What was your fav national anthem?! 😁 Like the videooo ♥️🗺
Deutschland 🦅🇩🇪
France. It may be gory but it takes about unity, passion, and fighting for a good cause. It comes from the French Revolution.
I also I love South Africa. It is a country with a dark history but people have come together to build one of the most prosperous counties in Africa. It’s anthem is sung in Xhosa, Zulu, Sesotho, Afrikaans, and English.
Even if we disagree with a counties government we will always be one as a people. People everywhere have amazing things to share. I cannot wait for part 2.

The Star and crescent moon is a popular image in Islam though it originated in the older Byzantine Empire. The Ottoman Empire {the precursor to modern Turkey} saw themselves as the heirs of the Byzantine/Greek empire/traditions.
Hi, german here.
So I don't know what exactly was meant with ''do you sing it in english or german'' (1:45). Since it's the german national anthem it's sung in german.
And to the second question: Germany kinda kept it's anthem after WW2.
The ,,Deutschlandlied'' (song of/about Germany) was written waaaay before Germany was even a unified nation (if you didn't knew, a single unified german state didn't exist until 1871). Back when it was written Germany was split in many small kingdoms and duchies and so on. It was more like a war song, calling for a united german struggle against the French invaders (during the Napoleonic wars). When Germany was formed in 1871 it's first national anthem was ,,Heil dir im Siegerkranz (Hail you in/with the winner's wreath)'', which has the melody of ''god safe the King/Queen''. After WW1 the Weimar Republic (Germanys first attemt at democracy) adapted the Deutschlandlied, with all it's 3 stanzas. The first one is probably the most known one with ''Germany Germany above all'', which got ripped out of context and abused by the 'crazy moustache man' during WW2 for his propaganda. After WW2 West Germany first adopted all 3 stanzas again, but later got rid of the first 2. The first stanza had too many bad implications with what had ahppened during WW2 and the 2nd stanza was just not really fitting for a national anthem, so the German national anthem in only the 3rd stanza. Meanwhile East Germany wrote an entire new anthem after WW2, called ,,Auferstanden aus Ruinen (risen from ruins)''. But after Germanys reunnification 1990 there where many proposals of mixing the two anthems, for example the eastern lyrics with the western melody and vice versa. But in the end they just stuck with the original third stanza of the Deutschlandlied.
I hope I could help ^^
true
No matter your opinion you can’t deny Russian anthem slap’s 😂😂😂😂
The best
The French Anthems IS about the French Revolution
Not true. It’s about the July Revolution, after the well known French Revolution. When, Austria was France new enemy. 😅
@@jamesswindley9599 No it's about the French Revolution...
@@jamesswindley9599 no dude, the song is about the French Revolution but was adopted a century later as the new national anthem.
I’m french and yeahhhh its about the French Revolution!!😂
The slavery bit in the Italian anthem is a bit complicated.
It says that "Victory" (the goddess and personification of victory) was created by God as a slave of Rome. So the personified concept of victory is the slave here.
Basically it just means that Italy is destined to be victorious.
France Anthem : Let's water our fields with their blood
Italy as a modern nation was founded in 1861 when multiple smaller kingdoms were united.
For Türkish flag; Legend has it that the red on the flag is blood red and represents the spilled blood of martyrs. The image of the Turkish flag is formed with the crescent moon and a star reflected on these bloods at midnight. This legend is said to have taken place in the First Battle of Kosovo in 1389.
In the other hand, On the Turkish flag, the Crescent represents "Islam" and the Star represents "Turkishness". The red color represents the "blood" mixed with the soil. According to another view, it is said that crescent and star represents "Turkishness" from Central Asia and the red background represents "Homeland". It is known that the 8-pointed star used in the Turkish flag represents victory. The 5-pointed star, which was first used by Abdülmecid (31st Sultan of the Ottoman Empire )and is still used today, represents the human being. Almost all Turkish states in history have a crescent and star in the flag.
One thing I like about our national anthem even if u are don't speak other languages but u are able to sing it with pride 🇿🇦
SOUTH AFRICA REPRESENT 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Italy has been a Republic since 1946 but was unified as a single kingdom in 1861 (that year is usually considered to be the founding of Italy). Before that there was different kingdoms, city states, duchies and the Papal states and most of it was controlled by other European monarchies or powerful merchant families. The unification process started after the Napoleonic era and is the reason the Italian flag looks almost the same as the French one.
About "La Marseillaise", France's anthem, it was written in 1792 during the revolution and after France declared war on Austria wich started the war of the first coalition against France. It became the symbol of the Revolution and of the Republic.
Just learned that in italian class lmao
Right. And the music of the french anthem was written by an Italian.
А как же Римская Империя? Давайте уж тогда и совсем в глубь заглянем.

