I try to get as close to the band as possible which helps pick up all the instruments and keeps the crowd noise at a minimum. Unfortunately the vocals are still hard to hear because the clubs sound systems aren't set up properly.
@@JamesSterling James I've been dabbling with syncing the audio from the lossless audio recorder with the lesser quality of the video recording in hopes of bringing the muddy micced up vocals to a more acceptable level. Tricky business but I'm working with what I've got. Great video by the way.
@@JamesSterling I've had varying degrees of success but nothing I'm satisfied with posting- yet. It really is a compromise to the overall fidelity to even try to do this but then I also understand why some are confused by the muddy vocals when everything else sounds so bright and clear.
That's the fault of the clubs sound system. Vocals are not amplified properly. I record what you hear in the club. I was sitting just feet away and heard what you hear in the video.
