Trains at Preston - 21/02/2023

Filmed on 21/02/2023. Moving along down the West Coast Mainline to one of the busiest stations in Lancashire, yes this is the return to Preston. (Season 10 Episode 5)
This was and can still be the hub of Northern testing their CAF class 195 and 331 units before they were introduced into service replacing the class 319's and for Transpennine Express testing their Nova 2 fleet.
With a mixture of passenger and even some freight passing through the station working fast, stopping and even intermodal traffic which is popular between Mossend through to Daventry. Since the December timetable changes, the Northern class 158's are no longer working on Preston to Blackpool South/Ormskirk/Colne workings and are now replaced by the class 150 and 156 Sprinter units. The class 158's do a few rare diagrams between York and Blackpool North with the daily Dales Rail service which runs once a week between Blackpool North to Carlisle via Settle & Carlisle Railway.

Both of those 66 66122 and 66126 are on loan to DRS for RHTT duties from DB cargo I guess Drs just don't have enough locomotives atm