Russians have such a beautiful anthem, respect from France
As a french i can say Italy have a very good national anthem !
Thank you. France too. Look; the Italian flag born in Napoleonic period and french anthem was written by an Italian.

@@Valerius333ITA nope. The music of the French anthem was composed in 1781 by the Italian Giovanni Battista Viotti, court musician in Paris. Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle, wrote just the text.

For many countries in the commonwealth, the king of England is technically their head of state but they're still independent countries with their own laws, governments and national anthems
South Africa is fully independent from the UK and is a Presidential Republic. So, as of now, it's as much related to the UK as France, basically.
Australia is a Constitutional Monarchy so it's an equal Kingdom to the UK basically. Just happens that they both have the same monarch. But they are a fully independent country otherwise.
Most of countries: "We are strong and we will defeat you."
Czech Republic: "Our country has milk and honey...." 😀
Russian anthem the best in all over the world❤
On Serbia, the Serbian language is written in the Cyrillic alphabet. The same one used in Russia and most of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
14:00 might surprise you but that language is Serbian.
In general, countries in Europe have the main language named after the country:
France - French
Spain - Spanish (Castille - Castillian)
UK: England - English, Scotland - Scots, Wales - Welsh
Germany - German
Portugal - Portuguese
Etc.
The US anthem is actually written to an ENGLISH tune.
The German anthem written to the tune of the 2nd Movement of Haydn's Emperor Concerto
As a south african our national anthem is more like a prayer
Our South African national anthem is made up of 5 different languages.
Germany’s anthem used to have the line Deutchland, Deutchland, Uber Alles. (Germany, Germany Above All) but they got rid of it due to the negative connotation.
How very wus of them.
Turkey symbol legitimately means a Islamic symbol, Pakistan has the same symbol, most Muslim majority countries would have that.
Muslim Countries adapted it from the ottomans the crescent moon is nowhere mentioned in any text to be the symbol of Islam
Пошел на войну с Японией и выиграл Хиросиму? Вы серьезно? То есть вы реально так считаете? Вас этому учат в школе? В университете? Выиграл-это когда ядерную бомбу сбросил на город?
The Turkish story for the crescent moon and star is that a sultan saw the moon reflecting on the blood of soldiers after battle but historically its probably because the goddess of the capital Constantinople was Artemis and they adapted her moon
in the anathem of italia they where talking about the belief in roman times that you coud imprision the roman godess of victory, Vittoria, and never be defeated. there was a tradition to make statues of the godess in the temples whitout wings to prevent it from flying away and scape from Rome and that the city could be defeated. Then the godess Vittoria was imprisioned in Rome and made the city victorius, Vittoria was slave of Rome.
Why did you sciped Russian anthem
According to the most common acknowledged legend the red in the Turkish flag represents the blood of Turkish soldiers which made up a fairly big lake in a war zone on which the moon shone side by side with a star in its crescent from, but historians generally accept the ancient mythological interpretation of crescent and star which is in old Central Asian Turkish Mythology and epics, crescent represent the lands and the country where Turkic people live and the star represents the same Turkic people protecting their homelands.
Russian one is beautiful
Azerbaijan "Azərbaycan marşı" and Tuva "Мен - тыва мен" I think are the best national anthems ever, both are so powerful despite the small size of the countries.
Finland just turned 105 years on Tuesday 😊
In the vast majority of rankings, Russia and France are almost always both #1 and #2...
Sad Azerbaijani noises (though to be real, their anthem is very underrated)
Australia, New Zealand Canada, Jamaica, the Bahamas Belize Handsome their countries in the commonwealth have a royal anthem, and that’s not save the king
🇹🇷The red colour represents a sea whichs water turned red because of the fallen soldiers that fought for the countrie back than. And the moon and the star are "reflecting" on that red turned sea. Also many people say that the moon and star are a symbol of islam, while many other people also say that islam doesn't have a symbol. ^^
You could say that all british colonies had earned independence through agreements, wars etc. Today they are independent countries, own governments with their significant policies, they are no longer british citizens. Thus they can write, use and promote their own anthems.
You need to watch a video of the Italian national team belting out the national anthem to see true passion
The Republic of Italy was founded in 1946. It abolished the monarchy after World War II, which was founded in 1861, when all of Italy united. Before Italy was made up of different kingdoms, republics, and state, but with similar culture. Also, Italy was under the fascist rule of Benito Mussolini around the time of World War II.
Germany use the 3rd. stanza after WW2. The first stanza was "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles" and was used in the "Weimar Republic and the Third Reich". Greetings from Germany
National Anthem
Of MOROCCO has been the most beautiful one this world cup!!
When a country celebrates independence they normally make a new national anthem as they are free and want a song to represent their own country they would rather be separated from the British national anthem and pretty much all other things
The best national anthem is the Welsh national anthem! 🏴
