No, the thing is you don’t need any documentation to travel to Dublin because it is visa free. However, due to the high crime that’s being done there, then they kind of have to scrutinise you at the airport to make sure that you are not going there for some shady reasons. They need to ask permission from the embassy as you are at the airport. So I’d suggest that you arrive early and allow time for them to send a message to the embassy so they can either allow you to go or not. When I got to the airport the embassy was already closed. They only let me go because I had a valid Schengen visa and a good travel history on top of it.

Just bring all the standard visa application documents, proof of work, proof of accommodation when you arrive, reason for travel, return ticket, and proof of funds. I don’t know how much money they need but I think in most countries it’s 60 euros per day
