I think Jess has to one of my favourite presenters. I’m quite an unfit person, I can’t run a 5k, therefore I run/walk a 5k and slowly building myself up. I always feel self-conscious about how hard I’m breathing and that other people will see how unfit I am, but Jess always shows me that even really fit people who run races and marathons breathe hard when they’re pushing themselves to improve

cheers to you. You can do it :). Like me well above 100kg started to run 1,5 years ago. minute by minute getting better and able to do a 10k in 1:05:24. If you keep running you will be improving and getting fitter. Thumbs up :)

Watching someone achieve a PB is so inspiring and so relatable. It doesn't matter your pace or experience, we all go through the same thoughts, physical exertion and emotions, whether it is a sub 60 minute 10k or a 38 minute (beyond the reach of most of us) target. Well done Jess and keep up the fantastic videos!

Awsome job! I'm 58 years old and will be running my first 10K July 4th in Atlanta. I'd love to try out those shoes! I started running 9 months ago after spending 10 years sitting behind a desk without any exercise. My motivation is I want to live healthfully for as long as possible, both for my daughter and for myself. 😊

Solid effort Jess. Smiling that genuinely while running at 3:40 pace is beyond my comprehension. I've never quite managed sub 40 but after a year of endurance events this year, next year ive got 5 and 10k PBs in the crosshairs.

  • @leirem0
    @leirem0 Před 2 měsíci +8

I'm really new to running - started Couch to 5k last July as an unfit 31 year old mum who has never been able to run, but recently completed my first EVER 10k race round Colchester Zoo 😃
I have just introduced speed workouts as a result of everything I've learnt from TRC after finding you guys a few weeks ago and cannot even FATHOM a 3:45km 10k pace - I can't even do that speed across a 50m sprint 😅 honestly so impressive and inspiring! So that's what I'd use the shoes for - to keep pushing myself in my (not very speedy) speed sessions!

You shouldn't be doing any speed work at all. Take 6 months to build up your cardiac base with a mix of easy and long runs. Otherwise all you're doing is jumping ahead without a solid foundation, which risks injury and actually slows progression long term.

Way to go Jess! I have a half marathon in two and a half weeks, but after that I want to train for a 5K PR so that's what I'd use the shoes for.

Congrats, that's an amazing achievement! This is inspiring me to push even harder for my next half marathon race in September... I would love to have a pair of speedy shoes to help me achieve my goals

Congrats! A sub 40 minute 10k was a dream of mine, came to 42.5 at 27, but very far away now at my age.

Incredible job Jess and such a great, relatable video. I'd love a pair of the shoes for a half marathon PB attempt at Run Bournemouth in October!

Well done Jess! I'm currently training for a 10km with a much more modest goal - I'm aiming for my first time sub 1hour! I find you all at TRC so inspiring when I'm training for my goals and your videos always motivate me 😊 I would love to be considered for the shoes to help me in my training.

Great video as always. Well done Jess, that was so inspiring to watch. Wasn't sure what my running goals were for the rest of the year, just coming back from an injury, you've convinced me to do a 10k!

Well done! Amazing run and great vlog series.
I have also recently done my 10k sub 40 goal (39:12).
I would use the motivation and shoes to shoot for a sub 38. And a fast 1/2 marathon on the way to the big goal of a sub 3hr marathon.
PS: You guys keep teasing Andy about his age, but he's sooo young! Hahaha. I think getting someone aboard who is pushing it in their 50s or 60s would add a whole new perspective and inspire even more.

I would love to try the shoes for my 1st marathon in Dublin this october and make use of their versatility!

Congrats Jess! So inspiring to see you dig so deep for that PB. I’d love the shoes for some races throughout the summer, and they’d be great for some track sessions in the build up, as I’ve just joined my first athletics club!

Way to go, Jess! I've got a half marathon in just over two weeks and then I think I might continue into training for a full marathon. I've just about run through my current everyday trainers and could definitely use a new pair!

I've got a 41min pb from 2021 that im hoping to take to sub-40 this year. These types of videos are great for motivation before a hard session!
If I won the shoes then hopefully they'd help me smash that pb, just like you 😁

@@runningchannel Thank you for the kind words! Personally enjoy running at a faster pace, so prefer the 5k training. But can't understate the joy of overcoming the mental barriers of the marathon

Congratulations Jess! I find every video from the running channel so inspiring and relatable.
I'd use the trainers for my first ever race which is a 14km race in August. I'm pretty new to running and remember celebrating when I completed 2 mins of continuous running so I still can't believe I'm attempting to run 14km, but I'm excited for the challenge