After all, people's tastes are different and you can't judge them. Everyone likes something different, so saying that one anthem is better (prettier?) than another doesn't make sense. Anthems have their historical and political justification. They were created in different eras and cultures. So it's not about catchy melodies, moving rhythm or crazy arrangements. It's not a Miss Beauty Contest. Tastes change, hymns remain, because they carry other associations and values than aesthetic ones.
Yes, the German Anthem was changed after WW2, or rather partly reinstalled (3. stanza). The whole Deutschlandlied was the Anthem of the Weimar Republik until the Austrian painter took over and changed it. And it's sung in German xD
It is fascism or narrow-mindedness?
Both ))
France.and.Russia❤
Germany had the same national anthem during WWII, but with different lyrics (this was the old third verse). Serbia use the Cyrillic alphabet (the same as Russia), but speak Serbo-Croatian. "God Save the King (or Queen)" is the anthem of the United Kingdom, but not of other countries in the Commonwealth, all of which have their own anthems. And even within the UK, the four separate countries have their own anthems (England's "Jerusalem" and Wales's "Land of our Fathers" should both have been on this list!). South Africa's anthem is unique in that it combines two separate songs - the second half is basically the same tune as the Apartheid-era anthem but with new words. The message is that all parts of the country need to come together to make a new nation - and it works brilliantly. FWIW, I'm biased as a New Zealander, I feel our anthem should be on that list somewhere too!
New Zealand has two national anthems, not one.
@@erongmusku9475 yeah, but one of them is never used as such, and is shared with other countries. When someone says "The New Zealand anthem" they always mean GDNZ.
I am really glad you liked Serbian Anthem 😇
the last minute of this video is the best
france: when u get attacked by countries (kingdoms/empire) because of your revolution and not get obliterated, i guess u end up with a revolution/war anthem to boost morale and troops (and civilians).....it's not a derivated british tavern song like the US anthem... ^^
France= country with most war win in the world 1115
This is a difficult topic because many people cannot separate a good song from politics and their own views and hate for others.
Clearly most of these songs have nothing to do with the modern world as they are older than most people alive.
As a Swede I would obviously say Sweden's the best. But it is kind of boring and generic.
I do like Denmark's however it is a good one.
Germany, France and Russia have very catchy songs that sticks.
As far as I remember Germany changed the lyrics after WW2 to be more downtoned.
The older lyrics are more powerful with " Germany above all others"
Italy as a united country is almost 200 years.
But I guess they don't want to acknowledge the old fascist WW2 regime just like Germany.
Well. Germany does aknowledge it's fascist past... It's a huge part of our understanding as a people today... The time of Adolf is teached thoroughly in school. We deal with this topic very often. Germany is one of the biggest players when it comes to aknowledging the bad parts of it's past...
,,Don't aknowledge'' sounds like we would want to avoid our past and better not talk about anything. But exactly the opposite is the case
@@ditontrupp2113 Interesting. When I grow up all I knew was not mention the war when it was Germans around.
Guess things have changed. Glad you can talk about it now history is history.
Man, June 2 1946 is the day Italian REPUBLIC was founded due to a constitutional referendum. Before, Italy was a kingdom (under Savoian dynasty) since 1861. No one's trying to erase past, you just have to ask the right questions 😅
Russia has the best Anthem
🤦🏼♂️What has national anthems ever done to you?
Why did you cut out the German Anthem!? You just cutted it out. 😢
I'm not even French, but I have to say this: "Babe", "La Marseillaise" is from the 1800s. And if your issue with it is that it is a bellic anthem, I must ask: have you actually interpreted the words to "The Star-Spangled Banner" (which, by the way, is also from the 1800s)? What do you think it is about? "the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air" gives such a cozy friendly feeling to an anthem, doesn't it? At least there's no mention of blood and I guess that's what matters. How do you think most countries were/are born and is thus ingrained in their identity and national symbols? That's right, war.
9:22 we were in a war and we won at the end of it. It was night and in the surface there were blood of Turkish soldiers everywhere. Moon and a star near it were reflecting in the blood. Since that night it have been our flag. And anthem is about independence war mostly
So you're surprised Australia doesn't have same anthem as UK, a separate country on other side of world. OK....
I can tell you had A LOT of friends in school. (Sarcasm, thought I’d clarify since you are apparently dense.)
Don’t sweat it Favor, technically God Save the King/Queen is still the royal anthem but Advance Australia Fair is the national anthem that people use regularly.
Also Australia is fully independent but it it’s a Commonwealth realm. On paper, the King of England, is also the king of the other 15 realms but other than that they are fully sovereign. Charles has no real power in the realms.
Two of the best national anthems are the one from Czech Republic and the one from the not existing country East Germany. And yes, the russian. Its a very nice anthem also if we arent happy with their politic.
Italy was established
March 17 1861
The Russian one is objectively one of the best of all time
Nah it's our French Anthem "La Marseillaise" Greatest Anthem in the World. Above most inspiring one.

