Card dongle), or better still, use the USB-C port as a data drive for work and samples?? Thoughts Bro? Like you I have my wife in the studio (AKAI Force) and nothing can replace her... but still this looks fun 😃 and its not being sold at some ridiculous price!!!
The main thing I want to use it for is chopping up break beats for making drum and bass. It would have been really nice to have had a high pass filter on sampled audio. On the PO33 KO you could filter each individual chop which was really handy. I think it's a bit of a shame not being able to step sequence like you could on the PO33 KO which was very very fast. On although definitely going to buy it, it seems like a lot of fun

The problem I have with a machine like this is it seems like you’ll spend most of your time staring at the screen and menu diving and double button pressing! And for a machine without pads the wear n rear will be telling after a year or two! It’s a cool device but offers nothing incredible I think the only incredible part is the price coming from teenage engineering
