    Today I install a Alltrax SR48400 Used Controller on my old series club car ds golf cart. This give us the ability to unlock the settings and adjust how the cart operates. We needed this before we install our Plum Quick Motor in the next video.

    This is a great series “no pun” …. Recently bought a 2004 Club Car DS and these are the exact mods I was looking into. Thank you! I enjoy all of your videos and have learned a lot from watching. You are very thorough and make it all easy to understand. Awesome job, looking forward to the rest!

    I've had golf carts for about 14-15 years now. Never done any modifications to either one of them, but now you have my attention!! Keep up the great videos. ✌🏻

    I just finished my first alltrax change out today. In researching “how to “this video came up. Perfect, I’ve done Navitas upgrades but not alltrax. Also first time on a older DS , a little different animal. Anyway , thanks. I went into it knowing exactly what I had to do. Once again you make me look good , keep them coming!

    Hey Ryan, I really appreciate the videos and improvements on the series DS carts. I'm in central NC and bought a 48v series DS to take to Ocean Lakes. My father-in-law bought a 36v series DS after I got mine. Time for improvements. Very helpful for me! Thanks!!

    hello, love the videos, new to carts, I just came across an fsip motor with alltrax controller, hd 48v solenoid & charger and trojan batt's (cheap) on marketplace locally its off of a 2014 precedent. do you think that it would fit my 93 resistor cart? Id be upgrading from 36v i know. i really just need to know if the motor would bolt up on my axle.

    Came here from you newest Plum Quick video. I have a '99 CC DS stock with the Plum Quick Grizzly. Can I just change out the controller and solenoid only? USB A to USB B 2.0

    Iv got the alltrax and I changed my wheels after the factory settings and now that they are smaller it's acting like it doesn't want to go to high speed do you know if I can change the wheel diameter.

    Thanks for the info, I've watched several of your videos. I've diagnosed on my new-to-me club car ds 48v that the controller is likely bad. Any interest in selling the old controller from this video?

    Do you happen to have a discount code for the cenerius battery? And would you recommend the cenerius battery or the enjoy bot? I like the cenerius is because it has the on and off switch. I know Joey bought used to, but they no longer do on their newest battery. Any chance I could schedule a phone call with you? By the way I have thousand 16 EZGO RXV.

    You didn't click "Save All Settings" under the "Controller" tab and all settings are likely still at 50%

    Opinion question: I have a 2012 precedent, RHOX lift kit and wheels and a mad jack rear seat kit. Stock motor and controller and running 4 1/2 year old lead acid batteries. I really just want to get as much distance as possible and am not overly concerned about gaining a bunch of speed. In your opinion is there a lithium battery that won’t break the bank but will be reliable? I noticed you don’t always use big battery for everything.

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  Před rokem

      Yea, I'm not stuck on one battery company. However my longest range to date and was on youtube was 58 miles on a single charge. I've heard a lot of other people say thats nothing but they havent posted it like they said they were. That was with the silverwolf teekon and big battery husky.

    Always enjoy you videos. Guessing 48V batteries in parallel would allow you to get much more current to the motor. The controller being able to handle 400A and you only have approximately 100A with batteries in series. Is that correct?

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  Před rokem +1

      The batteries are 100ah batteries, that is capacity (run time). The bms in these batteries says 100a continuous, I could up the amperage but if Im riding on the road only, then I wouldnt pull anywere close to 100amps and If I did it would only be at the very beginning to get the cart going. Another thing that I think confuses a lot of people is just because you set the controller to amperage out put doesnt mean you would pull those amps. Say you were pulling a trailer, Going off road in mud (not a hard packed path) or traveling up hills would you ever pull that kind of amperage. These are 12v batteries so I can only run those in series. If they were 48v and I ran them in parallel then the bms in the batteries would help share the load. Each battery now has its own bms and some people disagree with that, However I've ran these in a different video with my navitas ac doing 35 mph on a regular road. Still wasnt pulling that much amperage in that video either.

      @@Fentertainment thanks for the response. I think I’m applying my solar knowledge. Just build a pretty big system back in the Midwest and has 300amp from batteries into 400A charge controller and inverter. Running compressors, AC etc. draws a lot. Thanks for the reply pal! Keep up the great work.

    Question. I have a club car resistor cart and id like to delete the resistors. Correct me if i am wrong but i think i just need a new style F&R switch and a Potentiometer for the throttle along with the controller like the one in your video. And i should be able to make my own wiring harness with it just being ring lugs and spade connectors at the controller? Thanks

    • @JeffersDIY
      @JeffersDIY Před 4 měsíci

      Also, i see on the link for the controller there is an option for the red controller that says it is for 5k-0 speed control. Isn't the potentiometer 0-5k?

    Can you just swap out controllers? I inherited a 2007 Bad Boy Buggy with dead batteries, going lithium ion and the Navitas DSE 1000 that could also be bad. Too expensive to replace. Looking for an affordable alternative.

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes you can. You gotta make sure if your bad boy is series or sepex and ive seen both. I know you can get them for cheap however they can be a pain to work on. For series the motor will have a1a2s1s2, For sepex the motor will have a1a2f1f2.

    I know you get a lot of stupid questions but here goes another one . If you had a 91 ezgo stock , what would be the first cheap thing to make it faster? Thanks

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  Před rokem

      Thats a marathon? I guess it would depend on how much you wanted to spend. But if its a series 36v cart with good batteries then I would start with a aftermarket motor.

    • @williamhartman9
      @williamhartman9 Před rokem

      I meant to say all I have is the 91 ezgo and brand new lead acid batteries. I want a whole kit. So the motor , solenoid, controller, I suppose wires too ? See I just don’t know which parts to buy . I know you recommend navitas controllers . They have different volts and Watts’s and my head is spinning and smoking . I don’t understand any of it. You are a wiz !