Each country under the Commonwealth has its own independence and own anthems. In 1901 we became a federation, not fully seperated from Britain but able to govern itself.
I'm not French but from my studies it was around the French Revolution that you got the anthem from, so that's why it's so graphic.
The anthem of Brazil is the most beautiful in the world.

You need to listen "A Portuguesa" Portuguese Anthem. The melody is incredible 🤗🇵🇹
This is really true. Quite the underrated anthem but a really good one.
One of my favorite anthems.
A lot of the British commonwealth countries do sing god save the king as well as their own national anthem we do it here in Canada and the Australians do as well
Мне не нужно твое мнение, чтобы знать о том, что гимн России-один из лучших❤

There is kind of a myth behind the Turkish flag actually, it is said to have come from the reflection of the moon and stars reflection on our soilders blood. The red mostly symbolizes the blood spilled in our war of indepence
I believe my little island in the Caribbean, St.Vincent and the Grenadines 🇻🇨, have The Best anthem. No doubt I'm biased, but it's a good song too.
Islam is the dominant religion in Turkey. The moon and star are a religious motif, and the color red clearly symbolizes the blood we shed in the War of Independence.
As a French, I can say that we don't say "rlrlrlrlrlr" for the R letter, that prononciation is quite old actually x)
why did you cut your video?
9:19 turkey flag has the moon and the star because its the reflection of the sky to the blood of dead soldiers and the crescent represents Islam
at 2:11 iim italian and, 1946 is the republic creation, the ACTUAL italian oundation in in 1861, when the kingdom was founded

The German anthem was actually pretty fast in this video. We normally sing it much slower 😅 Kind of like the British anthem. Even though I think the anthem of Russia is by far the most beautiful I respect your choice to not watch it 🙏🏼
I don't. It's an idiotic choice.
Italian national anthem is the best 👌. Italiaa italiaa italiaaaa
Italy was founded in 1816, the italian republic in 1946
Also, why you cut the german and italian anthem?

I’m 100% with you on Israel and Russia, but objectively speaking Russian anthem has by far the best melody ever
FWIW, the old Tsarist Russian anthem (pre 1917) was even better - a beautiful piece of music.
where is the russian national anthem?
Sotherton african national anthems use a few tribal languages along western ones as well
Most anthems are basicaly war marchs. Czech is about beauty of country. ;)

That's a dirge, even worse than 'God Save The Queen'. The only thing it could inspire is sleep.
